SHAHE Absolute Caliper (Aliexpress) : unboxing & test!

This model seems to be the 5100 (no indication on the packaging and the manual).
The positive points :
- robust model (170 grams), IP54,
- correct execution and good sliding,
- correct resolution, precision, repeatability, linearity,
- ABS mode (but not displayed),
- automatic (5') or manual switch-off,
- automatic or manuel switch-on,
- storage box with closing flap,
- USB output,
- non-embedded display.
The negative points :
- unidentified model,
- no battery delivered,
- confusion about the type of battery (manual : CR2032, CR1632) while a CR1620 battery is fine,
- screen arrived scratched,
- ABS mode not displayed and INC mode via the ABS key
- traces of glue on the module in two places.
For 35 € on Aliexpress, it is an interesting model.

- mode ABS (mais non affiché),
- extinction automatique (5') ou manuelle,
- allumage automatique ou manuel,
- boîte de rangement avec clapet de fermeture,
- sortie USB,
- afficheur non incrusté.
Les points négatifs :
- modèle non identifié,
- pas de pile livrée,
- confusion sur le type de pile (notice : CR2032, CR1632) alors qu'une pile CR1620 convient très bien,
- écran arrivé rayé,
- mode ABS non affiché et mode INC via la touche ABS,
- traces de colle sur le module à deux endroits.
Pour 35 € sur Aliexpress, c'est un modèle intéressant.

Dear, if you clean your caliper, wipe it with isopropyl alcohol, maybe you will get exact results.
Whenever I get a different reading, I clean both the caliper and the object being measured, and I always get accurate results.
The 0.01 difference was constant, possibly a thin layer of oil that came to protect the equipment.

Dude are you in the jungle? 😅
Anyway, the 0,02mm difference is within the tolerance that the manufacturer stated. The thing works perfectly fine.

Sorry but I dont undertood the difference between ABS and Zero button ?

The ZERO button makes a relative zero anywhere within the measurement range.
The ABS button always returns to the zero of the measuring range without the need to redefine it.
