I've been bald for 4 years and in the past years ive been to every dermatologist and treatments, and 2 weaks ago i went to a psychologist and i told him about my case with hair loss and he said that i had zinc vitamin deficiencies and that i should take ecitalopram to reduce stress, so about a weak ago, im for real my hair started growing, if anybody is curious look up the benefits of zinc vitamin its basically good for hair treatment and helps to regulate hair oils, this doctor that i went to is from one of the universites that specialize in medical research UNAL, so they know what their talking about. I would've loved to see a comment like this 4 years ago anyways, i pray to god this advice works for you guys, be blessed and take care ❤🙏

It took 2 years for my hair to look normal (all the hair fill out and gaps disappear ) and most people’s hair took 5-12 months max. 4c Afro hair lady speaking. And yes I went to a cheap turkey clinic.

When I saw her video, I immediately thought about you! It's awesome that you ran across this video! Hopefully she will run into this video for encouragement.
I think it would also be helpful to have a trichologist and dermatologist elaborate on how often your hair should be washed once you do a hair transplant. For black women in particular, we may often wait a week or longer to wash and moisturize our hair not realizing that dryness may also be causing breakage.

You can moisturize between wash days or cowash to add moisture.
I love how you also talk about how it emotionally and financially affect the client, I never get that here, never did surgery but every time I need to get a shot (I'm afraid of needle and I literally would faint after a shot), they always tell me to just suck it up.

I wish i could afford this treatment. As a woman who lost the centre of her hair at 33 through stress, I have never felt the same ever again. You dont realise how you can loose confidence with the loss of certain things. I hope her result turn out positive 🙏🏾
Minoxidil…use that, rosemary oil and tee tree oil just keep using it don’t let this go any further. Do not stress everything is going to be okay it’s part of life right we all have problems I’m stressed too with my student loans of 12k but I tend to not think about it and go day by day. One day at a time.

I used fenugreek seeds soaked in water. And spray the water as a mist..

Thank you for posting this. I had my procedure done about 8 months ago, and even though the hairline filled in there’s still a bald patch where there is hair visible but they don’t seem to be growing and it’s very depressing especially so far into my process. I’m currently finasteride and minoxidil coupled with some micro needling to see if anything changes before I conclude if it was a failure or not.

Thanks for posting this! It’s made me feel better! I’m at just about 2 months after my procedure and I’m really freaked out that it didn’t work because it looks so bad! But I’m trying not to think about it, also trying to not look in the mirror. 😉

Hi Dr. Linkov. I think you have a great platform and I love your compassion. I think you should do an updated analysis of Erin Moriarty. Her new look is going viral and would be good to get a professional analysis. Not so you can bash the poor girl, but more so to talk about how she got to this point and maybe give your thoughts on why people should maybe avoid procedures. I feel her case is one of the most tragic plastic surgery cases I’ve ever seen as all her natural beauty is gone and she doesn’t look like the same person anymore.

I had a hair transplant and I can attest to feeling exactly like her in my second month. I was sharing my progress but decided to pull back on sharing because it made me depressed. I am now 7 months in, ut isn't bad, but I am hoping it will get better. I am also taking Nourkrin and I have been on it for 6 months. I think the Nourkrin is helping.
Dr. Gary, I'm not a hair transplant patient, and this doesn't work for everyone, but I am a firm believer for myself to use oils that can stimulate hair follicle growth such as peppermint, supplements such as Biotin were beneficial for me. Safe styles that involve not pulling hair back so tight, like she said reduce stress. I lost my mom and I had the same issue as the McClure's mom, with thin edges. But hair oils and supplements seem to work for me. Still on the journey. Love your channel, it's informative

The clinic planted some grafts with existing hairs in the mid of scalp .
I know i have to take medicines for atleast 6month .
But do i have to aplly minoxidil at that part of scalp which grafts implanted along with existing hairs sir ??????

I lost a lot of hair due to thyroid change of medication. It all grew back but for awhile it was very thin. Sort of like male pattern baldness.

You won't really know unitil the hair starts to grow properly. Like 4-6 months.

Hey Gary I have a question in regards to beard transplants. Are you supposed to be able to see hair in every place it will eventually be in as soon as the scabs come off? I’m two weeks post-op and it seems like I’m lacking lots of density and have barren areas although they claimed to have given me 2200 grafts . Is it just shedding that happened so fast or will the grow not happen at all? Thanks
Call your doctor and ask them. I’ve had a few sessions and called my doctor all the time with questions. That follow-up is part of what you paid for

We recently learned that Minoxidil can be deadly for cats, and since we have a 3-year-old cat at home, my boyfriend, who has been using Minoxidil for about a year to address his hair loss, is looking for a pet-safe alternative. He's considering hair transplant surgery in the future, and although he thought about trying Minoxidil in tablet form, his doctor advised against it due to concerns about his blood pressure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🙏

I started using rosemary oil as an alternative to minoxidil.
There’s been quite a few studies recently that’ve given very similar results between minoxidil and rosemary oil.
I switched every other day and then after a month I just used rosemary oil.
I also use a micro needle stamp before application as well.
Oral Finasteride is also a HUGE help.
Just make sure you look up proper and sterile use of micro needles.

Dr. Gray, how are you? My hair and also my husband's is thinning, can we do a hair transplant? we do not have obvious open areas, but we would love to have fuller hair like before. we are on our 50's. thank you.
My hair was thinning due to vitamin deficiencies & being dehydrated. Try taking vitamins like zinc, biotin, and vitamin E. Do daily scalp massages with oils like castor oil & coconut oil. Exercise also stimulates hair growth, which is something I found worked for me lol 😂 and now my hair is thick and healthy . Also avoid sulfate shampoos as they strip the hair and use sulfate free shampoos. My favorite are ones with horsetail extract, biotin, and hair strengthening ingredients

Hi Doc am an African in Japan. I dont have problems with my hair I just use Japanese hair growth medicated spray to just grow my hair longer but its all good.
Hope someone draws her attention to this. She would feel so much better, if she really is feeling that bad, after hearing Dr Linkov's very good explanation of the process. How has she not looked his information up?
It seems that she was encouraged to go for it but wasn't told that the process of regrowth is much longer. This should have been in the disclosures that presumably she READ before she signed. But, I KNOW people don't read them.
I read them and have had many experiences with the check-in people being clearly impatient but trying not to show it. Plus, people only hear what they want to hear sometimes so she may have been filtering the time discussion while her head is swimming with the dream of having a full head of hair again. She was probably wearing wigs which must be terribly hot and uncomfortable so the prospect of being wigless may be her dream come true.
I know they're running a fakey engagement kind of channel, but man it's hard to watch a person three months post-transplant pretending (hopefully pretending) they have no idea how long hair transplant results take and that they have no idea how to support new hair growth.

I think that was for attention, I thought she was sincere until I saw 2 months post hair transplant. No one grows hair in 2 months. All Drs that does hair transplant, literature, and online hair transplant patients tells you it will take at least 6 months.
Hello doctor I love your channel, a great deal of information, congratulations.
I suffer quite a lot since I found out that I have alopecia, since so I decided to look for scientific researches, university professors and I started my journey. It's about 4 years and so far I got a bit better, the hair stopped falling, the scalp is getting all the herbal hair treatment ( natural ones ) and as you can see on my channel here on CZcams from baldness stage 4, almost totally bald to a healthier scalp. I know it's not perfect, however, it's all I can do so far.

For a black perosn it takes longer, about a year or more. Blacks have curly hair that grows slowly and short. Your hair transplant depends on how you take care of it.

It would be pretty discouraging to say the least if after a year of waiting for results, your hair line had already grown back away from the new transplant that's just showing up.

She didn’t. She lost her hair from severe malnutrition during pregnancy and it simply never grew back the same.

I got a hair transplant in April last year and I must say, I am not impressed with the results so far. A few transplanted strands grew but that's it. It's very disappointing. I'm still on Finasteride 1mg and Minoxidil. I recently started applying Retinoid 1% on the bald spot nightly in addition (on Saturday). I want to do it for a week to boost sulfurtransferase activity, then go back to the regular fin and min onky combo routine. I'm not happy because this should have been solved by now. I'm on like a Norwood 2 (black man).
Edit: replace the Fin 1mg with Dutasteride 0.5mg twice a week (Sundays and Wednesdays)
I also had PRP before and after the surgery. I'm due another session and I will go back.

This family is notorious from being famous out of creating content from anything to nothing and run with it. Their YT channel started from a viral video on the Mom interviewing the twin daughters where one of the twin was upset from being one minute younger/ older than her sister. This hair transplant experience is just them building up a new story line for their channel, nothing is real with them.
How could someone get a HT and not know about the ugly duckling phase? Did they goto a quack doctor that did not tell them?

Doctor Garry Linkov I would just like to bring to your attention a lot of the time you talk about hair treatment for hair loss and such you fail to mention and stress on the side effects of the medication on men like oral finasteride and minoxidil, and based on a lot of research I've found you can stimulate hair growth and prevent hair loss to a degree with scalp massages that encourage blood flow to the hair roots as well as rosemary oil. Both of these have zero side effects.
Granted this would only work with men who are still younger and haven't undergone tons of hair loss yet but are projected to undergo hair loss in the future. But I think you should definitely stress the preventative measures and lifestyle changes you can implement for the younger audience watching. So that they don't take away from your videos that the only solution for them is to immediately hop on medication.

There was recently a blind item on crazy days and nights that Chris Evan's alleged hair transplant didn't allegedly work either. Sad. A reminder to quit bad habits like smoking and other stuff because you need good blood flow for the hair roots to attach.
