EARLY BRAKING VS LATE BRAKING IN KARTING (EXPERIMENT)
In today's video compare three laps with different styles of braking!
Here's a tutorial on How to Brake in a Rental Kart 👇
czcams.com/video/FsB7JhqaHqw/video.html
Tips, rental karts where you don’t need to repair the clutch, leave your foot flat on the gas, and brake over the accelerator. The brakes will outperform clutch…ie you can still brake, but your revs remain high and exit speed higher. This allows a line more akin to true racing lines rather than following the apex. It also allows a deep brake and cut in on exit overtaking move. The issue in the late brake here is you were braking too hard (because you had to) which dropped revs too much, so laboured the exit.
I've been late braking, thanks for the info.
Spoiler. They're both slow.
Hey man nice to c another vid. Love it sorry i m late again i was busy with studies

How much difference does this make if u using an electric kart and being indoors?
thx
Finally the legend has uploaded
Where are you located? Is it possible to get lessons?
Is it okay to use threshold braking in hairpin turns?
Yes! This is help you with rotation and also keep the revs high throughout the turn.
@@kartingtips Should i apply early or late?
How do you keep the reve high in the corners?
With my understanding he means not using as much brake, meaning that you need to tap on the brakes and quickly get back on the throttle. In other words, always try to be on the throttle most of the time during a corner when your kart is already rotated enough to be flat out. Otherwise, you stay too much time off the throttle and the kart "dies" or loses a lot of momentum and the engine is a bit slow to respond.
@@davanierod_ oke thank you. But why is there a difference between rental karts and “normal” karts
@@marco_v_nmgn Rental karts are more for fun than they are for racing, and some an be controlled to reduce speeds and increase the lifespan of the karts. Race karts are just how they're named, they're for racing. They are more expensive and are taken to real competitions to win. So a rental kart can be the kart you drive on your birthday, and a racing kart is used when you're a professional driver.
@@davanierod_ I think I didn't explain the question well. I meant, if you have to keep the revs high in rental karts. why is that special for rental karts? why not also with normal racing karts?
@@marco_v_nmgnThe difference is that the rental kart has a way weaker engine than the racing kart. If your speed drops below a certain value, it will be really hard for the engine to catch back up to normal speed (notice how bad a rental kart's acceleration from standing start is). In the racing kart it's not a big issue if your minimum speed through a corner is a bit lower, you can use that to have a better exit and even be faster with it overall. But once again in rental karts once you lose some speed it's harder to get it back, that's why we prioritize momentum and high revs more in weaker vehicles.
I left you a comment in the video "How to take a DOUBLE HAIRPIN corner in Karting (tutorial)" in which I asked you for a tip. Can you go and have a look ?
Thank you very much, and another great video !
Sure! Let me take a look 👍
@@kartingtips thanks !
