Moving anywhere away from the downtown Phoenix area will not get the fans in the seats. You should move to where the former Phoenix Greyhound Park was. But Desert Ridge is just like moving to Glendale. You're saying, we don't need certain groups of people coming to games.

Footprint Center converted to basketball exclusively
Glendale sued the team for unpaid taxes, and eventually voted to have the Coyotes leave the city
Phoenix sued the Coyotes twice twice for interfering with zoning laws in accordance with planned flight paths
Tempe voted unanimously for a landfill instead of a new arena for the Coyotes
Little Caesars Arena, Climate Pledge Arena, and T-Mobile Arena took between two and four years to build/renovate.
The Coyotes have no land purchased yet. There has been no vote yet. And there has been to ground broken yet.
If the Coyotes break ground in MARCH 2024...the arena will not be finished until the 2026-2027 season SOONEST (with no delays) realistically it won't be finished until somewhere between 2026 and 2028. That is absolutely unacceptable.
The team has been rejected by Tempe, Phoenix and Glendale. A new half billion dollar arena it makes no sense.
Hockey registration in Arizona for 2020 was 0.12% (not 1%) a TENTH of a PERCENT.
How's the growth in the desert going Gary?
Hockey registration was 0% in Arizona in the 90s....now it's 0.12%....that's insanely pathetic. Auston Matthews is an exception. And he was BORN IN CALIFORNIA and PLAYED HOCKEY FOR THE USNTDP in MICHIGAN.

PEOPLE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THE NEWEST PROPOSED SITE FOR COYOTES ARENA ,
IS LOCATED IN NORTH PHX, / SCOTTSDALE NORTH OF 101 NEAR DESERT RIDGE.
THE BIG PROBLEM HERE IS THAT IT IS STATE TRUST LAND ..
MEANING THAT THE STATE WILL HAVE TO PUT THE LAND UP FOR AUCTION AT A FUTURE DATE TO BE DETERMINED , AND SELL TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER .. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT MERUELO ..

@@ElmerFudd16 yep or he’ll pay for it himself after all the guy is loaded. Also, the reason why the coyotes got kicked out of Glendale wasn’t because of rent. It’s because the coyotes refused to sign another long-term lease agreement with that city. Do you really think they were going to sign another one after the city weasel out of the original least they had with the team in 2015? the answer is no. Also why are you obsessed with children’s cartoons and toddler toys when you are a grown adult? It’s very creepy and makes you look like a pedo.

The Arizona Coyotes are 100% relocating.
The Arizona Coyotes have lost $115.2 million USD between 2013 and 2023 (according to Forbes Business of Hockey). That is more than any other team in the NHL over that same period.
The Arizona Coyotes DO NOT generate money for the league.
The Coyotes can't stay in Phoenix anymore because the footprint center converted to basketball exclusively.
The Arizona Coyotes were also sued by the city of Phoenix twice for interfering with zoning laws in accordance with planned flight paths.
The team was sued by city of Glendale for not paying taxes.
Rejected by the cities of Scottsdale AND Tempe.
How many cities are left? Mesa? Muerello bought land in Reno, Nevada, but a second team in Nevada is absolutely laughable...
Let's see. The Coyotes will play at Mullet Arena until 2023-2024 minimum.
There is NO arena planned. There is NO city chosen. Yet.
They still have to find a location. And purchase the land...
And then build a brand new arena from scratch, minimum 3 years construction (assuming there are NO delays). And that's if they don't get resoundingly rejected by Mesa, like the Tempe vote was.
2027 is the realistic soonest possible date for a new arena construction.
    Therefore...
The Arizona Coyotes are 100% relocating.
Why spend $500 million on another arena, which may or may not work out? That would be crazy. To build this team a new arena would be insane.
Videotron Centre - Quebec City, QC
    MODA Center - Portland, OR
    Fiserv Forum - Milwaukee, WI
Delta Center - Salt Lake City, UT
    Toyota Center - Houston, TX
    FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton, ON
Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse - Cleveland, OH
T-Mobile Center (Sprint Center) - Kansas City, MO
Are all available, NHL sized arenas in cities without NHL teams.
    Arizona Coyotes are 100% relocating.

The Coyotes problem is their management! If they can't fill "The Mullet" where are they going to find the people to put their butts in the seats. The players and coaching seem to be turning it around; That's great!
The fact they can't find a place for a new home boggles my mind. They have a good team. The appréhension from the valley is because of the HISTORY OF OWNERSHIP! I don't trust Mararello and Gutierrez as far as I could throw them. Decades of lies, this team will not make a penny off of me! I was all in in Glendale. Put them in ""The Madhouse on McDowell". It's centralized in Phoenix. Tearing down that eyesore of a building will be a great start. They need to use THEIR OWN MONEY! Fans have the B.S.; IT'S TIME TO DELIVER!
