I'm excited to see how these ARM chips on PCs perform alongside seeing how it pushes Intel to fight ARM in terms of efficiency. That being said, Microsoft's AI centric vision of how PCs will finally make me get a secondary Ubuntu laptop to see if I can actually move away from Windows once and for all. I do web and mobile development work, so we'll see how that goes.
I dunno - I don't think this first gen chip will be as power efficient as the Apple M series chips. I think these Snapdragon chips will suffer from a bunch of first gen issues, and I bet they'll only give about 8 hour battery life (with a 50Whr battery).
Base model for me. Low risk and I’ve survived on a 8GB SP9 So base copilot + should do me fine.

Yes, OEMs will add external GPUs, it was already thought of as windows is used for gaming as well.
I thought The Snapdragon X Plus had SKU's that were under 40TOPS. There are 3 SKU's each for the Plus and the Elite...6 chips total.
