  • Mangroves are vital to Indonesia, supporting fisheries, protecting against natural disasters, and aiding climate change efforts. To enhance restoration success, the Global Mangrove Alliance’s Indonesia National Chapter (GMA-Indonesia) and Mangrove Action Project (MAP) conducted an intensive eight-day training on Community-Based Ecological Mangrove Restoration (CBEMR). Led by MAP, the workshop equipped participants with the knowledge and practical skills needed for effective mangrove restoration. Participants from various sectors engaged in both theoretical and hands-on sessions, including field trips to apply CBEMR techniques. The training aimed to improve restoration skills, foster knowledge sharing, and build a supportive network for ongoing and future mangrove projects in Indonesia, ensuring effective and sustainable restoration outcomes.
