The ticking noise on the heater is the fuel pump. The melted hose is likely because you plugged the fresh air intake into the exhaust. The exhaust port should have the metal hose and it gets extremely hot. The fresh air port is right next to the fuel line. They don’t provide enough clearance below for the exhaust, most people put a cut 2x4 under both ends. I have the Vevor which is probably identical to that one. I set it on my metal tire table and then run the hose through the window. I cut a filler for the window and a hole for the inlet to hook into. You can use a dryer vent hose and put the heater on the ground. I think this is a better way to setup the heater as the noise is outside, the fuel and combustion is outside, only the hot air is coming in. There’s a video someone did where they cut a sheet of coroplast for the window. I wouldn’t give up on that diesel heater. If you bought it Amazon they don’t give refunds, however if you escalate and complain they will just refund it and let you keep it.

Hey girl I watch two guys in Canada that constantly have issues with their diesel heater, they r great when they work but when they keep putting out error codes they become a big issue, I hope u get it figured out, now for the ramp for Sky that’s gonna take some training , but first off u need to put some of that grip stuff under it so it don’t slide like it was, that there for sure is going to make her untrusting if it for sure , she has to learn, there’s always a learning process for us all.. Best of lucky honey ❤

The ticking is normal, it's heating up and pumping the fuel. The reason the hose melted is because it was kinked going through the floor. It's the exhaust hose.

I have the same heater in my RV and one set up in a room in my house. I think the ticking is almost soothing and how little fuel they use is amazing. Most heaters use a piston type pump. If you're feeling spry you can take it apart down to its components and install the pump outside.

We love our Newport Dickinson Marine Heater!! **It’s a boat heater that uses propane. Intake and exhaust are always outside the camper - so you get a nice dry heat. You will need to build a little panel that it will mount to (and a little exhaust holes Off the side … but worth it!
And we have a Carbon monoxide sensor in our camper just in case but I have never ever had a carbon reading with the Dickinson.

Is fuel efficient. And it doesnt have that annoying talking. Moisture output is really not a thing with proper cross ventillation and insulation.

Hi! From someone who had to train their old German Shepard to use a ramp when he couldn't jump into my truck anymore, Find a ramp you can fix into place, Dogs are sensitive to surfaces moving under their feet, and any little movement of the ramp will scare them to jump off. once it's locked in place and you don't have to worry about it falling down, while standing from the top of the truck you try and lead them up via a leash or treat trail! It took my old boy about 2 weeks to finally get comfortable with the ramp!

There’s a step that you can purchase for your tire. Set the heater outside on that step and use vents to move air out of and into camper. Youre going to have to install vent holes on side of camper. Plenty of youtube vids on it. Dont forget carbon detector. Efficient way to heat just be careful on install and use.

Becca, line the Dog Ramp with Doggie Treats spaced out at small distance from Bottom to the Top AND ONTO THE BED. Then leave her be. don't even watch her.. Hi firsttime watcher you and Skye are sweet and beautiful happy New Year and have a blessed year through. And try putting rubber on the ramp it will stop her slipping and can you lower it on the bumper might be easier if you can. It was a great video.

I think if you could make the ramp more sturdy for skye (less movement), she would feel more comfortable with it.

Try placing treats at intervals up the ramp so Skye can make her way up without realizing it. It worked for my dog.

I would buy one of those fire resistant mat like the one they use under a hot stove just to be safe. Put it under the heater.

Maybe something to keep the dog ramp from moving back and forth, to steady the ramp so the dog won't be afraid to walk up it.

Hey how are you? I am Dawn we met at an event last year at Kingston Bowl. I am on the road for the winter in my RV. I’ll be back in the spring. AAA has dental insurance if you are a member. I pay like $45 a month for vision and dental. I have a propane leak so I don’t have heat right now. I hope the new diesel heater works for you. I need to look into getting one soon.

When at first you don't succeed try try again. All n all good video. One more thing to try put ramp on the ground and have Sky walk across it a few times maybe worth a try.

When you buy a diesel heater the first thing you should do is to read the manual. The part that melted below it, is supposed to be outside of the area you are in, not inside, Just like it is installed on all other youtube videos that have that diesel heater. Also the display was in celcius and 36 degrees celcius was like a temperature to be in cancun on a sunny day

@Becca Not sure what the hype is over the diesel heaters...if it feels wrong than go with your gut and go with what you feel is safe and what you prefer. Me personally, I would just use a low wattage electric space heater.
Not sure but Sky may have hip dysplasia, it is very common in her breed of dog. This means that she will use her front strength to pull her up rather than use her back legs to push her up because of stiffness or pain. The ramp could probably work with some alterations for traction and something for stability so it does not keep sliding because that is probably off putting for Sky. It also might be too high of an incline still. A possible solution is to have some type of attachment or support that is 1 standard step size from the tailgate to the ramp. Even thought it adds a step up it will lower the ramp enough for more stability and a better incline for her. Adding carpeted rungs to the ramp would help too.
Hope everything works out with your new heater.

Girl you've got to go by the motto always be prepared.
New heater bring tried and true old heater, bring plenty of fuel for old heater. Always bring your heavy coat in cold weather, extra blankets. And always keep plenty of fuel in the trunk. You don't want to run out of gas especially out of town.
A question do you have a fire extinguisher? And make sure it's the right one for the application.

Open enrollment for a February 1st start date runs until January 15, 2024. Call the health care marketplace or even better go directly to the company likeDelta Dental of Rhode Island or any other company. You may have a waiting period for that tooth, depending on when you last that other insurance. 😊

The fuel pump beats like that. The exhaust pipe should be metal. You had them backwards. The metal one goes on the exhaust, The plastic one is the intake.
