This is absolutely so very helpful! I now understand why I have so much trouble decorating my cakes because I usually do it all in one day & so much crumbling happens!
I'm a home baker and self taught learner.you are my teacher... I love your way of teaching.... Love you so much my dear TRAINER
Thank you so much for this! I have learned so much from you in decorating, but love seeing the stuff no one talks about like how to store things and how long you can store.
This is so informative. Never thought of chilling the cupcakes in the muffing tin. You are the best! ❤️
This is so cool! Don't think I'll ever keep a cake in my freezer for that long though. No self control😂
I have been following you for so long, omg my first time commenting these tips are amazing thank you so much.🥰❤🤗 your a life saver 🤗
I learnt something new today. I never knew you can freeze your cake for a month. This has saved me a lot of time now. Thank you soo much
Hi Amy, thank you for sharing all your tips and tricks❣️
Me being from Germany my favorite cake is the Black Forest cake. With Kirsch and all. And it has been very well received at parties. 😉
I have been doing a lot of baking and this has been so helpful. I made a pound cake and the thawing tip in the Frigerator is awesome. Thank you. I just did two batches of cupcakes as well. I have frozen them in freezer bags and do not keep them frozen long. I have not experienced them drying out. Never left them in the pan. I will have to try this. Ty.
Very educational Video! Thank you ! And so calming !
My cake layers last much longer than a month in the freezer. I discovered this when I found some frozen cake layers that were hidden under some frozen items that were five months old. When they thawed out they were just as fresh and moist as the day they were baked.
Yes, I have too. Two plus months at least. 😊
Depends if you sell them, it’s illegal…

Love your videos and thanks for the share!!
I never even thought about keeping cupcakes in the tins to freeze. Great tip! Silly question for you, but... Do you let them cool completely in the pan before covering or do you remove them and then return to the pan once cooled? I find that if I leave my cupcakes in the pan too long they tend to continue baking, so I remove them after about 5 mins.
I made my cake earlier this month and it helps so much to make cake ahead of time. On my standard cakes I like to take them out of the pan once it is cool enough to handle and then wrap them and place in the freezer. It seems to lock in moisture and I never need simple syrup.
Thank you for this….❤
Thank you so much dear
Thank you, that was informative. I am wondering, can I freeze the naked layers, then pull them out to decorate, then freeze again once decorated?
I wrap them as soon as they come out of the oven it stays super moist.
Thank you so much your a life saver, I’m about to take my culinary final and I have to bake the cake on a Friday and leave it over the weekend and decorate on Monday, but I didn’t know how to keep it fresh, so thank you😊💖
Thanks ❤🎉 so much

Hi Amy Thx for very informative videos 🌸 easy to master ...have learnt so much from you however I seem to have a question .I followed your tips from freezing unfrosted cake to freezing a frosted cake ( unwrapped though) .gave it to a customer ,an hour later she called complaining about condensation on cake .any tips to avoid that would be much appreciated

When am covering the cake in fondant do I allow the frozen cakes to completely thaw?
Question can you use press and seal instead of plastic wrap?
Too much infomativ video... I'm new subscribe at your channel... I m too much inspired by your work. Lots of love from PAKISTAN
Do you need it to thaw out before starting to decorate or to start anything with the cake?
Thank you!! This really helped!
Heyy I’m hearing this for the first time and personally I am a person who has a-lot of trouble frosting cakes😂 thank you so much making this video❤️but I wanted to ask something should we freeze the cake layers while it’s warm or once it’s completely cool?
Do you add sugar syrup after you take the baked cake from the freezer to make it soft before covering with butter cream?
I needed this so bad🥺
I Vacuum seal my fruit cakes and am wondering how long they will last and should I put them in the freezer . Thank You
Can you do this with every type of cakes? such as genoise, sponge, chiffon?
شكراً مفيد جداً جداً 😍😍
Can muffins with basic icing (made with water, icing sugar & cocoa) on top be frozen or is it best to freeze with no icing? Thanks
How long can crumbled cake stay good for? I have some chocolate in a zip lock bag since the end of March in my freezer that I want to use next month dor cake pops. Are they still good to use or should I toss them?
I have bought some chocolate cake and I have put it in the fridge but I’m not sure if I should or not?
I usually freeze the crumb coat and then decorate the cake.. After that I put it in freezer later Wen it is out for serve I put it my fridge for sometime and then serve
.but my cake turns very hard and chilled not soften.. Y? After decorations Wer to store freezer or fridge pls help me out
can Both egg and eggless cake sponge can be stored?
Is this ok to out in chiller?
Will butter based cakes last a month as well?
So it's ok for the yellow cake layers to go to the freezer 2 times? First when they're plain and wrapped individually before decorating and then again when the cake is decorated. Am I right?
Why is it that some bakers say the moment it’s done baking put it in a wrap immediately then freeze and some say let it cool down then fridge it? So let’s say if I bake 3 layers right now and it’s out the oven do I let it sit out for two hours then wrap and fridge it or I can wait about 15 minutes then wrap and fridge it?
Let it sit for 15 min until it get room temperature and then go ahead wrap it and freez it
Can i use foil instead?
I always bake and decorate my cake same day 🎂🥳
good for u
Do you give them time to settle before using?
even for multi tiered cakes?
Hi, thank you for the great informative video. I have seen some cake decorators use a liquid spritz, spray or brush "something" in between cake layers before icing and placing the next layer over it.....to moisten (?) the cake. What is that liquid, if you know, and is it necessary? Many cake decorators do it. Again, thank you for your great tips. ❤️
It's usually sugar syrup/simple syrup. It's usually necessary if your decoration takes days to completely. But if you are serving the cake on the day itself, then no, it wouldn't be necessary unless you overbaked your cake
Can I keep my cake on counter overnight before frosting or in fridge? Which way is better?
Hello 😊I'm your new follower from Morocco🇲🇦 first I want to thank you so much for your outstanding recipes hacks and cakes 🙏I'm a cake maker amateur a house wife how like do everything by me if it's possible and you are an inspiration for me🤗 second I want to make a sheet cake from yours but I didn't find the decorations I want safari or animals like lion 🦁or tiger🐯 or zebra 🦓if you have a video of it please send me the link and I will be more grateful then I'm already😁 thanks again hope you are going to read my message and sorry for my rusty English 😅
Can u pls tell me how do you store fresh cream cakes for long period of time without affecting the texture and softness
Donuts and cookies actually also freeze incredibly well :)
That last part is very important I think.
Hi thanks for sharing
I have a ask, freezer does not make it loss softness?
Not at all! Stays perfectly fresh
very informative! Thank you for this
What if had already decorated the cake with fondant can I still keep it in the freeze for a week thanks dear
Yes you can
Hi there I stored my cake layers in the fridge overnight wishd to can i jump straight to decorating immediately I take out or wait for few mins at room temperature?
And do I still need to put again in the fridge after apply the crumb coat before fully decorating?
I like to decorate my cake layers when they’re frozen. I find that is the very easiest
Just a quick question, does anyone know how long the cake has to thaw before it can be served? Is there a special way to thaw it or do you just set it out?
The best way to defrost a cake is very slowly. Usually I will store a fully frosted cake in the freezer until 24 hours before serving. I will move it to the fridge the night before and I will keep it in the fridge until about 20 minutes before serving. Cakes should always stay chilled if possible

Does it dry out if it sits In the fridge without any frosting? Do you have to simple syrup the cake after 4 days?
Yes it does. But it will wouldn't dry out as much of its wrapped. But it's always better to freeze it rather than chill if if you are not planning to use it anytime soon
How will you do that one if you’re going to cover a cake with a fondant? Isn’t it going to sweat out?
I don’t usually work with fondant so I am not very helpful with us I’m sorry
Would you tell decorative cake practically how we can store
Have become addicted to watching your videos but if I could make one suggestion. The music in the background is super annoying
Keep up the great work!
My cakes did not dome. Did I do something wrong?
Question please.
How do you wrap cakes covered in buttercream? Won't the buttercream smudge?
Freeze them solid first. Wrap them up. And put them back in the freezer.
@@NeuroticMomBakes thank you!
You are very talented dear. Please call your channel 'Passionate Mom Bakes'.

I freeze my cake layers all the time.
Do you decorate right after taking
Them out the freezer
@@tasneemsaleh9471 my answer is yes!
How long do they survive after being removed from the fridge?
What if I don't have plastic
I bake and decorate the same day
Do let us know when you bake and decorate a 4 tier fondant cake on the same day
For frozen, undecorated cakes, after i crumbcoat the cake frozen, do I let it continue to thaw in fridge or room temperature and for how long?
For cupcakes, what is the thawing process and how long for each step?
Thank you in advance.
“They need to stay cool” she says as I’m planning a cake for late October in the south. Outside 🤦🏻♀️
Do you ever "Simple Syrup" your cakes?
What about chiffon cake?
Same method, we use chiffon cakes all the time in the bakery, and we always bake extra cakes and freeze them just in case of last minute orders
It would be so much better if you didn’t have the music.
