- Videogame villains are supposed to be terrifying antagonists and the intimidating foil to your playable hero. Every so often though they just sort of wander off and end up in another game from a totally different genre, doing something wholly inappropriate like go kart racing or playing traditional Japanese drums. Imagine living for hundreds of years only to get taken out, not by your blood cursed rival family who have trekked their way to you and defeated hordes of your minions and using a specialized holy whip, but instead some random skater bro who just kind of grinded on in by accident and knocked into you.
Well it was the 90s so a Belmont from California was inevitable.
Remember that one time Darth Maul took a break from battling Obi-Wan Kenobi to shred rails in Tony’s Hawks Pro Skater?
You cant forget the epic battle of HORSE he had with spiderman in that game

I think the phrase "Befuddled Bioweapon" is now my favourite thing ever. Nemesis isn't attacking you by slamming through the walls. He's just clumsy.

Tried lighting a cigarette with the flamethrower and confirming which way he is supposed to go using a laser sight on a rocket launcher as a laser pointer.
He's just trying to deliver her pizza, stumbling along behind her, trying not to get fired on his first day.

Well, we all know Claptrap has terrible taste, and often messes things up to advance the plot, but what he does well is provide comic relief.

There was a cross over thing with FFXV and AC Origins. In Origins there was a few missions which ended with Bayek finding Ardyn in a tomb after being led there by a falling star. You get a FF sword and shield and a camel with some feathers stuck to it pretending to be a Chocobo.

Why is Ganon actually nice in Animal Crossing.
Yes he has the cranky personality type but this is Ganon we are talking about the literal king of evil i am pretty sure hes a lot worst than Cranky.
They made Wolf Link smug and Epona peppt. I have a feeling they were throwing darts when they picked personalities. The limited personality types just don't allow for an accurate representation.

The triforce symbol is both older than Legend of Zelda as a franchise, and often used in the real world for various things. This doesn't mean anything more than the fact that the symbol was adopted by the creator of Legend of Zelda.

They show you a title like "times villains showed up in the wrong game" and make a list, then they show you everything on the list in the first 30 seconds of the video before setting aside 5 minutes a piece to gab on about how wacky it is to have those villains in those scenarios.

The characters in Smash Bros are technically copies of the real ones according to _d e e p e s t l o r e._ They exist in an alternate universe that acts as a nexus for the various series that the characters and stages come from, created by Galeem and Dharkon and directed by Master Hand.

My guess is just that Sephiroth seems to be the only villain in a story heavy game that isn't known at the beginning of the game. Like, Heihachi is just an asshole in a fighting game series, Pyramid Head is a monster, and Ganon is Ganon... No idea why Dracula is supposedly a spoiler, since he's basically the Ganon of the Castlevania games.

It *is* theoretically possible that some people don't actually know the major plot points that Sephiroth is responsible for. Unlikely, but some players may only know the remake, which doesn't go beyond Midgar.

I was playing Bomberman on the Switch, I soon found out that I could have castlvanias Dracula, Pyramid Head, and a number of other random characters. I was so shocked, but Bomber Pyramid Head walking around with the little flower bobble I put on his head is too cute.

On a work trip to Seoul, my colleague and I stumbled upon Taiko no Tatsujin in an arcade. It was an incredible experience, complete with enormous drums to bang on. It was difficult because the game was in Korean and we could barely navigate the menus. We played it so hard I wound up with a blood blister on my hand. I've been chasing that high ever since!
Technically, all the baddies in Mario Kart would fit if you think about it.
Technically, all of the characters are actors and the games they're in are stories and gigs that they're cast in. Miyamoto even confirmed that Mario 3 and Paper Mario are stage plays.

Soul Calibur promises post-Renaissance Berserk-style dark fantasy; so characters from Legend of Zelda and Star Wars and Tekken are out of place.
Really the only fighting.game.where nothing is really out of place is Mortal Kombat since it's all about dimension hopping.
I'll take the inclusion of Sephiroth just to see that cute chibi version dance some more. ;)

I'm relatively new to your channels and while I have been trying to marathon all your vids I haven't yet seen a list for something that I've been doing forever in games...maybe it's just me 🤔
If a game has any kind of collector/explorer vibe then at the beginning of a new level or area I will turn around and search. Not unusual to find something. You may think this has become extinct with open world gaming but I found this gaming staple in as recent as Gears of War 5.

It's not an XBOX game, but my first reaction to this video title was Culex. Seen in Super Mario RPG for the SNES, Culex is an homage to the old style Squaresoft games. It and its crystal cronies are the only enemy with no animations, and its theme is a remix of the boss fight music in Final Fantasy 4. Culex even mentions that you'd get along better with him if he was in another game.
Sometimes i like my own comment just to get it started.
And sometimes, I reply to keep it going.
This is a feeling I can relate to. Though if you're this early, you usually don't need to.

Me: ganon is ganondorfs beast form after the first hero would of failed in ocarina of time because he would have no reason to go back where as ganondorf is his human form there I go on a long rant about the zelda timelines AGAIN.
No, Ganon is a malevolent deity. Ganondorf is some dude who keeps inheriting the ability to channel Ganon's power, much like Zelda is a girl who keeps inheriting the ability to summon Light Arrows, and Link keeps inheriting the inability to speak.
Zelda's power comes from the goddess Hylia, Link's is generally from Farore, Din, and Nayru, and Ganondorf's is from Ganon. The inheritance comes from being intrinsically linked with the Triforce.
@@austinknight5881 you are incorrect. Ganon is Ganondorf's beast form that was granted by the triforce of power, but Ganondorf was the original form. Ganondorf's reincarnations are fueled by Demise's curse on the hero and the descendent of the goddess from Skyward Sword. Beast Ganon does not show up until OoT at which point the timeline splits and every (game release) prior form of Ganon is the same beast from OoT. The games chronology does not match the release order.

It might seem insane that dracula was in a skateboarding game...but that was the same game where you fought a tank so I feel like he's the most grounded thing in it

How in the heck does a skateboarder destroy Dracula, the same Dracula that gave the Van Helsing bloodline a run for their money, armed with nothing but an actual skateboard? *Sigh* But again Sephiroth!!
I really appreciate that when Ganon wandered off into Animal Crossing, it wad THAT Ganon. After years of way too much Gdorf, peppered with the occasional transformation into some vaguely pig-themed thing, seeing something reminiscent of the original pig sorcerer, ala the original game, and Link to the Past makes the old person who grew up with Zelda when thecNES titles were the only Zelda titles that I am very happy.
The best part about Ganon in ACNL is that you can give him the Triforce, assuming you bought it

Regarding Sephiroth, even horrible, unforgivable, utterly despicable, one-man world-ending cataclysms that are the hellspawn of extra-terrestrial Eldrich horrors need a breather once in a while to break out the dance moves and just chill...
There was also that time Pyramid Head competed in the Olympics (New International Track & Field).
A few years ago, me and my brother had a interesting discussion about what video game villains do when they are not being villainous. I can't remember what we decided in the end.
Wreck-It-Ralph answered that question. They attend villain meetings.
