Definitely underrated. I loved the little moment while this played when I picked “Don’t Catch” so Kieran could get his shot but then… “It can’t be me. I can’t capture it. It has to be you.”
When I did this fight, Ogerpon did most of the damage to Terapagos (I put her on my team specifically for the Kieran fight and this part of the game) but Kieran's Dragonite landed the final hit, which felt like the perfect conclusion to the DLC
Kieran's Hydrapple fainted when I was playing, so he tried to finish off Terapagos with E-Speed with his Dragonite only to leave it on like 1HP or something, so I finished it off instead. Another thing taken from Kieran by the MC 💀
It was the opposite for me, my iron valiant left it on a sliver of HP and Kieran finished it with a thunder from Dragonite. Normally it frustrates me when that sort of thing happens, but Kieran definitely deserved the final blow.
Had a similar thing happen. Had my Baxcalibur, the only Pokémon I had left, use Glaive Rush hoping it’d be the final blow. It didn’t and I knew from what it had done that a second wouldn’t be enough either, and then Kieran’s Dragonite put it in range for me. Considering the dialogue that followed, it felt like he wanted me to be the one to deal the final hit.
It was stupid. I didn’t know going into it that after beating Kieran it would immediately go into stage 2. I was just swapping my Pokémon around to stop stuff from dying so I could get exp from the first part, then when stage two commenced most of my team was half health and I couldn’t switch into them without having them die instantly. When I went into it he second time I hadn’t planned out how I’d have to set up my lead so I started with the wrong Pokémon and my most important Pokémon on half health. 3rd time I actually got Meowstic in slot 1 so that I could set up light screen, at which point it was completely doable. The type changes and how the type of starshower worked made zero sense though.
I have to thank my friend who told me to put Miraidon on my team for the final battle. Starting this battle with Ogerpon and finishing it with the same Tera Dragon Miraidon that helped me beat the base game was incredibly satisfying.
I specifically used my Ride Miraidon, along with the team i used for my Paldea journey (minus the Dugtrio), just to tie up the story, and i have to say, having Miraidon, who went from scared and timid, to taking down Terapagos, being with me every step of this game (literally) kinda made this ending a lot more beautiful. It felt like a proper finale.
“Though he did indeed use a Master Ball, that boy Kieran is unworthy of my power. You, on the other hand, may well be worthy. Show me, then…Show me the strength of a true Master!”
This was truly a beautiful fight- me and my Meloetta getting knocked out at the last turn and Kieran landing the final hit on Terapagos’s last sliver of HP, Kieran taking the last of his vengeance with the final blow. Truly beautiful
The name of the Stellar type was in our faces the whole time: Crystal > Japan romanizes L and R the same, Crystar > remove first half, Star, > word for "of stars" is the type Bonus: Stellar > an inspired name, Stella > again romanization, Sterra > Remove extra letters, Tera Therefore, Terastalization is short for not just Chrystalization or even Tera(stellar/star)ization, but CrystalStarization. It's both Crystals and stellar. The preceding is almost a theory, but the following is only a hypothesis for certain... as of this moment. "Crystal" has evident connections to Gen 2, with it being the name of a game, and said game's mascot getting a Paradox counterpart revealed before the other members of their trio. However, "stellar" has an arguable connection to Gen 5 as well. While not having Paradox versions (yet!), the games and their sequels' mascots split from a single fused Pokémon... which supposedly came to the planet via a meteor, an object "of the stars" if you may.
Also, I love how phase 1 starts with SNES Rainbow Road in synth form... Because Terapagos is a living prism (yes IK about Necrozma) and light/stellar energy through prisms makes rainbows.
3:30 it was just like that time we were cheering for Koraidon/Miraidon when their Pokeball is the only and best chance that could help the group also the glance it gave Kieran when he got shielded from the tera blast considering this mirror man... 🥹🥲🥹🥲🥹🥲
@@timothywalker4621That's not necessarily a bad thing. Super Smash Bros. has been making all of its "original" themes just a remix of its main theme and most of those barely sound any different. This one, meanwhile, makes each part sound completely different.
I can't even lie, this generation was the Biggest step in Pokèmon History Since Generation 6. It Completely Revamped the Pokèmon Formula, and made it open world! They composed the music brilliantly, and this theme even beats that of Ultra Necrozma, Great Job, Gamefreak and Nintendo!
The only issues are the pokemon cut again, plus the insane performance issues and glitches at release. If those weren't a thing, this could've been the best gen yet.
man if they just fixed the performance/graphics and animations alongside giving us more old mons back this would've been the best Pokémon game in a long time
I would say performance is the biggest issue plaguing the game, I know people would like national dex back, but I’d like to point out that that is now over 1000 unique creatures. Plus even if they did have the full dex, most of them probably wouldn’t be available in game without transferring them in, as I don’t believe games like Gen 7 really accounted for how you would get national dex other than owning previous games. So essentially Gamefreak would be adding 1000 Pokémon, plus all the new ones, with the majority of them only being available to people who owned them previously. I’d rather they focus on making each region and game good in its own right, with a good story and good gameplay. Plus if we did have national dex, it would make it that much more tempting to just use the same Pokémon over again each game.
me when people complain that they dont have all pokemons even tho theyll just use their sinnoh team for the 5th time in a row, in any case I always believed that Gen 9 is one of the better pokemon games... im glad people are finally starting to realize it once the dust of the release settled, unfortunately, its a good game, made badly, even if I love it... the fps man.. it starts to annoy you too much man...

I remember when I first fought against that Stellar form-- a quite the awesome build-up, and scenery it was to it!!! A spectacular fight for sure, as I lost against it at first. But then, as I learned how the Stellar typing works, I came up with a strategy but it goofed up a bit with the held items and other moves, but anyway: I made my Garganacl named Perry to use it's Salt Cure to give firstly the turn-after damage, and terastalized my starter Quaquaval, Jonathan, to turn that thing into a Water-type for that residual damage! After that, it was a rather stall-fest after that, even though I could've ended the battle a bit earlier because some other team members had super effective moves against the Stellar Form Terapagos... propably because the way the earlier battle went, I wanted the Terapagos to be one toyed a bit, before I yeeted my Beast Ball at it >:3!

I loved this fight from beginning to end. Having my iron leaves deal the final blow with leaf blade felt amazing
7:00 is the best part
Definitely underrated. I loved the little moment while this played when I picked “Don’t Catch” so Kieran could get his shot but then…
“It can’t be me. I can’t capture it. It has to be you.”
@@darklordliam thx for telling me i didnt know that
When I did this fight, Ogerpon did most of the damage to Terapagos (I put her on my team specifically for the Kieran fight and this part of the game) but Kieran's Dragonite landed the final hit, which felt like the perfect conclusion to the DLC
I didn't even know he had more than Hydrapple for that fight.
Considering the dialogue that followed, it felt like he wanted me to be the one to deal the final hit.
me and Kieran straight up VIBING to this together ngl.
Istg I see you everywhere lmao
@@TheRealMaruki muahahahaha
This was the HARDEST part of any pokemon game. This battle right here.
Landing the final blow with my Meowscarada felt so amazing
Same
Same. It was right as Kieran was using Hydrapple. I imagined us using Flower Trick and Syrup Bomb at the same time, and it was 1'000 times more epic.
I felt this theme in my soul as Terapagos tore me a new one
Especially at 0:48, hot damn
Briar and Kieran while me and Carmine fight a literal crystal god: 🧍♀️🧍♂️
Briar doesn’t have any pokemon on her so it isn’t her fault there.
"This really is the hidden treasure of Area Zero" ✍️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Briar then immediately after goes “okay cut to credits guys”
god every single time that intro hits I get goosebumps
Just beat this and oh my god how I lost my mind lol
The name of the Stellar type was in our faces the whole time: Crystal > Japan romanizes L and R the same, Crystar > remove first half, Star, > word for "of stars" is the type
Bonus: Stellar > an inspired name, Stella > again romanization, Sterra > Remove extra letters, Tera
Therefore, Terastalization is short for not just Chrystalization or even Tera(stellar/star)ization, but CrystalStarization.
I finished the fight with Blastoise,it was epic cause I hatched it as a squirtle and it came far and grew into a mighty boy💪.
3:30 it was just like that time we were cheering for Koraidon/Miraidon when their Pokeball is the only and best chance that could help the group
also the glance it gave Kieran when he got shielded from the tera blast considering this mirror
man... 🥹🥲🥹🥲🥹🥲
The beginning feels like a Touhou song. *sees Toby Fox in the credits* Oh...
Its just a jumbled remix of other pokemon sv songs... that Toby worked on
@@timothywalker4621That's not necessarily a bad thing. Super Smash Bros. has been making all of its "original" themes just a remix of its main theme and most of those barely sound any different. This one, meanwhile, makes each part sound completely different.
My favorite Pokemon!!
ブックに描かれてた幻のパラドックスがテラレイドバトルで降誕したら絶対流れそう
それくらいかっこ良すぎる
This theme goes incredibly hard for a Pokémon who had a relevance as small as its actual size
7:03 I love this beat as well as 3:30 it is soo good!
Despite the game running like it was on Windows 95, the game really was fun.
man if they just fixed the performance/graphics and animations alongside giving us more old mons back this would've been the best Pokémon game in a long time
I would say performance is the biggest issue plaguing the game, I know people would like national dex back, but I’d like to point out that that is now over 1000 unique creatures.
I know I'm not imagining things, you can hear parts of the Omega Flowey finale music AND Battle Against A True Hero in this track! Which makes sense considering Toby Fox worked on the soundtrack!
The melody also sounds alot like hopes and dreams, toby never misses a beat🎶.
@@duce.2805 Yeah!! That's the other song I was thinking of but couldn't remember the name of!
0:55 yep I hear Finale for a few seconds
I know the choir is just random synthetized stuff but for some reason I have the feeling that it says "paradox" somewhere
0:00 ~ Terapagos is starting the Battle, the player and Carmine throw a Pokémon
3:26 ~ Terapagos absorbs terastal energy the 2nd time
3:54 ~ Kieran joins the Battle with the player
4:18 ~ Terapagos is starting the 3rd Phase Battle
And it bleeping breaks a master ball! I've heard that about my favorite Pokemon.
7:01 Terapagos is defeated, and now you can catch it.
Maybe the real Hidden Treasure of Area Zero was the friends we made along the way
- Briar
music that plays when you try to defend briar from the fandom (I am losing)
There one more Composer you didn't add Rei Murayama from Super Music Collection.
Ahh yes... Puyo music in my pokemon game.
its werid that nintendo only took down like two themes from this dlc
i think that VGMR took them down themselves because the event to activate that stuff hasn't happened yet
@@cattenchaostherandomperson no it was nintendo
Hi, can you please put timestamps for the segments/phases?
I can't believe no one has mentioned that they put in part of the Tera Raid battle theme😂
Although on the other hand it is kind of obvious.
Actually it's part of both tera raid battle, and the music from battling the ai professor in a sense!
This sounds like it was ripped straight out of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. Befitting for an entity that is probably on the level of Palkia and Dialga.
He still dont got shyt on UltrA Necrozma tho
lets be real toby kinda saved this game
idk koraidon acting like a goober and every other character being great played a big role
however if area zero DIDNT sound like that, id be devastated. we live in the good timeline
idk if it’s just me, but in one part it sounds like it shifts to a 9/4 time signature from a 4/4 one
Wacky time signatures to convey otherworldliness my beloved

Honestly givese Zelda vibes
Wait, yall struggled with this guy?
it’s definitely coincidental, but shoutouts to how 1:51-2:18 sounds like the Touhou Puppet Dance Performance soundfont
One look at who composed this and you know it's most likely NOT coincidental

pretty sure this wasn’t his doing, but he’s partially responsible for the underdepths which was a banger
Incorrect song. Two parts are missing
I only had one of my Pokemon go down, which was delayed by Carmine having Sinistcha use Follow Me a lot of the time.
Not helpful at all once it starts spamming Tera star storm though lmao
