- Continuing from Donate A Bike, Save A Job in 2020, the "Bike for Livelihood" is a new project in partnership with Manny V. Pangilinan and the MVP Group of Companies.
Through the donation of 500 bikes, helmets and vests, as well as 100 Smart phone retailer kits and 100 Smart pocket wifis, the hope is to provide many livelihood opportunities for those affected by the pandemic and to give them tools to thrive in the new normal.
Starting off with Meralco's hometown Pasig City, "Bike For Livelihood" will also reach other cities like Manila, San Juan, Malabon, Quezon City, Caloocan and Batangas.
The vision of the project is to go beyond just donating bikes, but to be able to promote active and sustainable transport in the country by creating content around the biking culture and advocacy.
By telling these stories, we also get to support the creation of more bike infrastructure and implementation of policies that enable our fellow Filipinos to "Bike for Livelihood".

This vlog makes me think of how privileged we are here in the probinsya to ride bikes safely even without bike lanes, because vehicles are few and far between, but thank you Gretchen for spreading awareness regarding the bicycle safety concerns in Metro Manila. Hope other cities will soon, or have started to, emulate Pasig's efforts to make their city bicycle friendly. Ingat po, mga bagong kapadyak! Kudos, WIA team! Great vlog!

What can I say? Honestly, your advocacy is so worthy of getting whole support from the entire Filipino populace . Biking isn't only nature-friendly but also earth-friendly considering that our planet is suffering from air pollution due burned petroleum. Biking is healthy and a good solution to lowering the amount of air pollutants to make our planet really "green" and full of fresh air to breathe. Pasig is a good place for biking and really supports building a biking community.

Nice Gretch, great job here. I would suggest to collab with top Bike vloggers such as Ian How, Angelo Bikerdude, Aira Lopez, Ger Victor to name a few for a fun ride. Marami kasi sila following they can help raise awareness. Do EDSA Loop, check out bike lane along EDSA. From Monumento to MOA and back, to raise awareness on how the bike lane in EDSA is. Malaki na improvement ng bike lane sa EDSA pero could still do some work. Challenge lang is yung Magallanes area, either to take the flyover (dangerous and not advisable) or sa ilalim, pass through Magallanes park, so may konti walking and buhat bike sa overpass to get across. Pero with planning and support im sure magagawan ng paraan. Thanks and more power, ride safe.

Hi Ms. Gretchen, as seen on your video and my experience as a biker here in Taguig, hindi passable lahat ng bike lane. First yung intended for bike lane kalimitan pinaparkingan o nasasakop ng illegal parking n wala nmn sumisita, second yung bike lane nilalakaran ng mga tao either yung banketa n intended for them e may nkapark o kya may nakalagay n bike parking rack. Sana pinag-aralan ng goverment yan, yung bike parking sana hindi nilalagay s sidewalk n daanan ng mga tao. Kita nmn po s video n ngbike kau s labas ng bike lane kc may nkapark t may mga nglalakad n tao. Aside s bike ngmo-motor din po kme. Nkakainis makakita ng walang disiplina n bikers n khit may bike lane n e s labas p rin ng bike lane dumadaan. Minsan bigla n lng susulpot kc nagmamadali sila at may nsa unahan nla n hindi nla ma-overtakean. N kpag nasagi mo ikaw p ang masama khit kasalanan nla n biglan sulpot at alis s lane nla.
