- Geely is a new car brand that arrived in the Philippines in 2019. Having bought Volvo in 2010, Geely marries Swedish Tech with the power of Chinese Manufacturing.
As one of their first endorsers in the Philippines, I've been very happy with its performance (I've had the car for a year now), but to get a more balanced outlook, I let a car expert, Archie of Second Skin Industries, ride with me in my Geely Azkarra to tell me about his honest feedback on the car.
First, we had my car wrapped and ready for travel inside Second Skin, and then we went on a daytrip to Bataan to check out its performance! We also visited the Geely showroom to ask our friends some hard questions about after-sales service and more.

I love how much of the interior is shown.
Might not be as technical as other reviews but this is one of the most I apprecite in watching..

Kung gusto mo mlaman kung mahina o sirain ang isang sasakyan lalot bago pa sa market pumunta ka o mag member ka sa private group nila dun mo mlalaman so far sa Geely ok nman kahit medyo mlalayo layo n ang odo ...

Hi miss gretchen..nung nag switch kayo ng drive modes hindi ninyo siguro napindot ang gitna.kasi nakita ko when you switch to off road mode hindi nag change ng kulay ang instrument panel. dapat when you switch a drive mode dapat pindutin ang gitna para mag activate sya..dapat twist to select a drive mode then pindot sa gitna para mag activate ang mode na pinili mo.
magnda ba ang geely? o maporma lang pero ung makina is 3 cylinder lang. buti pa ung honda brio na 4 cylinder. kung makina ang pag uusapan okay nba ang 3 cylinder sa price na 1m?

For our security and safety talaga, mas maganda yung pinapatingin talaga natin yung condition ng car natin sa mga mas mai nakakaalam nito. Just like sa mga car shop or car users. Kaya mabuti talaga yung ginawa mo ate gretchen na ipina review mo yung car mo sa mga may alam sa mga cars

here in saudi arabia. since women now are alowed to drive. i have seen most of them use geely as their first car. it received a lot of postive reviews here.

hi ms. gretch. like you am fascinated driving a car with sun/moonroof and though this review is more than a year old, this all the more convinced me to try Geely Azkarra (i currently drive montero and xpander), what with its other latest techy features such as the 360-degree camera and auto-parking. i hope to procure mine at Geely Naga (after my early retirement by year-end this year) which is barely a 1.5-hour drive from Legazpi City so somehow i won't be worrying much with the maintenance/after-sales support. i just wonder how much the latest 2022 model costs. hope it sn't far off from the P1.5M you paid for your 2021 model .

Geely acquired Volvo back in 2010 so besides porma it's really amazing as a vehicle. The car expert is awesome with explaining and very interesting talaga Chinese vehicles now (MG as an example as well). I wonder if Geely is going to venture into EV soon!

I still use the Geely! Almost everyday, and okay naman siya! Wala pa akong pinapaayos na kahit ano. It runs smoothly also. Malakas lang sa gas. Pero dahil medyo mas mahal diesel ngayon, it feels about the same as my diesel car.

7.2Km/L? Not so good. Parang Prado/FJ Cruiser V6 gasoline ang fuel consumption. But those two are full size SUVs with 4 wheel drive systems and way heavier. I just hope significantly better pag naka eco/normal mode.
@Clint I saw that when they switched to ECO mode, it went up to 7.3Km/L only :(
@@29Apocalypes I have an everest 2017 model with 2.2 tdci engine 160hp.
But with geely azkarra 7.2km/l highway? Ganyan consumption ko kapag city driving na traffic.
Highway driving for me is around 11-13km/l ( manila to tuguegarao 500km yon).
