I haven't had any fun lately, 😭 so it was fun. You bring me joy!❤🙂
I’m so glad to hear that you enjoyed it!! I hope you have some fun soon! ✨🙌
Hi, I’m a Japanese living in NZ for 26 yrs.
About a year ago, I started watching CZcams vids in Japanese to prevent my Japanese from deteriorating any further, and soon I found many foreign born CZcamsrs based in JPN and speaking in Japanese. I’ve also found to my dismay that some of them speak too fluently/fast for me to catch what they are saying, and have to resort to subtitles for crisis sake!
So, I really appreciate the slow speed with which you speak, which I also find easy to my ears and relaxing. Actually, your way of talking is reminiscent of another CZcamsr, Anna Mitzel. It would be great if you 2 collaborate. A vid which usually takes 20 min might take 30 min.😜
Thank you so much for this thoughtful comment ✨ I also struggle to understand fast Japanese, and am grateful that my host family speaks to me more slowly and clearly. At this point I can understand what they say to me but often can’t understand what they say to each other 😂 Best wishes to you 🌸🙌
@@itskendallrose : _ Yes, that’s the hardest part. When you can understand what strangers sitting next to you on the train are saying to each other, it means your Japanese is at a native speaker level … well as far as listening comprehension skill is concerned. Oh, but dialects are a different story even when you’re spoken to.
I can tell you made the original draft in English and then translated it to Japanese, for which I wouldn't blame you.
@12:48 _ Yes, in English, “technically” is synonymous with “legally”, but in Japanese they are not, not at all actually. In Japanese “technically” is, as you said, “gijutsu-tekini”, and “legally” is “hōritsu-tekini/hōritsu-jou”.
BTW, prostitution was legalized in NZ in 2003.
Well, I hope you kindly let me feel superior in Japanese while I can. In the future, your Japanese may well be better than mine. I already have so much difficulty in handwriting kanji.
Ganbatte ne! Kia Ora from NZ
@@jimtakahashi4638 thank you for the tips! I definitely did make the first draft in English and then translate it. I had to, because I wanted to use some words that I didn’t know (such as “technically” and “legally”). Now that I think about it, I usually think in English first and then translate it, unless I’m writing/saying something in class, because in class we use only use words/grammars that we already know.
Maybe one day I’ll be able to understand strangers’ conversations 😂 But not today 😂😂
とても可愛いらしい声の持ち主と日本語ですね☺️
ありがとございます!私のビデオを見てくれてありがとうございます☺️✨🙌
OMG great talking in japanesss 😩❤ again kokoichibana haha Im gonna go Tokyo in 3weeks and i decided to go maid cafe so exited 🎉
Thank you! I practiced a lot before this video haha. Have fun in Tokyo!! I recommend Shibuya Sky…. And Coco Ichibana ✨
Your Japanese is really good! The one thing I regret was not doing abroad in another country when I was a student. I hope you get a lot out of yours :)
Thank you, I appreciate it! I’m really grateful to be able to have this experience. Best wishes to you ✨🙌
Greetings from California! I just found your channel and really enjoy your content and style. I'm so impressed with how well you know yourself and what you want out of life (much more than myself, and I've lived a lot longer than you have)! I have visited Japan with my wife and son several times (all before COVID) and we hope to visit again soon!
May I ask you how you felt during your trip to Tokyo as a young female traveling solo (in terms of feeling safe or uncomfortable)? We have a family friend (female) who is around your age that will be traveling solo next month to Tokyo/Yokohama.
Best wishes on your journey!
What a kind and thoughtful comment! I really appreciate it. I feel safe traveling alone in Japan. In Japan people generally keep to themselves and don’t talk to strangers, so no one gives me any trouble. The only exception was when I went to Kabukicho at night and a couple men tried to start conversations with me. I felt a little uncomfortable but didn’t feel unsafe because it was a busy area and I just left. Going out alone at night may not be the best idea, but other than that I’ve always felt like it’s a really safe country! ✨ Good luck to your friend, and hopefully you can visit again soon too!
優しくゆったりした口調で、歌舞伎町のきわどい説明をしてくださるギャップが素敵でしたww Your Japanese is almost perfect!!
ありがとうございます!オーディオを録音する前に、たくさん練習しました😅😅
OMG this is perfect for me to practice some japanese listening!!!! Thank you!! :D
Aw I’m glad! Thank you for watching! ☺️ How long have you been learning?
@@itskendallrose I'm learning for about a year now, but not full-time :) Only once a week in a course. But -I'm motivated! :D And in autumn I will travel to Japan for the first time in my life
@@mickycahn ooooh that’s awesome! Staying motivated while studying a language is tough; kudos to you! Where do you want to go in Japan?

Thanks for watching! This video took longer to make than any of my others, so I appreciate it! ✨🙌
While I do not speak Japanese I can understand one thing and that's Japanese curry is the best by far and thus see where you are coming from
It really is! I’m obsessed with coco ichibana and I just went there for the fourth day in a row and ate the same exact thing each time 😂 I am very happy, but I should probably stop spending so much money on curry 😂
ケンダルさんの動画、今夜初めて見ました、凄く綺麗な人でビックリしました。チャンネル登録したのでこれからも見させていただきます、とっても楽しみです。

My trip to Tokyo is six months away. I should really start studying more or else I'm going to be awkwardly relying on my phone the entire trip.
Oooh how exciting that you’re going to Tokyo soon! I relate… I try to use what I’ve learned as much as possible, but I often use google translate when I don’t know something! How long have you been studying Japanese?
@@itskendallrose Only three months, self-taught, very unsystematic. If I can handle basic interactions in shops, restaurants and hotels then I'll be happy. It seems that there are many places in Tokyo that use English for signs/instructions, so that makes me feel less daunted.
@@Epilus that’s awesome that you’re teaching yourself! There’s definitely some English signs in Tokyo, and the restaurant I went to even had an English menu option. Good luck to you!
hey just stumbled upon ur channel, how about did you learn Japanese? Im currently using Duolingo but I feel like it isn't the best. Any advice to learn or how i should study. Would love to see a video on your journey on how you learned japanese.
Thank you for reaching out! Maybe I will make a video on it… 🤔
Learning a language on your own is a huge challenge! I’ve had the privelege to be able to study it intensively in a college class (3 semesters of 5 hrs/week classes + homework in reading, writing, kanji, speaking, and listening). Now I’m studying for a 4th semester in Japan. Having a class to keep me on schedule and people to speak with has made all the difference throughout these 4 semesters. If you’re not in a class, maybe there’s a course or group you can join online? When I’m not in class (like on summer break), it’s a lot harder for me to stay disciplined to study, but lately I’ve been trying to translate things in my mind even when I’m not in class, which has been really helpful. Anyway, kudos for you for trying to learn this super challenging language, and good luck!! ☺️✨🙌
@@itskendallrose : _ Yes, it’s the key to success for just about everything, I think. Actually, it’s more so for language acquisition, especially when you’re learning a new language in an environment where you always speak your mother tongue, which acts like gravity to pull you down.
@@jimtakahashi4638 I agree! Living with my host family forces me to speak Japanese a lot, which has helped me tremendously!
How long did you study Japanese? Your Japanese is awesome! ☺️
Thank you so much! ☺️ I’ve been studying Japanese as a university class since September 2021 (so this is my 4th semester). I was lucky enough that my university had a really good Japanese program! I’ve been in Japan since January which has really helped.☺️🫶

Prostitution is prohibited in Japan.
That’s true! But it seems like there are a lot of loopholes. That’s why I think it’s interesting 🤔
