Excellent news!! I have been waiting for some one to rebuild a 800 sportsman twin . I made the mistake of buying one that was a total rebuild from the two seater to a side by side 🤦♂️ sure it looked fantastic but it had hidden problems that wasn’t apparent to me, plus I was not really experienced with a Polaris side by side non the lest I have persevered in fixing it, first off put in power steering box and full steering column and rack and pinion front end , new front axles, inspected transmission and replaced gear exchange module. Installed new plugs and cleaned fuel injection system put new pump and filter in tank , also installed the tank closer to engine instead of previous location in front of the vehicle where the radiator! Since then I have reinstalled the radiator to the front instead of over our head ! 😮 oh discovered the radiator was blown and explained the overheating issue I had ! So I will be quite happy to finally get some great information about this beast even if it doesn’t look like yours anymore. If possible pm me please, I have so many questions and no one wants to give me the time or help because of it is no longer the bike it was.. 😖👍 I had bought it for my special needs son so we could ride together and it has been a long time and very little progress! 😢 keep up the great videos man, from a very happy follower of yours ! 😊👏😉🙏
I have a 2005 800 transmission that you can have for free. however it’s locked up. Maybe you could use some parts off of it. If you cover shipping cost then you can have it. Just throwing it out there.
Sweet. Thank you. I would totally take you up on your offer. It turned out it wasn't the transmission. The splines on the axle shaft were burned up. I just need to replace the axle shaft and I should be good to go. If I need that tranny...I'll contact you.
