Also the symbols on the rings don't change depending ding on the person using them. Eachanturn corps has there own power rings and their own symbols.
I think this could be done for a flash series finale arc personally. Set it up for the back half of the season and the finale would be to wrap Barry’s story. Saying that imagine if this was the first seven episodes of the final season, and the rest was the fallout leading to the last ever episode.
Would love to see Ollie back, and the characters I would bring back from the dead would be captain cold, maybe stein and Ronnie (firestorm v1) and to truly fuck with Barry his mum and dad.
Possessed characters where good choices but to go for another Left 4 death reference either ones of the black carnies to fulfill a “witch” like character.
So basically it would be like how Crisis affected the entire final season of Arrow?

It would be expensive but they could do all kinds of cool stuff with the lanterns. So putting all money aside they could have this be the actual moment Diggle puts on the green ring they could have it where he puts it on in the event, but I would rather have it as the cliffhanger for the first episode. And like the first episode they are seeing all these zombies and then diggle shows up with the ring and explains darkest night has arrived. And idk maybe have each of the main heroes take up a ring to defeat the darkest night.
We actually have an episode in season 2 of legends where the Atom suit gets stolen and used against the legends and later in the season we have the episode in Rip's mind where they try to restore him to being good and we have an Evil atom there too.. but i agree it would be neat to see more of him actually using his powers especially considering Ray is such a positive person..
Also if they are able to use Batman i would bring back Kevin Conroy and give him some more screentime, we know from the small piece in Crisis what he'd look like as an Evil version.. but taking that to the next step and with Kevin Conroy goin all out.. that be neat.
And if they can't use Wally.. what about the 80's flash that would be interesting to see too and bring a whole new layer to John Wesley Shipp's performance as barry.

2: Johnathan (from superman man and Lois Lois and clark son)
3: Malcom (arrow/dc legends of tomorrow the archer)

Batwoman would be perfect to tie into this story especially considering the way the show ended. The zombies in Gotham! And also bringing in the Legends they could potentially use this story to wrap up these canceled shows. But I doubt they will go that far. 😔

This can be awesome and the only crossover that would be better could be Dark Knights Metal. I think the only problem can be if Injustice 3 (which is the main rumor) is going with the same story and they don’t want to do multiple versions of the story but since we are apparently getting a three part animated Crisis movie that might not matter.
Dark Knights Metal would be amazing but IT would be awesome as hbo max or Superman & Lois level of production.

With Diggle still trying to figure out how tho open the ring, I really wouldn't discount Blackest Night being used as a massive finale/relaunch event for the Arrowverse in a form of rebirth later.
I could very easily see that being the big moment where Diggle finally fully comes into his own as a GL, much like how it was a massive event that made Oliver become the Specter.
They should bring in more dc characters like booster gold and green lanterns !

Blackest night crossover story for the arrowverse would be tons of fun.
My choice would be from Arrow season 2, Cyrus Gold.
If they did do the Blackest Night storyline, they could make it so the people revived by the Lazarus Pit are immune to being zombified/possessed.
You say Batwoman "hasn't met the group" but it's confirmed through the Earth Prime comics that Kate told Kara that Ryan is the new Batwoman and Kara has told more people (via Lena).
if they ever adapt Blackest Night, A GREEN LANTERN STORY, without the green lanterns, i WILL drop everything CW. I have been a fan for 8 years, i watched every episode of every Arrowverse show. I have endured all the Green Lantern hints that led us nowhere, foolishly hoping it would EVENTUALLY lead somewhere. Blackest Night is my all time favourite comic book storyline and having the Green Lanterns there is the literal basics. I don't care if they don't adapt it, i still care about these shows to a certain extent (and i defended them time and time again), BUT if they DO adapt it, without the Green Lanterns, the Green Lantern lore, the emotional spectrum and the rings, the guardians, the oaths and whatnot, i will stop being a fan, instantaneously and for good. Us Green Lantern fans have been time and time again shunned and ignored by DC and this would be the last nail in the coffin. I can't even imagine what this story would be without Green Lantern. Simple as that, there is no Blackest Night without Green Lantern. No amount of cameos, extra characters, appearances, WHATEVER will soothe the anger. If They Don't Use Green Lantern I'm DONE.
I really like this set of ideas that have been mentioned, and I like the guesses of what might get put into the works someday.
Since the roster of Arrowverse shows has become so thin does anyone else think they should change how they do crossovers when they can do them again? Like instead of putting the crossovers in ongoing seasons maybe they should do multi-part specials or even movies between seasons. I feel like that would be easier to keep up with too
This would be a great way to see Diggle finally accept his ring and save them all with the green lantern light. Plus we've seen a green lantern in Stargirl so they could use similar graphics for the rest. Plus Barry with a blue ring and suit and lightning would be awesome

As someone who read and collected almost every issue (missed an issue ot the Aquaman tie in series) of Blackest Night I can tell you exactly the direction The Flash should take and it's not unlike what Stargirl did with Eclipso but you bring back The Specter he's now the avatar of Nekron basically it's a race to stop The Specter AKA Oliver Queen from bringing Nekron into this dimension. But that doesn't mean Nekron can't have influence through The Specter's actions.
The only person that I’d say would I’d put on arrows side is Ra’s al gual … because that means he can have a zombie league of assassins behind him in addition to the “super zombie” crew Ra’s could be basically like the general and Johnny Constintine could be the captain with arrow being the final boss and slade being like a enforcer

I would love to see the Black Lantern Corps zombie variants with the following characters: Gorilla Grodd, Martian Manhunter, Eloganted Man with a new actor for that role, Sue Dibney, Hawkman & Hawkgirl, Black Canary, Green Arrow, Impulse, Superman , Gorilla Grodd, Captain Boomerang, Reverse Flash, the Black Lantern Corps with Black Hand and Nekron. The White Lanterns would be great too, of course, and finally seeing John Diggle as the Green Lantern would be really great! 🖤

I was thinking that if they could initiate at the very least blackest night, have Caitlin be the one to do it since they did name drop blackest night in the deathstorm arc, and with her current situation it could take her down an even more desperate route... but since my knowledge of anything comic related extends really to film, tv and honestly youtube, I'm not sure how it could be done exactly other than the fact they did kinda lay the ground work with Caitlin and death 🤷♂️

I think it would serve them better if they do it after justice u is potentially introduced and after the flash ends and then have the newer characters fighting the old dead characters and use the crossover as a way to cement them as legit heroes

They could always do the DC the zombie story line that would involve everyone especially Superman and could easily be written as a multiversal threat making it big while keeping it contained the arrowverse main Earth
You know, you say it wouldn't be Barry to be "zombified" or what have you, but why not? Maybe that's the catalyst. Barry Allen dies, and Oliver, as the Spectre, tries to bring him back and it goes horribly wrong. Barry accidentally gets turned into like this avatar for Necron, drawing out the life of people.
Thawne would be fighting alongside the heroes, because he's one of the few people who can match Barry's speed; and besides, he's always fighting Barry, and Barry turns dark, Thawne's going to fight on the good side - but only so far as it's in his best interest to stay alive. I think him being confronted with the remain/reanimated/corpsidfied body of the original Harrison Wells. I know they did.... _something_ with all the Wellses what was it, early last season, but I'm sure they could do something with that between original Wells and Thawne.
I think Sara Lance would be another focal point in this story; first because of the fact she's died many times now, plus the fact that the latest iteration is a clone of the original. I'm afraid I haven't kept up on too many of the details with Legions, other some of the broader strokes; so maybe this was addressed already or might conflict with something - but Sara could be confronted by the - lets call them reanimated bodies, rather than zombies - reanimated original body of Sara; who angry of a ) having been killed, b )having been replaced with a clone, even if albeit it has her memories, and c ) Ava married the clone and had a kid - all the things original Sara would wanted and was denied by being dead and all.
Bring the original Laurel back and confront her doppleganger.
I like the idea of bringing Snart back and turning Ray. There could be some interesting story potential there, given Ray's father in-law is Damien Darhk, who's also dead; so there could be some meaty stuff for Nora Darhk.
In the end though, I do think someone needs to sacrifice themselves in an irrevocable way, and there would probably need to be a handful of characters that who stay dead, while the vast majority are brought back; and have some very clear and specific and logical reasons why. That way there are stakes and consequences, but also a happy ending. Some of the dead (people who were dead before the story started) could be brought back. Maybe Clone-Sara sacrifices herself, because of her regenerative powers, and brings the original Sara back to life (again). The Laurels could be combined.
I think Barry would have sacrifice himself though, to make the restoration of everyone else sustainable; and because you could justify Oliver royally screwing up by setting this in motion, only to have him get his original intended result and no lasting consequences.

I wouldn’t mind seeing some of the cancelled spinoff characters coming back on the hero side to give them a second chance with audiences, such as painkiller or Mia smoke and will but they have to find Will first I guess. I also think there’s enough beloved characters on each show have died that each show could start experiencing zombies on their own before coming together.

Now that you mention wally, I really wany Wally to take over the manyle of The Flash at the end of the season. It seems like a cw thing to do, considering they tried to make an arrow spinoff when Oliver died, they could make a kid flash spin off. Doubt it would be very good though, considering the cw.
Imagine Oliver initially goes on a killing spree and Team Flash are finding green arrows in innocent people trying to figure out who is tainting Oliver’s legacy and then when Barry finally comes across the suspect he runs behind him, same distance Barry was when he figured out who Savitar was, then he shouts “who are you!” and then they start the camera from the suspects feet and slowly go up while he slowly turns around to look at Barry and when the camera gets to the suspects head he is wearing the og hood and he slowly pulls the hood down while slowly looking up at Barry to reveal that he is Oliver Queen, ending that episode right there.

Dark knight metel should be the next crossover event next season like Armageddon did this season. We can have red death be the main villan for the crossover.

John diggle could be the arrowverse green lantern In the crossover.
I wouldn't add any of the alternative takes on the other heros like the comic event did but maybe have zombies be red deaths army.
The blackest night could be the crossover event for the beginning of the flash season 10.
Stargirl could be in the dark knight metel crossover and join the fight since red death comes from the dark multiverse but they can change it for the arrowverse and make him from a dead earth that was destroyed in crisis.
Red death Could be faster then Barry and have the power to control the dead zombies basically.
Ryan choe Could become the atom officialy in the crossover with the costume in the timeline .
With Batwoman, you have two ladies that wore the mantle in the arrow verse have one on both sides

Let’s agree to disagree on terms of “there CAN be a Blackest Night without the lanterns or rings.” The Blackest Night and Brightest Day story line REQUIRE the lanterns because that is what makes that story what it is.
Exactly. That's what the Blackest Night is- the appearance of the Black Lanterns. Maybe if they called them something else and rings weren't involved, but if we're still going to call it Blackest Night then it wouldn't be a true story if they exclude any power rings.
I think you do Blackest Night in all it's glory and integrate the HBO Max series. I believe this would be a huge fan draw to the CW, but it can also set the tone for the CW to make some more adult-themed shows and get away from the teen angst.

I don't know how much more the DCEU could be messed up after Crisis. It seems there can be no end to it... At least, if anoter crossover ends up being done, make it as good as Armageddon. Not like the rest of Flash S8 (with the bright exceptions of The Curious Case... E16 or Lockdown E07).

No HBO Max is COMPLETELY seperate from the CW series as shown with their version of Alan Scott who was (spoiler if he is still alive in modern era) a member of Green Lantern CORP back in World War 2 and NEVER had a STARHEART ring always was Battery of Oa ring user.
CW Alan Scott remains a Starheart only user and born WAY AFTER the World War 2 era and does not become a hero until the mid 1980s as stated in Stargirl season 2

Maybe the cameo in the finale is actually green lantern which leads into some crossover with the blackest night story.
Currently the only ACTIVE Green Lantern in CW is over on Stargirl and Jennie is still learning how to master magick
At this point as all she can do is blast things with the power of the Starheart. Jennie can NOT create portals to other dimensions -- yet :D
I think if they were to do this without creating a green lantern show, which would put them on a bit of a time table, they’d have to drop in diggle as an already established green lantern and then explain to us how he became the green lantern in flashbacks of his series similar to the flashbacks in arrow.

SINGLE person crossover such as done with Armageddon IS STILL possible.
Only thing off the table is MULTIPLE people crossover such as with the Crisis
Barry is going to be a pink lantern given his title of the Paragon of Love
If you read the comics he actually becomes the blue lantern the symbol of hope

@@iamabotdude5545 Well, if Melissa decides to be apart of Grant’s little event, then yes, but knowing CW likes to go by comics from now on, it’s a possibility Barry becomes the blue lantern. Besides Can you really imagine Barry being pink lantern corps when it never happens in comics? The only lanterns he’s been were: Green, White, and Blue. Although I would love to see a red lantern flash one.

How many heroes in the arrowverse are actually dead. Not sure how it would actually work without introducing other lanterns.
If they want a crossover, try an Injustice story. Bring back Amell as another universe arrow to Superman and Lois looking for help with evil Superman who takes over the world. Bring in Flash Supergirl, etc and fight their counterparts. Might be interesting with some villains on arrow team.

If they allow Stargirl into the cross, there is a mostly dead JSA team they can pick and choose from.
If you mean the CW 1940s team you are correct as most of them minus McNider such as Dodd the chemical master who developed his knock out gas as the FIRST Sandman died of old age.
If you mean the 2010 battle members only the SUCCESSOR Sandman, John Thunder and Pemberton were confirmed killed in that battle.

Sorry cant speak on the teams inbetween McNider's 1940s team and the 1980s team which had just Ted, Tyler and Starman as members with John Thunder only as a reserve at the very end in the early 1990s where Jay came back out of retirement for his final battle.
I think characters like the Black Canary should have an evil version pop up and a good version like Sarah Lance died how many times and the original Sarah lands died and now this is a clone of Sarah Lance
