    it's not that common people in India are not sweet or friendly but in big cities people are always busy. because of the huge traffic people are spending big time going from one place to another. festivals give them time to relax and be at their friendliest. people who have time to give to foreign tourists in big cities are generally touts or scammers.
    but in villages it is completely different. unmatched hospitality in the villages but unfortunately not many foreigners go there.

      Agree completely, we have had some lovely in counters with people as they rush to and from work but in smaller towns and villages people have more time and it’s great to spend this time with people learning more about their culture, work or life

    Try going out to the villages, & you might meet some gypsies.
    Rajasthan is the original land of the gypsies.
