  • Made from mauby bark, citrus peel, cloves and cinnamon sticks.
Boil into a concentrate and then used to make a refreshing drink with just adding brown sugar.
The remaining concentrate can be stored in the refrigerator for long periods or can be boiled daily with added bark and water.
Ingredients amount varies according to amount of drink needed.
Add ice or drink straight from the fridge !
    Enjoy and happy cooking 😊❤️

The way my mother made it she put in sun it had holes in the cap & it had to foam. The way you bottle it wouldn't it blow up in the fridge?

Pregunta, ¿cómo hace su madre para que los insectos a los que les gusta la azúcar no se metieran por donde sale la espums después de ser envasada?🤔

Your mother was fermenting it so it needed some ventilation or I would otherwise blow up. Here it is just bottled unfermented then refrigerated.

@@jamesjohnson4900 la resina del mavi es muy fuerte y a muchos insectos no les agrada. Trepar en un sitio donde las hormigas no alcanzasen. También regrésalo dentro de la casa durante la noche.

Is there a special process to ensure your mauby drink rises? Ferments?

@@sapodillamom8976 I love mavi when I lived in Da Bronx I bought it from do guys on the side of the road in a van. When I lived in Manhattan I bought it from the bodega it was bottled with s screw on top. I guess the fermentation ended. I wish I knew the brand name. It tasted good. Goya made it at one point I don't think they make it anymore.

@@sapodillamom8976 I saw a lot of recipes that use ginger I found one that doesn't use ginger I'm Puerto Rican so I want one that doesn't have a strong ginger taste. I had it it's ok. My mother made Mavi when she was alive. I wish I sat down with her & wrote down all her recipes. I'm gonna try & make some when my Mavi bark comes in.
