Love the variety of your channel. I just hope we get to see some finished products soon. Show pictures of other tractor you’ve done. I loved the John Deer you did. The before and after is amazing. And yes you are getting better every time. ♥️

Just found your channel. Great job. I have used your method of guide bolts. Works great. Have seen a lot of videos spitting 8N and wonder they struggle and don't use guides.

Just found your video on 8 N tractor clutch, Really good video thanks. I'm going to be splitting mine in my shop pretty soon. Thanks for all the good tips on doing that. Mine definitely had the problem of H2o dripping on the clutch. It will be a 1 man show for me also. Thanks from the PNW.

i really appreciate you watching. the old tractor has been working great. its about time to start mowing again. I’ve since found a used grille and bumper bar for it.

@BrokenWrenches Cool, It's a must where I live. There's lots of tree branches and brush that can poke into my radiator. I have 2 9N's and 1 8N, and they all need some work.

I had to replace the ring gear on my ‘51 8N last summer. Ended up taking it to an industrial machine shop and they couldn’t get it on, said it was egg shaped even after heating red hot. I ordered a 2nd one, still didn’t want to go on so I asked about chucking the flywheel in a lathe and cutting down the flywheel. A couple thousands and they said they were going to ask me if they could do it. I said yes and it worked and ring gear has not sipped any. I think the steel used to make the ring gears just doesn’t want to expand when heated.

I'm about to split my 8N and replace the clutch. A happy coincidence that you just did this a week ago.

Its not to difficult. Buy a couple long bolts and cut the ends off like in the video. Thanks for watching.

You don't have the ring gear hot enough. That you just about be glowing red. And it should just fall right on. I put Mini album on in my lifetime.

Antique radiator looks pretty good! It’ll hold antifreeze up to there it should cool pretty good. Always wondered how those tractors came apart. Bet that thing steers easy as loose as those ends were. You’ll have to brush hog 3 times to get all the spots you miss. Was nice of the better half to tug you into the shop. She had to look back a couple times to make sure you were still hangin on. Will you get it done in time for brush hogging season? Stay cool

Yep. Its incredible to me how tough these old things are. She was probably hoping i wasnt back there anymore !!! I sure will have her running, not much of an option. Theres another one for sale locally thats sitting on 4 flats and needs other stuff, but its got an engine. If i have to i will buy it for parts. Appreciate ya as always.
