Google did more in a small update than Apple did in its full year's
Android 14 QPR3 doesn't seem to add a lot of user facing changes like the coveted desktop mode.
But they are all there, just disabled through configuration flags and will ship with Android 15 activated.
i don't even see a difference
1 gig download and nothing different on my Pixel 8 Pro in the UK, eg look up phone number is not there. Looks like this update is for the good ol' US of A only ....
But if your in the UK you get the pixel buds I'll trade

Yeah there was nothing new on the pixel 7A in the UK either with this update. America again, Europe really misses out on some features. That's why the pixel isn't as widespread as it could and should be

Reverse Phone Number Lookup is a great feature. I have Google TV - any updates there - don't see any AI integration yet for TV, series.
I like Google from a software perspective. I had a couple of Pixels and didnt really like it. So I went back to Samsung but I still use majority of Google Apps.
Display port support is something that should have been there for years now. Very disappointed in Google for trying to lock everyone into their chromecast ecosystem for so long. One of the many reasons I'll never buy Pixel again

Same here! Added a new bug where if scheduled a dark more, you cannot manually change it. It does change but goes back to what was set to at that time!
If the build number starts with AP2A, then you have Android 14 QPR3 and are good to go.
You just need to wait for the feature drop updates (independent of quarterly Android releases) to roll out over the coming days and weeks.
A lot of the anticipated user facing features like a desktop mode and private spaces are shipping with Android 15 and do exist in 14-QPR3. But are largely disabled by default using config flags.
@@rythmater so technically it's not a feature drop update now. Mine does start with AP2A.
@@Hitesh001100 Yes. Google likes to word that Android Quarterly Platform Releases and Pixel Feature Drops are the same thing.
But they are entirely different. Pixel Feature Drop features will roll out as app updates.
14-QPR3 doesn't bring much on user facing features.
So I've finally gotten the June update and now my phone wants to connect to every bluetooth device that i walk past. How can i turn this off? Either Google or AT&T has blocked almost every control switch in the bluetooth settings
Google should have just waited til a week before WWDC to announce their pixel 8a just to get them back.

Crying with my Pixel 7 Pro 😢 It's still considered new to me. If was promised AI features with the G2 chip. Yet all I see is Pixel 8 this and Pixel 8 Pro that. It really hurts me that features that get announced get cut from the previous generation Pixel devices.
I haven't received any new software updates for my Pixel 7 Pro as of this writing. Not even a security update for June. It's literally June 17th. 🤦♂️
i want Google to win! i really do. but man oh man they just cant get it together. Gemini just isnt as good as Chatgpt and everything just seems like it’s half baked. to many ideas come and go because theyre mot thinking things out. is it just me or does google needs a new CEO?
I 💯 agree with everything you said. As a Google Pixel fanboy, this is something I've been frustrated with Google for a long time. THEY REALLY NEED TO STICK WITH THEIR SERVICES AND DEVELOP THEM INSTEAD OF JUST CANCELING STUFF TOO SOON. They need to be better when it comes to CLARITY and CONSISTENCY. Um, Gemini is all over the operating system and apps, it's not just a chat app like ChatGPT. Just that puts it miles ahead.
@@BojanTomic 😂. Even though I'm no wear close to an apple fanlets see what happens when there AI launches. I'm thinking Siri will be better and the AI will be better integrated in the eco system. In the mean while if I ask Gemini what's on my calendar it'll still tell me it can't do that yet.
It is pretty limited in comparison to browser Gemini and that's really disappointing

I went to developer and turned on the Gemini but I still don't see it. When I try to send messages I don't see the little pencil
I use an iPhone. I have for the last few years now. But god damn it, we need a better android to push iOS and visa versa. The truth is, they’ve both been underwhelming for years. Ask anyone who uses their phone and they’ll tell you all the small things that could easily be changed to make the operating systems better.

I'm fairly certain they specifically said it was coming to US customers first, prob this update, and then the rest of the world fall or later this year. Hang in there, it's prob an international regulations problem or they just have focused on US regulations first.
