Im a Bills homer. Poyer is 33, Hyde is 33 and one neck injury away from paralysis. White has played 21 games from 2021-2023 because of 2 serious injuries that might not even make him available for the start of the 2024 season. I watch all the games and know the team as well as anyone and Poyer and Hyde were washed. I love them to death, I loved having them on my team for the last 7 years but there comes a time in every players career where they dont have it anymore. Poyer played more linebacker than safety last year because he was a liability in coverage. This team had one of the oldest rosters in the NFL and were clearly overpaying for those players. Im happy that the team didnt re-structure Stefon Diggs contract and kick the can down the road on his dead cap money as well. Something obviously needed to change with this team and maybe this is the beginning of that. Im excited to see McDermott forced to utilize younger players instead of the aging ones he was loyal to, like AJ Klein for example. Guy had no business manning up on Travis Kelce in the playoffs a month after coming off the couch. I just think the team is aiming in a new direction towards cap maneuvarability and getting younger and building through the young players. End rant, signing off

The Eagles were the biggest winner in free agency. Saquan, CJGJ, and Devin White. Plus about another dozen good pieces (Paris Campbell, Zach Baun, and especially, Bryce Huff).
Who did they lose again? Cox, Riddick, Byard....among others. Gotta account for players lost in FA to assess how they did filling holes. Huff is no Riddick. Lol u actually claimed Baun and Campbell are good signings...maybe...if you need a couple of bench warmers. Saquan will get injured no doubt, cj and devin white are the most reliable signings. I'd say they broke even with what they lost.

The best teams build through the draft and have a consistent stream of young talent on rookie contracts to contribute at key positions. They don’t take the quick and easy approach of going all in one year with massive free agent signings, then spending the next 3-5 years rebuilding.

Just like the Bills were going to miss the playoffs last year? Also the best guys in the Bills secondary were Christian Benford Rosul Douglas, and All-pro Taaron Johnson. All three were top 10 in CBs 😂. Mitch Morse was the only one not declining.

I am expecting the Commanders to at least challenge for a playoff spot in this upcoming season. I think Derick Henry could help the Ravens by being a bruising type of back softening up the defenses or they could use him in goal line and short yardage situations. I think The Eagles won their Offseason by getting Saquon Barkley form the Giants and the Giants lost their offseason by losing Barkley. Yeah I think the Ravens are NOT going to win the divisional title because of their key losses.
In my opinions it's chiefs and Bengals cause chiefs resign every great player and resign their coaches and signed Hollywood Brown to upgrade mahomes passing and Bengals have found good replacements for joe Mixon and Mike gecieki
It will be interesting to see which teams beat the expectations and which one underwhelms.

The Jets did make several readjustments in Offense and defense, yes losing Bryce Huff, Jordan Whitehead and not getting next year's compensatory draft picks hurt, and all the free agents are short term, but at least they were justified and this year's draft will provide them long term solutions in the long run
The Lions offseason has gone great. They got rid of a woman beater, and they've addressed their pass defense, and offensive guard problems well. They've definitely got Super Bowl potential.

While I am glad there is progress being made for the Falcons, my greatest concern is that we had no cap space to add some depth on defense after signing Cousins. He will make a world of difference at QB, but we are now betting on our first 2-3 draft picks this year instantly being difference making starters in pass rush and secondary.
Finally....something smart said about the addiction of Henry to Baltimore . It doesn't make them an instant conteender

Ravens gained a top 3 rb in nfl and lost a bunch of scrubs who mean nothing to this team. I really think our line played well considering Lamar holds the ball for 15 seconds. They constantly reset the pocket and that's hard to do. Also I loved Gus, not his fault a run dominant team got a new oc and thought Lamar could be tom Brady. Yeah Geno and queen are big losses to me. Pq is horrible in coverage especially on third down. This was Macdonald’s first year as ravens dc, yet ravens had a top 5 defense for at least past 5 years. Also on offense, ravens lost a bunch of scrubs. On defense ravens lost a bunch of meaningless players besides Clowney. Clowney though was overpaid by panthers. U know nothing about ravens football though.

The Ravens got Derrick Henry and they lost the offseason? Henry is still a perennial Pro Bowler. And he doesn't have as much mileage on him as most 30-year old starting running backs because he missed half of 2021. Losing Mike McDonald isn't a huge deal. No team replaces defensive coordinators better than they do. From Marvin Lewis to Mike Nolan to Rex Ryan to Chuck Pagano, and later on Wink Martindale and Mike McDonald. All of them went on to get head coaching jobs except for Martindale, who went on to become the guy who turned Dexter Lawrence into an elite player.

Yeah the Window is closed because last year the Bills were in position NOT to make the playoffs during one point in the season but they got hot at the right time and cruised into the playoffs and win the division title they got lucky that the Dolphins struggled down the stretch because if the Dolphins were to have won against the Bills then they would have been eliminated from playoff contention. This upcoming season they will be a lot worse than last year.

Washington needs to draft WR Harrison from Ohio State, if they can’t get QB Williams from USC, and then scoop up QB Bo Nix in the later rounds of the draft. Then rely on QB Mariota, while the rookie QB learns the system like the NFL used to do in the ‘80s and’90s. Then after two or three seasons, promote the rookie drafted this year.
I don't want to rely on Mariota. He stinks. We just need to hope that whoever we draft can be instantly great like C.J. Stroud

Washington is not going to win the Super Bowl this upcoming season and don’t think they are going to have a winning season either. Don’t just throw out a rookie and have him end up like Andrew Luck, David Carr, and Patrick Ramsey. It took several years for Troy Aikmen to play well, even if he started as a rookie. Steve Young was thought to be a bust in Tampa, until he sat on the bench behind Montana. Let the rookie QB, who ever he is, learn the offense on the bench behind Mariota and have Mariota tutor him.

*Just to be clear, I’m not saying that Williams will be a bust…but if that winds up happening, then you’d have to say that declaring this offseason a success for the Bears was premature.
