Excellent review👍. I have a 2022 Ford F-150 XLT Super Cab 4x4 with the Gen 2 2.7 liter EcoBoost V6. My truck is stock for now with only an AFE Momentum GT enclosed cold air intake system with Pro Dry S "non-oiled" synthetic cone filter. I will soon be ordering an SPD Performance "HX" Series 3" stainless steel performance catback system with their "Stage 2" 3" performance resonator. Wow!!, your 2015 Ford F-150 Super Crew XLT sounds awesome with just a "hint" of low level mellow rumble + some nice turbocharger noise & NO highway drone as promised! Very quiet, especially with high-flow SPD catted downpipes which typically make even a factory OEM exhaust somewhat louder. I'll be getting SPD Performance high-flow catted downpipes on my 2022 Ford F-150 XLT 2.7 liter EcoBoost later. Will be 3-5 months till they're released for the 2021+ up Ford F-150 trucks. Is your 2015 Ford F-150 a 2wd truck? Looks awesome. What a true "sleeper" with all you've done to it performance-wise! It's been said on most Ford EcoBoost 2.7 & 3.5 liter V6 trucks that adding high-flow catted downpipes adds 2nd most power (especially low-end torque) other than a performance engine/transmission "tune"! And to combat the major heatsoak issues in most Ford EcoBoost motors an aftermarket high capacity intercooler is a must. I've got the AFE cold air intake & will add the SPD Performance "HX" Series 3" catback exhaust system next followed by a high capacity performance Mishimoto intercooler like yours as I've owned other Mishimoto parts before + they also make a complete matching intercooler piping kit too! How do you like your Brew City Boost tune? I'm thinking I'll go with 5 Star Tuning. I want to add all supporting modifications to my F-150 beforehand, then do the performance engine/transmission tuning with downpipes added when they become available for my truck. Again sweet build on your Ford F-150!
Sweet! How do you like your Brew City Boost engine performance tune? I assume they also tuned your 6r80 six speed automatic transmission also? Have you ever had your F-150 dynoed or took it to a quarter mile track? In your short driving portion at the end of your video your 3.5 liter EcoBoost seemed "very" responsive throttle-wise even with barely touching the gas!
@kriswinger9391 the BCB tuning is great. No complaints at all. They did the engine and trans tuning. I never took it to the track. I have a few videos of having some fun on the street with it but that's all. Never dynoed it either
Nice I want to get the turbo whistle package but it is a little too loud for me , and I live in California so I can't swap my cats , I might end getting the turbo adapters if it's possible to connect to the stock downpipe, and then get this catback exhaust.
You can run the adapters with stock downpipe. I've had the adapters on since they first came out which was long before SPD made downpipes. Just ran the stock downpipe till an aftermarket was available
@hunter burch I had a weld in 3" resonator with stock muffler. The stock resonator is 2.5" and I wanted better flow. It did not whistle with that combo
Yes it does. This is also their hx muffler that came out long before the turbo whistle muffler. So even without the resonator there would be very little if any whistle with this muffler
czcams.com/video/DoPNBsXgc0g/video.html After making this video I needed up cutting another half a coil out of the spring and was happy with it at that point

I'm having a compressor surge issue with my 15 3.5 eco and I heard it the same noise when you were test driving. Have you addressed it at all? I have upgraded cac, inlets/ charge/ hit pipes, tuned, catted dp's, afe intake along with the Turbosmart Supersonic BOV. I personally think that it's BOV. But 8m curious if you have dealt with it or not. Thanks for another great video!
I dont have any compressor surge. Maybe it's the 50mm bov you heard? Typically compressor surge when letting off the gas is from the bov opening too slow or not at all. If you still have your stock bypass valve I would install it and see if that helps. If it does, then you know it's the turbosmart bov
@@turbojeremy13 I'll give it shot. My truck sounds like an owl everytime I left off the gas. I just put cr performance turbos on and that bov and since then it's been happening. Thanks for your recommendation and response, much appreciated!
@@mkkaylor it has a 50mm bov purchased on eBay. If you look through my other videos, there is one that shows how I hooked it up. Also have ams turbo inlet tubes even tho they aren't made for my year. I have a video showing how to do that as well
Great video man. This is exactly what I’m looking for
Thanks for making this man. Have a good one
Vegas baby. Looks like you live out by me. Can't wait to get mine setup

Ya, mine is 2wd.
You can't go wrong with SPD exhaust

@@turbojeremy13 Thanks , you just made my day.
@@turbojeremy13 when you had the struck down pipes with the adapters what did you have for the rest of the exhaust? And did it whistle
@hunter burch I had a weld in 3" resonator with stock muffler. The stock resonator is 2.5" and I wanted better flow. It did not whistle with that combo
Is all that turbo flutter just from the exhaust or do you have it tuned?
It's tuned
Does the resonator kill the turbo whistle or is it still there? I cant really hear it in the video.
Yes it does. This is also their hx muffler that came out long before the turbo whistle muffler. So even without the resonator there would be very little if any whistle with this muffler
what is the blow off valve
It's a 50mm bov I got off ebay. I have another video that shows how the install was done
Any impact on gas mileage good or bad?
No effect good or bad
can u send me a link to the bov install plz

After making this video I needed up cutting another half a coil out of the spring and was happy with it at that point
Which system is this? They have a couple options
This is their HX series exhaust. At the time I got it, it was their only muffler.
@@turbojeremy13 sweet thanks!
Does it make a noticeable difference in power?
Definitely. The factory resonatorbis only 2.5", so it doesn't flow as much as the 3" system that replaced it
Do you have a blow off valve
Yes, I have a 50mm bov. Here is a link that shows how I did it.
