  • Still a beast even after 20 summers of mowing. M60KW25. Was over 7k in 2002, still worth more than the cheap mowers of today.

I bought my m60 tank in 2004. I pull maintenance on it in the winter months and get it ready for spring. I pound my machine all summer long. The machine was while built. Thank you cub cadet for a great mower.

My father in law has this mower and it has an issue with the left motor so I’m starting look for any information on parts and rebuilding that I can find. It still runs and cuts, you just have to have the left stick full forward and throttle the right stick to keep her straight (and she doesn’t like making hard lefts). Besides that it’s still a beast!

I bought a M54 last year for $1000. I've managed to work up a small clientele and now the mower has paid for itself at least 4 times over, lol. These things are absolute Beasts!!!

For $600 I bought my m48 tank at 1200 hours with numerous issues. Since then, I've replaced tires, belts, one pulley, fluids and filters, battery, blades, repositioned rear weights, greased all fittings, added a deck pedal, and performed various other maintenance--This machine is cutting grass better now than ever!

I have the same mower. Mine is an 03, and I believe I can still make it go another 20. It is an absolute beast like you said.

I just bought a 2011 Tank L48. The hour meter is stuck on 840. Absolutely love it. Mowed my lawn in about 1/3 the time.

Nice. When you think about it, it should last this long. A "commercial" mower in the hands of landscaping guys is going to get much more than 25 hours per year. They may be getting 25 hours in a few weeks or so. Have no idea how long it takes them to kill their mowers or what the average life of those should be.

I aid $2k for my Lesco Tank m54 which is the exact to the tee same as yours despite being m60 The deck leveling is not that bad and I kinda like the front adjust both sides and the back adjusts pitch

Have this machine sitting in my garage wondering how it would do with a plow ?

I think it could be a great snow plow. Cub Cadet used to make a plow for it, but it was expensive and you had to remove the mower deck to install it.

Do you still have this mower if so how is it holding up ?

We still have it, and it is running good. Just changed the oil and filter today. New air filter and fuel filter a couple of days ago. Changed out the blades last year. Still love the mower. The only problem is that when it gets hot, if we shut the blades down, they don't want to start back up. But I'll figure that out someday. Thanks, Sterling

@sterlingdewey it could need grease especially if your are mowing for a long time, the barring maybe the issue or rust. I only ask because I have the 54 inch cut and it is a beast
