Asylum claims by international students went up 650% in the past 5 years The study permits system is being exploited as a way to ENTER and REMAIN in Canada . And the most students are coming from India , and india has the highest number of international students coming to Canada then any other country you have 319,000 students coming from India alone . compared to China that has 100,000 students Coming to Canada and the Philippines has 32,009 students coming to Canada France has only 27,000 people coming to Canada . Way is it all the students are coming from one place the majority from India something is not adding up .

This is like 10 years ago. Our healthcare system is broken. It’s free but we waited 31 hours in the hospital to be seen. We have a housing crisis right now so if you want to live in Vancouver / Toronto and want to buy a house for your family. Prices start at 1 million USD. Don’t forget higher taxes to pay for free healthcare. If I could move I would!

@@johnt7776yeah i agree with you , but isn't house prices rose up since COVID everywhere? For example in Australia average house prices for a house in Melbourne or Sydney is for 2 million and if we talk about LA or NYC it's in millions. So tell me isn't Vancouver or Toronto are most popular cities in Canada it's obvious at some point of time house prices in these cities will skyrocket just like other big popular cities around the world. Even tho i am not a Canadian i still like how rich their diversity is and how nice they are. All i want to say is that just be happy in what you have.

@@venomsss2577 our country is going down the tube. it's terrible here, prices have gone up 4x in some cases where I am, and it's a much smaller town. our GDP per capita and living standards have decreased dramatically with immigration of this magnitude.

Yeah I'm surprised he didn't mention the high cost of living and a higher percentage of tax (as compared to the US). Plus, the healthcare system, although free is not as great as it's made out to be.
Regarding jobs, the IT jobs do exist, but not so much for other engineering fields. I'm afraid, finding jobs in Canada is way harder the US (I'm a US resident).

Is there any benefits that employers in Canada receive from hiring international employees?
    Mostly referring to retail positions.
Such as able to paying lower wages or
    Better tax rates?

government subsidised them in some cases, but honestly indians get preferential hiring here in canada at this point.

Yes, governments allow for more grants and tax subsidies if companies hire non-whites because it counts towards "diversity quotas". If they're new arrivals, those benefits increase.

Most people do not appreciate that Canada, due to its colonial heritage, is more like UK than like USA. The kind of open society which led to migrants becoming CEO's and the startup culture do not exist in Canada. They still report to the queen whereas the US have moved on a long time ago and reached its present hyperpower state.
