ive been struggling with restrictive eating and today was the first day i went out to eat all year. your videos have been helping me let go of my toxic mindset and ED.
You're doing amazing! Im proud of you
Well done! It's very had to break out of the toxic mentality of EDs, you're doing great! Keep up the work!🥰
praying for you love. God loves you so much and He will help yo through all things!! so much love sent your way 🥰🥰🙏
proud of you!!!
That’s amazing
I've never knew that was what dietitians meant when they said a handful of sth 😂
Abbey encourages not being restrictive, she's amazing.
@@B_27 we certainly don't mean 2 tbsp
That's definitely more than a handful but there's no rule about only having a handful of nuts
What is sth
OK that toast with cream cheese and figs looks absolutely INCREDIBLE
I feel like a lot of the dietitian meals always have a lot of ingredients.
It would be nice to see more simple recipes with items you can find in your pantry or on a budget.
I agree. The cereal with protein powder and fruit looks easy to assemble though.
FYI - you cannot have 1/2 dec cold brew. Chances are you’re getting strictly full caffeine cold brew with or without a dec espresso shot lol we don’t make decaf cold brew 😬
Correct and its also pointless to ask for the same sized cup you are ordering the drink in.
I was looking for these two comments and was thinking the same
Fr was looking for the other baristas/sbux workers who recognized that order is bs lmaoo
Maybe it’s different in Canada? I know some places have different ways to order based on country
More likely a 1/2 caff iced americano
It's crazy how every body is different. If I ate all that food in a day I'd be bloated, tired, and definitely gain weight.
to be fair she doesn't look in shape
@@jacobslinalx89 she totally does, have u actually seen her in her recent vidoes? her face and neck are slim, her arms, hips, legs are almost skinny, what i assume ure basing it on is that she doesnt have a completely flat belly, but if u expect that from a non restrictive mother of 2, gl. some women can have flat bellies again after pregnancies but not all.

Do you workout a lot as well? If I ate this I'd 100% gain weight. But everyone is different.
yeah, thats a lot of calories, she probably workout.
She doesn’t necessarily need to work out a lot, because she was feeling her hunger out on that particular day. The next day or two she will probably crave lots of greens and fiber, so it all balanced out. Intuitive eating means trusting your body to tell you what it needs, when 😊
We NEED more of these!!! Btw I literally love this channel I want to be a diatition too!!
same!! 🤩🤩🤩
Wow, that cream cheese and fresh fig toast looks amazing! Thanks for sharing, Abbey!
Love the video. If you could be a little slower though. It’s hard to enjoy everything I’m seeing when it’s going so fast lol
It would be great if you did one of these each week. Just a little slower though ;-)
we want more of abbey shorts!! especially WIEIAD😬
i can’t tell you how much you have helped me heal my relationship with food 🥺
Awesome! I get paranoid I’m always eating too much so seeing this is great just to check in that the volume is actually totally fine! Especially as most people online downplay the amount AND dessert, and I’m a dessert everyday kinda gal
Why would you be paranoid? If you're not overweight and healthy, keep eating for YOUR body.
@@wa6184 overweight people aren’t allowed to eat for their body too? Surely being in a larger body doesn’t remove your right to eat enough.
@@BloomingLisa obviously that's not what I meant and you know it.
If they think they eat a lot and are overweight, maybe there is an issue.
If they think they eat a lot and are at a healthy weight, there's probably no issues with the amount.
@@wa6184 fair enough. Apologies if I misinterpreted your response. It wasn’t actually that obvious to me, to be fair…
I’m just a bit fed up with all the messages out there stating that people with thin privilege can eat what they like but larger people should constantly be dieting or striving to lose weight.
Sorry, probably just hit a raw nerve…
@@BloomingLisa no worries. I just think that overweight people *might* have to consider eating less just like underweight people *might* have to consider eating more. I guess I assumed that the OG post was from a person within the normal weight range wondering if they eat too much and frankly I hate this "oh everyone eats more/less than me, maybe I should eat more/less" because it's based on other people's behaviour/bodies etc which should never be an indication of your own behaviour.
Abby, just ignore this if you want to, So..my mom bought a pizza for me with pepperoni those frozen ones you know, and I’ve been trying to ignore it but it looks so good at 3pm in the middle of the day and I feel like “oh no don’t eat that chose some carrot sticks and hummus.” But it’s really been bugging me
Wait wait wait…. I can put my protein powder in my cereal?????????? I hate protein shakes! This is going to make it so much easier and better!
i really appriciate these videos! I'm deff trying out that cereal and parfait
Oh my God! Abbey, you are ine of my favorites, so happy to see you making different type of contents :) congrats on your shorts ;)
Whoa that toast with figs looks amazing 🤤
I’m always thinking about the things I’ve learned from your videos & how “healthy” eating needs to be something I look forward to. Thank you for showing such variety of satiating, crave-able foods!
How is 90% of that food remotely "healthy."?
Appreciate that there is no body check 😂
I would love more of these! Your food is so beautiful and looks sooooo satisfying 🤤
I eat half of that and I still can’t lose any weight
Honestly that looks so good. Your videos have inspired me to go back to college to become a dietician to help the trans and neurodivergent communities in their struggle with food.
You're gonna need a masters degree if you're in the US, just forewarning.
@@janehoe. I'm not in the US, where I live it's a Bachelor. So I'm good.
All looks so good and delicious. I like to sea here more carbs,i feel like i need more carbs, otherwise i get hungry fast and then i grab something unhealthy, mostly good carbs of course. For breakfast I like to have 2 slices of whole wheat bread, eggs what varies from what is my mood and cucumber, radishes, tomatoes.
Looks tasty but too carb heavy for me personally. I tend to prefer salads, smoothies, stir fries, sandwiches, etc.
Yazz we love Abbey doing shorts now
I want more of these "what I ate" shorts
😭thats so much food, I'd gain weight immediately.
it’s really not that much food actually! everyone has a calorie intake ( ex. womens is around 2,000 and mens 2,500 ) the only way you can really gain weight is if you go over that limit. edit: also the stuff she eats looks to be more on the healthy side so it’s mostly healthy calories! it’ll be different if its only like junk food and sweets
She has said that she loves exercising and being active, she also looks to be on the taller side, so she needs more food to maintain!
Maximilian: I would too 😞
@@jazz8816 unfortunately 2000 is too much for some of us with metabolism issues, it was just me being sad I cant eat as much as her is all.
That's what these diet gurus that grew up thin/average never consider. If you overate in your formative years then you're insulin damaged and can't eat 'normally'. You have to resort to low carb or calorie restriction. I'm a 6ft woman and younger than Abbey, but if I ate like this on a consistent basis, I would gain.
I’d be huge if I ate all that but I’m 54 so enjoy that while you can 😂
I’d be as big as the side of the house
So would she if she always eats like this.
@@MelodyInTheChaos says the one who knows nothing about maintenance
As a caffeine sensitive dietitian, just curious to know if you've ever stopped coffee and chocolate? It's the only way I am able to sleep. It absolutely sucks, but omg sleep is so worth it. Caffeine has a loooong half life and if you're the least but sensitive it will impact your sleep. The theobromine in chocolate will also. Just offering my personal experience in hopes that it might be helpful. ❤️
Usually 8-12 hours for the average person
I’m caffeine sensitive and I can still have it within that timeframe
thank u for sharing such a balanced day of eats, it's a great example:)

What kind of protein powder? Mine always ends up gooey when I mix with cereals or oats!

Hi! Matcha (green tea) could be a great alternative. And instead of using cow’s milk try oat milk or soy milk instead. And if ur trying to lose weight, I suggest eating complex carbohydrates instead of simple carbs to help you feel full longer so u won’t get hungry quickly.

I used to eat like that until about age 50 and then menopause hit. Every carb turned into pounds!! Looks delicious though.
I agree! This way of eating for women is ok if you’re in your 20’s or 30’s! She will see someday!
I am in my 40s now. This is a joke in terms of keeping a healthy level of body fat for me. Never had the metabolism to support eating this way, even in my 20s and 30s.
@@Hat65 - I definitely think it's the amount of carbs, whether it's complex carbs, and what you combine it with. Love carbs. But gosh, when you're 60, that pasta hits you far, far differently than when you're 30. Moderation for sure!
@@Hat65 Do you think they eat the highly processed food that is in this video?
I've never been able to eat like that even younger.... and I'm 5 ft 11". It's just a horrible diet imo. in my 40s now and high protein, lots of veggies and NO processed foods (especially no sugar and no bread/pasta/rice/soy/corn) is the way to go for me. Found out gluten affects me negatively. Healthiest I've ever been in terms of weight and energy. Almost no inflammation from my autoimmune disease and my thyroid nodules and uterine fibroids have shrunk.

Why did you order a call and specify in a tall cup
how many calories should 15 year olds eat?
It’s so dependent on height, weight, and lifestyle also if you’re not done growing you should eat more and not always, but usually males require more energy than females. However I would just say in my experience it’s probably best to steer clear of calorie counting and eat 2-4 balanced meals every day and plan a few balanced filling snacks… Counting calories is just such an arbitrary way of measuring how much you should eat, since our energy needs vary a lot on a given day and it’s actually crazy, but our bodies use different calories differently so there are some foods that some people might not even absorb the calories in and there have even been some studies that indicate that some people might not even absorb the calories in alcohol… That was a really long way of me saying to prioritize listening to your body!! And of course I’m not denying that calories in, calories out is true. If you eat less calories you’ll lose weight, if you eat more, you’ll gain weight, but our needs fluctuate, different people may metabolize different foods differently and calories on labels especially at restaurants aren’t always accurate… Anyways, I know this was super long, but I suspect you’re asking this question for yourself and I was just thinking of everything I wish I knew when I was that age because that’s when I developed my eating disorder and it has been five years since then, I’ve come a very long way, but I still struggle and I just wish I never got into calorie counting in the first place. I think it’s good to know what the calories are in some foods, but not to add all of them up every single day. There’s a podcast I highly recommend and one episode on calories in particular that I think is really fascinating and relevant to this whole little rant I’ve been on. The podcast is called the maintenance phase and the episode is called “the trouble with calories”
@@phoebelouise9804 thanks for giving me such an in-depth response !!

It would be useful if you did the analysis at the end of the segment to evaluate the nutrition and calorie profile. Also it's unclear the portion sizes of the evening meal dishes. So yep really great to get an insight but the analysis would be helpful.

So as a dietitian all you do is eat?
Ohh my figs on bread like that....!!!!!
IDK how many dieticians recommend starbucks for at least a quarter of your daily caloric intake. Not to mention if you are trying to lose weight, maybe a third. Intuitive eating IS NOT something to recommend to an obese patient. I am down at least 40 pounds since May, and if I "intuitively ate" since May, I'd probably still be 225. When people think of intuitive eating, they think eat what my brain says to eat, NOT eat what my body needs for nourishment!
That's so much food and so much variety. The body does better with less ingredients. Why pasta, pizza and all those carbs. I guess that's why so much food. The carb coaster be crazy.
Looks tasty. I'd eat all that. Good inspiration!

Why do you only drink soy milk?😊
Yea dietitians always eating processed foods lol 😆
This lady knows next to nothing about food and diet. It's actually quite disgusting if she charges people money for this "healthy diet." Judging by her channel, seems like she BOUGHT her diploma on the internet 🙄.
@@jjdoe9707 hey dumb dumb , dietician is a protected term . She went to a credited Canadian uni , did placement and took an exam. It’s not a diploma. That’s how I know You don’t know what you are talking about. It’s a degree in dietetics.
Do you know what processed means ? I don’t think you do. Because processing food includes cooking it.
@@peaches__ In the USA a degree is equivalent with having a diploma, ie you receive a diploma when you successfully meet the requirements for a degree. Got a few diplomas of my own, ie degrees, so at least in the USA, that's a pretty synonymous term.
Why so angry and aggressive though over such a small thing? 🤯 Almost like you know something about Abby's degree history. Did she almost flunk out of a pseudo science degree- Dietology😁?
But just because someone has a degree or a diploma doesn't necessarily mean they know what they are talking about. Abby NotSoSharp is ridden with health issues and most likely an eating disorder, yet somehow this know-nothing thinks she is smarter than many doctors and other professionals with DEGREES way more advanced than hers, when the opposite is true. 😁🤦
@@peaches__ Yes, cooking is a way of processing food, but as far as the term "processed food" is concerned, it generally describes food that has been processed in a factory setting to one degree or another. For example, you can find RAW chicken in the store and the label will say "minimally processed." Obviously, raw chicken hasn't been cooked, but otherwise handled (for example washed in bleach. Yes, that is a real thing) at a factory.
So as much as you try to sound witty, check the labels and the various meanings of the term "processed " before embarrassing yourself in a public forum.
Wait.... Abby NotSoSharp , is this you? 🤯 Sounds like one of your "smart" and "witty" rants. 😁
Thank God for the central nervous system drugs.

How does this help if we can’t copy any of it?
I’m confused?
I think she means don't copy the video itself to another site. There is a lot of content stealing that goes on.
Or also she's also talked before I think about people using 'what I eat in a day' videos as a gospel and deciding to do exactly that, and while it's totally fine and good to take inspiration or meal ideas from those videos, it's important to remember that you and the creator aren't the same person and you don't know their exact dietary needs and how well they may or may not match up with yours. So the point is that, while it certainly is not easier than just deciding to eat the same things they eat in a day, it's *better* for you and your individual needs to maybe take some individual meal ideas and incorporate those (or even modified versions of them, if necessary!) into a meal plan that you have tailored to your own needs (ie. maybe not exact numbers or percentages if that isn't your thing or is triggering, but a general idea of how much food you should be eating to meet your health goals, and how much of what *types* of food, like produce/proteins/carbs/fats, and possibly, if that is something you need to keep a closer eye on, certain foods that may be rich in certain vitamins/minerals like iron.)
If it's accessible to you, a dietician can really help with figuring out what is right for you, but I know not everybody has the recources. And if it's all just too overwhelming and too much to deal with on your own, that's okay, you can always just start with the general recommended guidelines for someone of your sex and stature, and hopefully maybe once you feel more comfortable with that, you can do a little more research in one area and take another step toward refining your diet for you, and then another, and another, and eventually you'll get to a place where you feel pretty confident you're getting what you need to meet your health goals.
@@_.-_ WOW! You took one hell of a time to write all that, that’s really cool of you most people wouldn’t take the time. I appreciate the help understanding better 🙏🏼 I guess I just need to find a nutritionist and get food ideas.
