I carry a small knife too. It is sentimental and practical. My dad used to carry it a long time ago. When he stopped carrying it, I asked if I could have it and he gave it to me. So now I take it everywhere with me.

The little knife isn‘t controversial in my opinion. I also carry a tiny victorinox pocket knife and my mum does too in her handbag. I also know a few people who have them on their keys :)

During my whole adult life, I always carried a pocket knive in my purse and/or car. When I was young, my mama and us kids got stuck inside our VW Beetle. We had bought a Christmas tree, and when the seller tied it to the roof, he threaded the rope through the open wondows and tied us in! My mother cut the rope with her handy pocket knife. 😊

It is also handy for cutting fruits or other food on the go, mine is a Deejo foldable knife (also an art object, I think). After more then six years still happy when I use it. I also carry a pen, my e-reader and a little notebook. Also I always carry a cloth handkerchief. Nice video 😊

It's fascinating to see what other women carry in their purses. Some are minimalist like you, and some carry a lot of different things that they find necessary. I carry a bit more than you do simply because I've found they're needed for myself and my son. I enjoyed seeing that someone else carries a small pocket knife. They do come in handy.❤❤
The knife is very useful when you get hungry and buy an apple you can't wash, so you peel it, or when you buy bread and want to make sandwiches on the go.

I also carry all of these objects plus a 50cl water bottle (and a bigger knife 😅). Most of the time my bag turns into a backpack because I want to bring some things to do with me (I get bored very easily): my sketchbook and pencil case, a small crochet project or at least a book (or my kindle).
You have inspired me to down-size! My bags are always so heavy! But I fear if I take some things out, that will be just the time that I need them. A couple of things that are must-haves for me is a few pens and hand lotion. Living in the country in Australia, my skin gets very dry. This was a great video, Ana!

I use my Uniqlo bag everyday too. I do have a smaller pouch for the smaller items inside so I don't have to fish around for them. Your hair looks great at that length xx

Hi there. I have almost the same things in my bag, lol. Currently I love to use a cotton backpack. I love the different compartments.
I also carry a little knife. It is a small swiss army knife and comes in very handy when I need to cut off strings, or have to peel fruit when eating something on the go etc. - I also carry a lighter. I think a knife and a lighter can be very useful tools in all kinds of situations. - I always have sanitizer as well and a spare face mask/ medical mask. Nowadays I think it is wise to carry one, just in case. I don`t take heart medication, but I have pills for my rheumatoid arthritis with me. I also carry a little pouch with tea bags, because I love to drink tea and sometimes I just order hot water, or swap their tea with one of mine, lol. I usually carry my own sweetener too. I have to be very carful when eating something out there. Because of my autoimmun condition I follow a strictly plant based, gluten free and oil free diet. Oh, and for getting sick on trains or other, I use peppermint oil. I carry a little bottle of essential oil with me at all times. Just rubb a few drops on your temples or above your lips and behind your ears.

Now that I'm a mom I Always forget half of my things at home. For the Kids I never forget anything.
I have a similar bag I got off of Amazon and I think it is fabulous. Cost me $16 and it works perfectly for work when I wanna carry only and finish Saturdays and not worry about a more expensive bag.
I always have a knife on me too and usually my firearm when I leave the house as well.

I love your little sling bag and your home-made tote. So nice that you have personalised it. It is great that you are able to hold onto things for long periods of time and have consistency in what you carry. I have 3 bags and a backpack because I sometimes like/need to carry more and other times want to carry really light. I have recently donated my leather wallet because it was too big and heavy. Now I have a tiny purse with 2 compartments, one for notes and some cards and one for coins. I usually use my phone to pay for items in shops but need cash for food at the market. I have 3 large totes for shopping that I always have with me and I often use them to hold a coat, cardigan or umbrella to free up my hands and still be prepared for changeable weather. Thanks for giving us a peek inside your bag.

I love having a small bag with just essentials. It’s funny but I just feel so much more “together” this way. Gone are the days digging around in a giant bag. The little knife is a great tool that can serve many purposes and get you out of a pinch if needed. I want one too!
I carry a backpack. The first one I had, I carried for 15 yrs (1979-1993) until I wore it out. The second one I was able to find online the business (which had moved) where I bought the first pack. I commissioned them to make an identical pack and have carried it since 2005. Obviously I love it. I carry too many things, but like you, I always have what I need: small scissors, a knife, keys, a handkerchief, sanitizer, lotion, gum a nail file, my journal, Bible, calendar, wallet and checkbook. I can fit my water into it if I need to since I use a reusable-lidded cup since some places frown on bringing drinks inside the business.

I carry reading glasses, tissues, and dry eye drops-- all very handy when I am working on a computer. Also, hand sanitizer and a face mask in case I'm somewhere that I might need that.

I love the fact that you carry a small knife and that it is a locking blade knife. I have always had a small, locking blade knife in my pocket since high school. As a teenager I was practicing carving wood one day and had a knife fold up on my and cut a finger. Since then I have (almost) always used a locking blade knife. For a year or two I carried a small Swiss Army Knife, but the fact that the blade did not lock didn't appeal to me, so I went back to a locking blade knife. You are right, a small knife can come in handy for any number of reasons - cutting string or rope, opening boxes, cutting up an apple or cheese (after cleaning the blade with sanitizer - which is usually a hand these days), and other things. Ah,funny thing my daily bag is smaller than yours, in black mostly and carry similar items ..minus a knife 😬😄i could get in trouble with the law here
I also carry a knife which is part of a multi-tool but it is a little janky, looking to update to a proper swiss army knife!
I only carry a very small bag, but it‘s always interesting to see others‘ bags!
Apart from my phone, I carry a small pouch intended for keys as a cash wallet. It has a tiny side pocket for the second currency I need often (I live near a border). A flat leather organiser holds my ID, driving licence, credit card, insurance card and two other cards I often need. There is a small notebook and pen, which I use quite a lot, too. A glass nail file also lies across the bottom of the bag; it has never broken. A few headache and antihistamine tablets plus a couple of emergency plasters are in a zipped side pocket. I no longer carry a comb or miniature Swiss army knife since a phase when I was flying a lot, guess I could put it back in there (though tbh I haven‘t missed it). A spare folded dog poop bag is important, either bc I usually have my dog with me, or if I want to gather shells, nuts, pinecones, chestnuts or other things lol! Lastly, I have a high spf lip balm in there, too. If I think I‘ll need it, there is room for a small folded tote, too. I carry a cotton handkerchief in my pocket, usually.

And yes: hygiene gel/wipes (which I prefer) are always necessary. A shopping tote is also an item I have in my bag as well as an umbrella and much more. My bag is big 😂. Great video. Take care 😁

Not only did my mother carry a small pocket folding knife when i was growing up but i had one too before i was even 10 years old (a very very long time ago). I never thought anything of it. If you need to cut up an apple on the go, you can do it.

I just throw a few things in the front pocket of my small rucksack. I have a large wallet which contains my cards and cash; a small wallet which contains my darling's cards so I can get things for him; my phone; hand sanitiser; keys; shopping list and pen. That's all!
I always carry a tiny knife attached to my keys. I use it very often!

Hello from North Carolina! That’s a cute bag and pretty color. I carry a small crossbody as well. Mine is a waxed canvas bag so it’s water proof. I carry my glasses in a hard case. I have a small zip around wallet for cards, cash and coins. I carry chapstick, feminine hygiene products, a pen, a small planner and my phone.

I have a special plan which secures having the simcard while I live abroad - there's a monthly fee that is very low, less than 1 USD a month.
hello. I m always full of things in my bag. But if I can choose 2 must have things (besides the wallet) is a book and paper/pen (go together). Ahh and lately my glaces :) I take profit of all available time (waiting for the bus, on the bus) to read or to write. Loved your organization!
You started the trend :D I think this style of bag is good with theft protection and easy access,. In addition, good for walking and traveling too. Is interesting all you have and the how have 2 phones. I had a co-worker that had 1 phone w/ her family plan and another with boyfriend/ for Canada. PS with anti-theft I mean carry in front of one's body, easy to keep an eye on and harder to grab. I have seen some people carry their backbacks across the front of their body in busy areas and often think for less access from others behind.
Hello Ana, this is so funny, because my bag holds almost the same things as yours😂 I don't have the chewing gums, and your knifey as repaced by a pen in my bag. Other stuff exactly the same, even the Tote Bag for the same reason (I can put my pullover or scarf in it). 🙋🏽♀️

I like to carry sanitizing wipes (mini) and a swiss army knife. To cut up apples for the Kids, pull out splinters, spread stuff on bread, cut nails/loose threads, even Emergency repairs to the bike charriot. A spoon and fork are Always nice to have, and bibs and the usual suspects you Need for babies. For me I like snacks, water, chapstick, phone, wallet, gum/mints, grocery totes, DEODORANT (somehow I Always forget to put it on before running out) keys and very important: ziplock bag!!!
