There was alot if truth in here I wasn't ready to hear. It opened my eyes to a few things I have been thinking about. Survivors guilt, purpose, wondering "what if"... This gave me a sense that we're all going through things.

Fuck, when Eli said that he spent a lot time fighting with his wife and not enough time fighting for her. It made me reflect and realize that I need to do better.

Even with him you will get the same. When people are ignorant of something as basic as freedom or what rights are, oppression is all that comes from them holding office. The fact he is a team member shows he is an order follower. He doesn't question he just does.

Something that helped me was the mentality that dying for my wife is honorable but an authentic man will live for his wife. Be present for her. Help her through life. Encourage her, and teach her. Most importantly listen to her. Thatâs hard but thatâs love. Sometimes itâs harder than dying

Shawn seems so much more relaxed and laid back since his treatment. I'm going to get my Dad to watch Shawn's story. Maybe he can find that feeling of happiness and relaxation and find relief from his PTSD symptoms. Shawn thanks for bringing these things to light.VA seems to only prescribe more pills just to treat the symptoms. Happiness suits you ! @@marccano5061 I don't think it was being macho. There was a stiffness and watchfulness. I see it in my Dad as well. It's like they are strung so tight all the time there body never relaxes. There was a part of the episode where Shawn laughed and it was so different than in other videos. He's lost that stiffness through his whole body.It's so difficult to describe. I see some of the same things in my dad. I have watched my dad struggle with his PTSD. After he retired from the Army he moved like 2 miles away from me to be closer. I use to see him every weekend. Now he's going to the VA every week, I barely see him 2 or 3 times a month now. I'm afraid for him. I call everyday to make sure he's ok. But the VA isn't working. It getting critical now I'm afraid.
@stacey b I see the same changes in Shawn even has a new brightness to his eyes and facial expressions.
Don't hesitate to guide your Dad to try this alternative healing it works have seen it work with others and personally been through similar treatments.

As a GM2 back in 2010, We had two BUDs Dropouts assigned to us via them choosing GM, and those two guys humbled a lot of us. Hard workers and always ready to rock out for the team. One was older then I was at the time and he was a great asset for the younger guys due to his life experiances and just overall level headed nature. Ship life was definitely wild but I miss it at times.
