To be fair, Cloud was completely comatose and Zack told him to be "his living legacy". It's not Cloud's fault. On top of that, Sephiroth and Jenova are messing with his memories by giving him Zack's memories via the Jenova cells.
Finally, Cloud is as strong, stronger even, than a second class SOLDIERS like Roche. He has no reason whatsoever to think he WASN'T a SOLDIER 1st class.
Regains his memories and the. Immediately modified them to something inaccurate. Clouds brain truly cannot cope
I feel like all his delusions in this game are gonna build up to a worser mental breakdown for part 3 when he realizes what actually happened to Zack in this timeline 😭
Not inaccurate at all? Zack x Aerith were a couple until Zack went missing, and Aerith didn't know what happened to him. Zack wrote to his parents about finding a girlfriend, and Nojima points out in Crisis Core Ultimania that the girlfriend is Aerith. So I'm not sure what inaccuracies you are imagining. LOL.

That "You came with me on the mission"" when it's really the other way around, he was a low level Guard accompanying Zack and Sephiroth. Shortly after the clip in this video ends, Cloud thinks Zack is the one who got washed away in the water. Idk how that dude thinks what Cloud said is the truth lol

Remake and Rebirth are making it very clear when memories are being modified
With static showing a modified memory and when its not, its a pristine transition
But concidering the end, and that Cloud is making more general advances in this part, its going to be... interesting... how things unfold

He was his first friend. He had no one in Nibelheim. Tifa yea abit but they weren't that close. Zacks personality gets out the best in people. For Cloud a shy guy it was hard to make friends but with Zack since he's outgoing he got Cloud to open up. Then they became friends

I don't recall Crisis Core terribly well, but this might have been the first real chance Zack had to talk about having a girlfriend to someone he considered a friend and, knowing him, he'd likely be bursting to chat about it.

He's a little confused, but he's got the spirit.
Always thought Zack had the most miserable ending. All the guy wanted was to see Aerith, got hunted down with a comatose cloud, killed his best friend and forced into a situation he never wanted to be in. Then literally gunned down and died a few miles away from her. With Aerith never knowing how desperately this man was trying to get to her. The saddest part of the DMW in his final fight in CC. Basically every memory is fading away and the last person he holds on to is Aerith.
Zack really loves Aerith man. Aerith downplays this super hard in the OG and to a degree in the remake. But at least rebirth made some effort to show more glimpses of zack actually showing this in flashbacks.
I made my first runs of FF7 with Zack just beeing "the guy in the photo". He didn't even had a name, and i didn't make the connection with his parents in Congaga. I'm not even telling you about the video in Nibelheim's manor that shows you how he died, that i found years later on youtube. For me, he was just killed by Sephiroth in the reactor...

Aside from finding the flashback on CZcams because I was just exploring right before the crater and stumbled on the scene, I get what you're saying. Zack was a footnote in the ff7 game even though a lot of the things in that game were centered around his memory. He was named when Cloud lost his mind, but it never really struck me that he survived after the reactor either until I stumbled back into the Shinra mansion.

Cloud may remember Zack, but he doesn’t remember that he was never actually a SOLDIER like Zack or even that Zack is actually dead. Even the way he remembers the Nibelheim event is the same as how he first remembered it in the og game. I’m intrigued to see how this change in Cloud’s awareness now will affect his character going forward. Because even if he remembers some of it now, it’s clear he doesn’t remember what actually happened back then.
The memory restoration scene in Part 3 is going to be a lot more impactful now

He even didn't remember how Zack died defending him and told Cloud to keep on living. He never even actually visited his mom, explained why he regretted deeply. This confuses me. I'm not sure there will be another memory reveal somewhen in part 3. In the original it happened right after Aerith died and he was in a coma state and Tifa helped him fix his memories.

I think it actually does. The real cloud is just too buried in Zack’s memories and the trauma so it’s brief but that might just be the case
Real Cloud comes out a lot of times, it's more noticeable during this and when he talks about the bridge incident with Tifa and during the dream date with Aerith

In rebirth roche gets even more enhancements most likely pushing him to 2nd class ranking and even then he still gets out classes by cloud with relative ease. Clouds not first class on paper but his abilities and strengths are definitely in 1st class ranking.

Not really. Cloud still thinks he was a SOLDIER in the mission. Not the grunt he was hiding away from everyone. He also lied about going to see his mother. Cloud had a mental breakdown after those events and he is having one again at the end of Rebirth. When Cloud has to deal with massive events in his life. He hides it all inside and makes stuff up in his head.

@@juliogomesdesouza9035it’s not so much as illusions as it is imprinting and mimicry, a lot of people think the personality Cloud has in FF7 is him mimicking Zack…..which is half true, the JENOVA cells in him not only used Zacks memories but what it gleaned from Tifa in the first encounter in Midgar when she found him suffering from Mako poisoning, you can tell because you see him have one of those large episodes where you can see him grab his head, his brain was literally being rewritten to find a way to fuse the memories of Zack that was copied onto him, with the perception of what Tifa would expect to see in a soldier 1st class cloud strife.
It’s kind of funny because in OG when Hojo said Cloud was a failed sephiroth clone that created a personality based on Tifas memory……he was absolutely right……he just did take into consideration of JENOVA making a caricature of 1st class cloud strife from Tifas memory of clouds personality and her own expectations……on Cloud strife

At the very end of the game Zack is trying to get back to aerith. He's not giving up even if aerith originally thinks she has to force herself to move on

If Zack and Cloud ever get to talk, Zack can officially make Cloud a Soldier and if Zack saw Cloud in action now Cloud would definitely be right there with Zack as Angeal was with Genesis and Sephiroth. The only other fighters that even come close are the Tsviets and Vincent.
They get like 5 seconds to talk before having to fight a thing. So part 3 hopefully they get some time in the lifestream

I think in some files Hojo experimented on him and found out his S cells just can’t corrupt him or something like that

But the narrative fact is that it’s because (no joke) he’s just built different (strong will and very little mental hang ups)
He has the S cells same as sephiroth and cloud but he just never got corrupted even after one ish year on the run with cloud all over the two continents
He even beat up Genesis so badly Genesis decided “Ayo maybe being a Soldier and having Honour isn’t so bad after all this guy is JACKED”
I think it’s that by the time he got corrupted he had more or less reached the end of his character arc, in that he knew how to be a hero (and more or less already knew he was one), so Jenova didn’t have a lot of things to latch on to and corrupt (because all his homies like him LMAO)
TLDR maybe second class Zack could have been corrupted, but not first class Chad Fair had been loved too much and had too much love to lose to Jenova
It’s in rebirth also btw; when Zack gets sent into the black portal after watching Sephiroth walk into the church, it’s EXACTLY set up like the scene as to how Cloud falls after the Airbuster fight (cloud’s true self talks to him there, but the sephiroth darkness takes over and it stops so Cloud can’t find his true self)

well, that big projection of Cloud spinning his head in a headache while Tifa fixing his memories is kinda funny. i wonder how the remake would portray this event.
@@Scatterbladesthat scene (where Tifa seems scared of something that we don’t see before she is inside Cloud’s mind) to me was a symbolism of her entering cloud’s mind. She says “Wait a minute. I know nothing of that!” and just starts running away while holding her head.
I interpreted this scene as her being “chased” by something (probably Sephiroth) before Cloud “saves her” by allowing her to enter his subconscious.
Is there really any truth to be revealed anymore though? They already spoiled it with Crisis Core Reunion, plus all the people who comment on these videos flat out spoiling the fact that Cloud was never a SOLDIER. There are unfortunately no secrets left in the remake saga at this point. I don't like the way Square Enix handled this even though I like the games.
If Cloud remembers everything before Sephiroth shows him the truth I think that could be pretty interesting though it would ruin Sephiroth's plan to get the black materia and be resurrected.
It's also clear to me that there's more than one Sephiroth in Remake, we have the OG that he faces in familiar locations but there's another one that he sees in "seven seconds 'til the end" and other weird moments like that.
A much more neutral Sephiroth who seems to have different, potentially less destructive plans, given the timeline nonsense I don't think it's crazy to think that there's a Sephiroth out there that either didn't go crazy or came to a different conclusion when he learned about Jenova.
All of this could have been avoided if Tifa just... wait a minute. Something seems awfully familiar about this.

I know some people may be very upset with me by this, but I've only seen the Final Fantasy 7 Advent childrens 2005 dvd movie as a child and grew to really like FF7 and Sephiroth and Cloud alot from there. I know the majority of the characters and like Zack, who I also like and others aswell but, is the storyline some what change.
I never ever played the game because I was never ever had the chance to ever attained any of the Finaly Fantasy games due to certain circumstances, but I seen videos and footage on youtube of crisis core and know little to the story. Is Rebirth's story an alternate interpretation of the original storyline?

then advent children complete 2009 (which was the directors cut )
theres also ever crisis which was a mobile phone game never played it doesnt seem to have much from iit anyway
the remake project is consisting of 3 game remake rebirth and whatever there gonna name the last one my geuss will be reunion
basicly what there doing is takeing the original source material of ff7 1997 and adapting to a modern audience while changing certain aspects of the story which will eventually lead to a different ending and also including elements character and story from the other titles above
in the original game 1997 cloud doesnt remember zack till a later point and under very different circumstances (im also trying to keep this spoiler free )
theres also a another scene that happens with tifa in the original game that in rebirth happens a bit differently
both scenes are going to have a very negative effect for cloud in the next game possibly although the ending of rebirth may negate that will just have to wait and see

I wish I could play Rebirth, but it's currently only for PS5😮💨! Welp, I guess, I have to save up for a PLAYSTATION 5. I currently have a PC&PS4 and I just finally got the chance to enjoy and play through FF7 CRISIS CORE REUNION yesterday! I'm thrilled but sadden knowing about what happens to Zack😔. But then again, this is why we love FINAL FANTASY💖 and their great characters and stories.

Cloud is the real hero. He beat Sephiroth 3 times. While Zack never beat him. He beat him in crisis core when he didn’t even have his SOLDIER abilities yet.
Zack's story paved the path for Cloud to become a hero. that's what his role is..

In the original game, the main role of Tifa was to help Cloud regaining his memories. If Cloud does that alone this time, then what will be Tifa's role in the next game?

Don't worry. The game ends with him hallucinating a lot of things, everything he "remembers" or "sees" is completely wrong and false, even relating to Aerith now in the remake trilogy. Tifa is still gonna be the one to save him and make him confront reality, because if the ending is anything to go by, Cloud is living in complete and utter delusion. He really does need to be saved by tifa.
Cloud should have recognized Zack's uniform. That's a 2nd class soldier uniform. Which means, Zack definitely has an important position on past Nibelheim.

Now that make sense it's confirm cloud know aerith because of zack, so everytime cloud interact with aerith thats was zack persuna not the real cloud, so i don't think aerith have deeper love for cloud than zack, she love cloud for a friend, same with cloud and she miss zack, that's what the meaning of conversations of zack and marlene, everything clear now, wonder if clerith realizes it 😊

stop painting aerith as terrible person for developing feelings for someone else after 5 freaking years of not hearing back from him. people talk about aerith like zack left one day and in the next day she was using another man as a rebound which is not what happened at all. she sent him 89 letters over the years and never got a response back so she eventually gave up and sent him one last goodbye letter and tried to move on with her life, as she should i mean it's not like she and zack were married... also she's not using cloud as a replacement for zack, she saw similarities between them at first which made her interested in cloud but then she eventually ended up developing feelings for cloud for who he is.
aerith weird when mention "about liking and liking" is refer to marlene and zack conversation, she knew that. she love cloud like marlene say, but she want zack alive. because "you were not there" as mention" zack is dead state from marlene, so she push cloud out from timeline and sephiroth arive at cruch. because zack will dead if cloud stay at crouch/timeline. aerith and zack maybe defeat sephiroth like advent children timeline when aerith walk out cruch and zack wait in that door.

Not really. New voice fit for Zack and also works very well for Cloud to imitate because of how similar their voices are.
With the old voice, both Zack and Cloud sounds so different that I don't think the Nibelheim flashback would work given that Cloud va sound nothing like Zack.
Can anybody help me understand? Bcs did not play original game back then. Did zack and aerith died in the original game and is there a scene about it? In ff7 remake are there scene or moment where zack and aerith should die like in the original game but didn't?
Zack died before the events of FF7, I don't want to give spoilers, but Cloud is directly connected to Zack.

Same. But did get context from watching clips so anyone more knowledgeable than I are free to expound further as I never played the original but did play Crisis Core (Zack's game) and watched Advent Children. Anyway....
Crisis Core is a prequel of FFVII. The Cloud you are probably aware of is the byproduct of Zack's death due to trauma as he died right before his very eyes. At first, he was trying to live as Zack's living legacy (often stated in the games) but as time goes on, he started to believe he was Zack, adapting some of his mannerisms while retaining some of his own. Not only that, but he believes himself to be a SOLDIER when he never actually became one.
As for Aerith, she did die by the hands of Sephiroth in the original game. I don't know the exact turn of events hence why I can't provide further details on this one.
Also yes, there are plenty of clips of these on CZcams so you can go and see it for yourself.

after the nibelheim incident Zack and cloud were captured and experimented on for a couple years. Zack managed to escape and drag a half conscious cloud with him. while on the run Zack was gunned down by a bunch of shinra troops. as Zack was bleeding out cloud crawled over to him and Zack passed on the buster sword. a couple months after Zack died the events of the OG FF7 take place. about halfway through the OG game sephiroth stabs aerith through the back.
