4:45 This reaction is pretty much mine as well. That "loser" saved many lives, including Cloud's and Tifa's. Zack is literally the unsung hero of Final Fantasy VII. Not to mention he was Cloud's best friend, even though Cloud's memory was fuzzy. Even so, one should never diss a guy in front of his own house and his lady love.
A sure way to make Aerith angry is to insult Zack. That girl is so head over heels in love with him that she refuses to believe that he died, she rather wants to believe her fake story where Zack ran away with another woman because even the idea of Zack being dead hurts her too much.

So Cloud is somehow acting like Zack (being a soldier) and some Zack's memories (nibelheim) replaced Cloud's memories resulting Cloud having fake memories obviously. He forgot Zack so he wasn't aware too. Am I wrong? Pls tell me if I'm missing something too, thanks

I really don't like the treatment of Zack in the new games. Cloud thinks he's who Zack was and Aerith gravitates towards Cloud because of that. Then for them to both act this way makes them pretty unlikeable. Cloud at least has the excuse that his mind is very broken.
in aerith's mind she thinks zack basically left her in the cold. she doesn't know what actually happened to him and she sent him letters over the years and never got a response back which made her give up on trying to reach out to him and only then she decided to move on. also she initially grativated towards cloud bc of his similarities with zack but then she eventually developed feelings for cloud regardless, she likes cloud for who he is. some people push the narrative that "she's only using cloud as a replacemen for zack" to paint her in a bad light but that's not true at all, she still likes cloud regardless of zack.
@@ugh5281 in these new games it is made pretty clear she knows what already happened in the original FF7. Which makes every interaction with Cloud even more messed up.
