    Just started playing this game and your vids have helped me grasp some of the more complex areas of the game (like the ghosts guys). Thanks a lot man!

      I'm delighted to hear that. Hopefully you're enjoying the plays. If you have any questions, throw them into a comment on one of the videos and I should see it and answer for you :)

    My favorite combo: copy Saar's Floating Factory II and Muaat's Magmus Reactor to get a Space Dock into a supernova. Then, copy any other two faction technologies. You now have a production 2 space dock inside a supernova that no one can touch (except Muaat). The best part? You can still move produced units out of the supernova, because the rules only prohibit ships from entering a supernova, not leaving or existing in a supernova!

    • @RulebreakerBoardgames
      @RulebreakerBoardgames  Před 3 lety +3

      That is some serious sneaky strategising right there!

    • @normative
      @normative Před 3 lety +7

      You wouldn’t be able to copy two other techs though. LRR 79.19: If Nekro loses floating factory, their space docks must immediately attach to a planet the player controls in the same system or be destroyed.

    Letani2 and Yin Spinner is a nice one i haven´t thought about yet! :D
    I think you misunderstood Valkyrie Particle Weave. It only works if your opponent produces one or more hits, then you get one hit back on his groundforces. In addition to your own hits.

  • @perryhermanson5897
    @perryhermanson5897 Před 3 lety +8

    My understanding is Valkarie Particle Weave only applies to a round of ground combat and couldn't be used with flagship for space combat bonus.

    Hum , after little self brainstorming, i came with Production Biomes (Hacan) + Mirror computing (mentak) , 8 ressources/influence for 1 strategy token Oo.
    Also Impulse Core (Yin) + Salvage Operations (Mentak), sacrifice a ship and if u win u can rebuild it.
    Finnally with the extension coming , i have E-Res Siphon + Voidwatch (Empyrean): someone activate ur system, juicy trade goods with a prommisory note on top ^^

  • @drewpacabra
    @drewpacabra Před 3 lety +2

    With POK get Crimson Legion 2 from Mahact and agree to have infantry bloodbaths on a planet close to both of your production centers - you will both get a ton of trade goods from the fights. Extra bonus if you can get Mirror Computing from Mentak to double resources gained from trade goods. Then you park your infantry (Hit on a 7) and flagship with a carrier or two on Mecatol Rex, and no one should be able to get you off.

    Hello. 1:30 Where does it say that Nekro has to lose one of its own unites during combat, in order to activate tech singularity? Isn't destroying one of the opponent's units enough?

    • @DavidHansen92
      @DavidHansen92 Před 3 lety +4

      I heard that to. I think it was a misspeak as he mentioned the opposite in a prior video. I think he meant to say you just have to take out one enemy unite during combat to activate tech singularity.

    @UnreasonableOpinions Před rokem

    Crimson Legionnaire II from the Mahact is almost as incredible as Letani Warrior II. Your forces now have a 100% recycle rate and can give you a Trade Good when they die, so you actively profit from your infantry dying - and if your opponents are foolish enough to let you get a production unit like Floating Factory II or Letani Warrior II you can immediately replenish your frontline when units die. This also turns your Flagship into a nightmare since even if they do kill it, you already have a planetful of infantry to load back on when you rebuild.

    Darken The Sky = Carrier and Infantry from the Sol Player with your flagship

  • @Camtrain1989
    @Camtrain1989 Před 3 lety

    A note on Naalu hybrid crystal fighters that I think you'll enjoy.
    They don't need to be transported. And they'll count as half of your fleet pool. Get a fleet pool of 4 or 6 (works best with an even number) and, let's say you have Sol carrier, do the following...
    Fleet pool 6:
    1 x Flagship
    1 x Carrier
    6 x Infantry
    15 x fighters (5*2 for the fleet pool remaining and an extra 5 for the carrier and flagship remaining cap)
    Now go into a combat and use the Nekro infantry as hybrid crystal fighters 2 and you'll be swinging in with 18 fighters and a carrier, plus some infantry if you win the combat to land on the planet for giggles.
    Situational, it's a great strike force to soften a system up before a big punch but the added infantry makes it a viable "hit and hold" for denying a Mecatol point, or a crucial system for your own purposes. Couple this with warfare and you can have a LOT of fun!
    How do I know this? I did it last weekend... 😬 Except my fleet pool was 8...
    So I was swinging in with Flagship/Sol Carrier plus some Fighter 2s (they weren't Naalu) and it was just silly strong, if I'd been able to combo with Naalu fighters it would have been pure punishment

      @@RulebreakerBoardgames saturn engine with floating factory is pretty horrifying too.for the price of a dread you have 4 capacity, roll 2 on a 6, and soak 4 hits, then immediately rebuild.
      I won't say it's particularly strong compared to other techs like saturn engine, but the titan pds is a ground unit so it can join space battles under the alastor.
