- Bass fishing with lures on the Menai Straits in North Wales. I went out with bass guide Terry Wax using topwater lures at night. What an amazing experience and something completely different to anything i've done before on this channel. I enjoyed it so much i'm going to start doing a fair bit more bass fishing this year! I couldn't recommend Terry enough, he's very knowledgable, knows bass fishing in north wales like the back of his hand and is an all really nice guy. If you get a trip booked with him I guarantee you'll have a great time. Believe it or not, he often goes out with clients and catches fish after fish, and they get a lot bigger than this. You'll get plenty of tips on how to catch bass on lures too!

Nice fish. Definitely support you not promoting quiet bass marks on the internet. Finding the fish is the main skill, but more importantly keeping the quiet marks off social media is respectful to the locals.
Thanks mate, I agree. especially as it's not my spot, i dont mind showing people where i fish if i've done the work to find the locations myself but never if it's someones livelihood!
One of the most stunning places I have fished , me and my mate are off there Tuesday after bass on lures must be exciting to go after them in the night, good luck on your next session bud

Just watching this again haha,,I'm heading down there for a couple of days,, hoping get lucky and catch my first bass,,with the Mrs so can't fish all day and night hahaha

I am staying in Wales on the Menai Straits for my 30 birthday in August for a week. I have always wanted to catch a Bass its always been my dream to get one. I have been struggling all my life to get a bass hopefully this year on the 29 of August for my birthday. I can get just one bass .
I hope you get one mate! If you get a trip with Terry sorted it's very likely
Google Earth and an OS map find some likely looking ground and walk the coastal path at low tide mark them on the OS map

@@adventurefishinguk I know, you're right not to expose his mark. It just would have been nice to see such a gorgeous area. If you get the chance to film another session on a different part of the strait, it would be great.

I've recently began spinning, I've got 25lb braided line but it keeps getting knotted. Do you have any tips to prevent this? Also nice videos 😎
Thanks mate! I'm not too sure to be honest, maybe your spool could be overfilled with line. Wind knots can happen to everyone, maybe try and slow your line down a bit with your fingers just before it lands after a cast to stop there being too much slack!
