  • Hi all 😊.....
    This is my first attempt at detailing and also using a larger mould than my usual ones. I miscounted the mirrors in the video, 1 was hiding so there are 6 in the kit. I'm also aware I said Mica wrong! hahaha, anyway.....
    The mould was origionally designed and created by Anahita and Bradley @ resinqueenshop and is a collaboration with Let's Resin, their Insta link is below:
    resinqueenshop?...
    Here is a link to their Etsy store, howerever, this mould is only sold via the Let's Resin store (link further down). But they have many other great moulds, go check them out!

    A big thank you to them and also to Let's Resin for the great support.

    Awww....we love your accent almost as much as your work, Daniel! I was thinking perhaps UV resin in those shallow spots would also work well, and you wouldn't have to worry about it setting up before you're ready. You are a smart man to do this piece the way your bride to be wants! The whole piece is just lovely. I have sent you a little more money. (not enough for a honeymoon, but oh well) You are loosening up and displaying your humor now, which is wonderful! I find myself hilarious, so there's that. lol) Have a wonderful wedding, and give your bride a kiss from your fake granny in Texas!

    And, now, for the video. I LOVE this beautiful mirror casting! ❤ It's so, so pretty! The leaves are perfect (great choice of mica powder) and what a genius way to do it! 👍😊 I'll bet she loves it!

      Thank you so much, always so kind. I think, as CZcams was still new to me, the automated captions made me a little worried that the algorithm couldn't understand me 😂, now, I'm much better and take it with a pinch of salt. You wouldn't believe some of the auto caption sentences I have had to correct 😂. White can often Lynn be confused with "Wife" and you can imagine when it comes to dropping my sinker! 😂🤣

    Love watching you and another awesome piece 👌 . If I may suggest for things that have etching I would highly recommend for sanity 🤪 using just plain acrylic paint or acrylic markers , just paint it on leave for say half an hour and just use a damp cloth to wipe off . Really doesn’t matter if you go over the edges it all wipes off and you can use any colour you like saves the pain staking job of popping resin in all those finicky bits . It looks gorgeous thought 💗 Xx

    Danny: is The 1:1 Of Let's Resin" does it work for you? meaning how long is it take to harden besides the 7-days I've encountered and can still dig my fingernail and will dent but will self heal but the point of most resins is to be Rock Solis yes? i ask you cuz you used this stuff mostly. One of the reasons I pick it up saw on ur video but for me not working takes too long to harden, and in parts it is flexible, I don't get that part makes no sense will harden somewhat and other parts are flexible. I know it's not my mixing or ratios, and or I let it sit for 5-6 minutes scrap, bottom sides, uses digital scales, and old fashion way by measuring cups and using a Leveler, make sure surface it straight across and the temps are adequate. I haven't encountered this issues with Azamzing Clear cast, just the strong order, which was one of the reason want to try "Let's Resin", also many say the same, so I wonder but daniel uses this resin and makes the most stunning pieces, I just wonder so wanted to ask whats ur take on this Brand of resin? excuse the long comment just covering all bases hope to really hear ur reason given ur magnífico Skills with the nice feathering effects.

      So sorry I missed your comment, I just left the bottle needle down then squeezed the remaining resin into a mould (can be cut up and used another time) I then added maybe 3 or 4 drops of alcohol into the bottle and shook for a min. Then made sure the needle was left clean. The rest, I just left to dry in the bottle, I will reuse with a similar colour again 😊

    • @daniel..cooper
      @daniel..cooper  Před 3 lety

      Yes, you can cut it up and use it again. Some people use bad pieces to bulk out other projects. Especially in pyramids. Similar way of using Epsom salts. I haven't made one yet as I haven't enough bad items to chop up yet.
