Puppy LGD training
Pygmy Harbor Farm is in Knoxville, Tennessee USA. We raise registered Pygmy Goats and AKC Great Pyrenees. We also have an apiary, chickens, peach trees, flower and vegetable gardens. Our videos are about the various things that go on at the farm.

Great Pyrenees are nocturnal, so they're commonly confused as super sleepy/lazy/chill... but it's a much different story at night. They're instinct is to protect the herd overnight.
And chicken are similar as they are in every game

i have so much admiration for animals who use gentle communication like that with small or baby animals, often other species' babies. a little deterrent and discipline is only fair when the baby is bothering the poor animal. but i love when they do it so proportionately, all soft and understanding like that. just "no no honey, run along now"

@@BELIEVER78989 these dogs are purposefully being raised with the birds and goats. The are known flock and livestock protectors. Generally the only kill drive they have is to anything that threatens their herds. A lab might be a different story as those are "bird dogs" and are trained to go get a bird.

This is an example of my perfect life-goats, dogs, chickens, grass, birds, sun...perfect. I grew up this way (minus the goats) and have been trying to get back there for so long. Thanks for posting! 🥰

I've watched this 4 times in a row. Just too much cuteness to see at once. The goats, what can you say about bouncing baby goats ?? Adorable! Puppies? Especially when they're learning to watch the other animals...smart and too cute. Throw in the chickens doing there thing ,while everyone else is living happy lives !? I used to have a bull, a goat and, a rooster that would hang out together. Interesting trio they were.

In a sense nothing happens and in another sense one of my all time favourite videos I've seen on CZcams.
I had a Pyrenees and called her big girl and I loved that dog. She was protective of not only our animals but ourselves as well. You just can’t beat these dogs for protection and love. BTW , you have a beautiful place and thanks for a wonderful video.

Impressed with puppy, Mama Goat comes out snuffing at him, he just meekly lays down then gets out of sight. And doesn’t ever chase the little buggers even though he has no one else to play with!

The puppy does not want to play, it wants to keep them in the same place. Those dogs don't play. They protect, wohmever they deem to be part of their herd.
If not in contact with animals but as a pet, they will consider their herd the humans around them and be very protective. We had one of them, as a pet, and while i was playfully chaising my girlfriend around, he got between us because thought she was in distress. 120 pounds of pure muscle fleeching his teeth at you is kinda scary.
But also got in front of me to protect me from his own sister, when she was out of line. Very fierce and loyal animals. Sadly he passed 6 years ago.

He’d just lie next to me and watch over me; it’s been 17 years now, and sadly, all I can remember of him now was pictures of him....but I know I remember when he needed to be put to sleep. I think it was him or the two cats we had who went first, but I remember asking my dad not to take them away, because I knew they wouldn’t come back....we mourned our animals

Love your video! Great Pyrenees truly are amazing livestock guardians! We love our 4 Great Pyrenees. They keep our goats, chickens and pigs well protected.
Mama goat had to give puppy a quick lesson in manners there, and puppy took it like a doll. Mama dog obviously trusts mama goat, because she didn't even move a whisker about it. She was just like "yeah, manners are important."
I didn't realize how itty bitty those goats were until the chickens walked by!

Our two little Nigerian dwarf Nannies (does) had FIVE BABY GOATS between them almost 2 wks ago!!! I haven't had baby goats since I was a kid myself.... I"M SO HAPPY with them!! Our baby goats have 5 different patterns/colors and ALL HAVE BLUE EYES!!
