It's worth noting (since it is this weeks theme) that this is the last track on that album, so that final snare crack signifies the ending of the entire thing. The previous 2 red sparrowes albums are concept albums, and you can get an idea of what they are about by just reading the insanely long song titles. This one has much shorter song titles though, and I'm not sure if it's meant to be a singular concept.

Every Red Heart Shines Towards the Red Sun….such an amazing album. Might be their first, I don’t recall.

It's not their first, but that'd be an amazing album to do a whole reaction to.

Funny coincidence. Yesterday I went through my album list, looking for songs that fit this week's theme. I found this song and thought what a fitting title it would be. It is the last song of a really good album, ("The Fear Is Excruciating, But Therein Lies The Answer"), has the feel of a closer and is also appropriately named.
Today it comes up as a special selection.
The song makes me think of an aftermath of something, remembering what happened, struggling with it at first but ultimately accepting it, moving forward and putting an (abrupt) end to useless thoughts about the past. I liked the forest picture, you brought up.
The whole album "makes you feel a way". I'm going to listen to it again after this reaction. Thanks.

This album's (The Fear Is Excruciating, but Therein Lies the Answer) track titles form a verse that reads "Truths arise in illusions of order. A Hail of bombs giving birth to imagined saviors. A swarm in every mind. A mutiny, as each end looms and subsides."
There is a video of a live performance of this on CZcams. Not the best camera work, but you can see how it is performed.

Remember listening to these guys around the same time I found Isis and Pelican as they were another popular band in that post-rock/metal genre. I don't remember a ton now as it's been years, but I remember really enjoying the combination of atmospheric and heavy elements of all these bands at the time. Despite the critical acclaim, I do know they weren't around very long. Just three albums IIRC and none since '10. Hearing this now I can both appreciate what I enjoyed back then but also understand why it hasn't really stuck in my mind, because this mostly mood music without many hooks to make it extremely memorable.

Another amazing post rock band is, if these trees could talk.

Haunting beautiful unsettling comforting chilling. Gives similar vibes as the music used in the movie ‘28 Days Later’. Cool🌿🎃

Please react to “Rise to Glory” by Earth. I think you will really dig it.

This whole album is really good. Very similar to Explosions In The Sky, but Red Sparowes has a much darker and ominous feeling
