    I would love to see you guys offer new 5.9 12v long blocks or complete create engines. Definitely interested in that.

      Pretty sure you can use the D&J short block..? It would be an upgrade compared to the old 5.9 blocks also because the commonrail block gets rid of the thin block early cummin's issues 😀 don't quote me but the block should work, you will have to use the 12v pistons though i think :) happy building ❤️

    One thing I love about my 04 haha no emissions crap in the way of hp haha just had to swap an 06 ecm in it and some wiring and I can now use efi with switch on the fly tuning 😀 that's the one downfall to the 03-04 ram trucks is you can't use a 5 position tune of the fly switch 😞

    Really awesome to see how the experience you both have had gone into these builds. Cool to see the difference between a solid build for a tow/street set up versus a more aggressive street/ripper type truck. But I know Josh will still hook the gooseneck up to the 07 if needed.

    The issue with the 14mm pump is the modded regulator it causes surges but if you use a stock cummins one in the 14mm pump it gets rid of the surge

    Hey I was thinking a while back Todd you were talking about Val Springs in one of your tutorials and a real heavy valve spring high-pressure spring is hard on the block I got to thinking why not you can put cambering bushings all through the air all the way down why not do diamond light coating on the cam bushings and on the journal of the cams I think that would help this is six in a row jim from Kennerdell Pennsylvania

    You've been talking about piston bowl shape vs. Power on fuel only, what are the power digits between a wide flat bowl vs a narrow deep bowl? We're doing tractor pulling and all we care about is power, nothing else.
    Thanks for answering, great content, take care, Greetings from Germany!

  • @jimmungai1938

    Is there any chance that a guy could get the diamond light coating on the bearing surfaces in the or I should say were the camera aids in the block and then the cam journals itself why couldn’t you do that anyhow that would help your make your block last longer because you’re running pretty high spring pressure I would help this is six in a row jim again

  • @tylertruitt377
    @tylertruitt377 Před 4 dny

    how much tq can you give an aftermarket cast piston in a 6.7, like fingers or mahle? they say forged pistons don't last very long in diesels, we've never had a issue with LS gas v8 forged pistons lasting, but diesels are a different animal. I was told on forged pistons, the steel top ring eats the piston in 20k-40k miles.

    • @pddofficial
      @pddofficial  Před dnem +1

      Due to the soot load, diesels are stuck with keystone top rings to clear out the soot, but keystone rings are hard on the aluminum ring lands in forged pistons.
      Factory cast 6.7 pistons are generally good to around 1500-1800hp. Many people have pushed them further, including Chris Patterson who has pushed them to 3000hp.

    I wish a guy could get the second ring as a step ring you don’t have an a gap all right I mean you still have your end clearance but one ring one into the ring steps over the other that really helps with blow by and it makes your engine more efficient goddamn if we could just get people to start making them Charlton Albert well now Ackerly and Albert he just won’t make them and I don’t know if his partners run out and probably has I would imagine someone else can start making them anyway this is six and a row jim I’m trying to build my engine get it as much horsepower as I can without adding lots of fuel trying to do it through efficiency and deathly gonna do an upgrade on my HX 35 and anyways I wanna put a butter turbo on there I already have a 4 inch exhaust I don’t have a 4 inch downpipe that’s next anyway hey you guys do good you’re really good for the industry and I like the idea that you try to keep them clean OK have a good day be safe out there guys
