These gnomes look so funny! They're very cute too. I love the way you made it look so easy. I guess they certainly are and I'm going to be attempting it maybe in a couple of days. Thank you for explaining the hot press paper. I never knew the picking up the pigment works so well on hot press. I always got hard drying lines so I stopped using it. I will try it again now.

I had fun doing these..my beard didn’t turn out too bad…not as nice as yours but definitely not horrible. I always wondered what the difference between hot and cold press was… not that I have any hot press but I wondered.

Hi Ellen, how often do you suggest someone changes their brushes..as in when would you say a brush is past it for watercolour but could still be used say for acrylic? I have changed my CZcams name so you won’t know that I have been following you for maybe a year or so and I noticed the point had gone on your no 8…you mentioned you have a new one..was it the lack of point that made you invest in a new one?

Can I used my acrylics for watercolor
My friend and I tried Stonehenge watercolor paper and had horrible experiences. It falls apart with very little water. Hate the stuff. Cute gnomes!
