Once VLine VL2 is installed and connected into your vehicle's OEM stereo and display system, you will get the following functionality:

I really want to buy this beast. Question. Im using ipod all the time. When you go to vline app, you choose the ipod app. Can i still use my ipod wired through factory usb spot?

On 2008 Lexus GS it is not possible unfortunately.
Does the Vline have an internal battery? It seems like it is on all the time. I know the usb from the radio is hot all the time so I also wonder how much power the Vline draws when the car is off. I would also like to know is there any way the bottom screen can show song info instead of “usb streaming”? That way, the song info will also show on the speedometer display.
The VLine goes to full sleep after 20 minutes the car is off, it should not draw the battery. For Honda/Acura cars which also have a right mirror camera (LaneWatch) is there also a cable tap for it?
LaneWatch will keep working as it always does, vLine VL2 system does not affect any factory features.

Hello, thank you for your interest in GROM VLine VL2 system. VLine will disable factory USB iPod port in your vehicle, as it takes over of this mode. You can use the iPod with the USB in VLine itself. You can also retain the factory USB port to be used for VLine CarPlay or iPod connection, with the USB retention cable.

Great vid, thanks. What was the purpose of removing the driver side lower dash portions? It seems like those could have stayed in place.
That is our installer preference.
On the RLX, no need to remove that and the camera tap wire is purple not orange.

@@chillil321 how’s the unit been so far? I’m thinking of getting for my Acura but heard there were some bugs/glitches
@@pauls106 All was well until the July 9th update. It reboots partially within 5 mins of starting my drive. Only once then its ok for the rest of the drive. Grom is responsive however and they are working on a fix. Before July 9th, It was working great with the typical glitches you would get with any cellphone. Very infrequent and easy to deal with when they happen. Usually for me the glitch is its slow to connect to carplay wirelessly sometimes.
I want to upgrade this with my 2014 Honda Accord touring, but I haven’t seen any tutorial or demo of how it looks on their car. I’m probably assuming not a lot of people have that model year 🤕

is it possible to route the vline display to the touch screen instead of the top screen? so I could use the touch screen? accord exl 2014
No it connects to the top screen. However the VLine VL2 system works perfectly fine with the knob control, and also some stereo buttons for quick functions.

so when you change the audio source to FM at 19:45 and pull up CarPlay screen. Will the audio from CarPlay of Google Navigation still be audiable from cars speakers?
You need to be in GROM VLine mode to hear the audio from CarPlay or Google Navigation.

CarPlay is wireless, it is also available via USB. Android Auto is currently available via USB only.
