In this video, we show the installation of the GROM VLine VL2 system for CarPlay Android Auto integration into the factory stereos of Lexus LS 460 600h 2013-2017. The stereo must have factory navigation to be compatible with the GROM VLine VL2 system LEX78VL2.

Can the Vline VL2 be set to go directly to Apple Carplay after hitting Disc/AUX button without going to the Android interface first and having to select Carplay on the Android home screen?

Yes, it will connect automatically to CarPlay and CarPlay will pop-up once you enter the vehicle. You will need to do the initial connection one time, and after that everything will work automatically.

Yes, we made the USB connector out. You can also connect the smartphone wireless for CarPlay and Android Auto.
