      @1018miamidrive Except luxury cars by nature are not great values
      You are far better off..if value your main concern...with a Toyota Avalon
      Otherwise people just buy what excites them after a certain price point...and the 100K + plus class of buyer seems to love the Mercedes S class sedan

    His comment at @ 1:20 regarding the mouse or as Lexus calls it the "Navigation Remote Touch Controller" causing him to "overshoot" can be adjusted via the menu "set up" screen, under "General" and then "Feedback Force." There are 5 feedback positions to choose from when adjusting the feel of the mouse control. He was most likely on the factory default setting which is a little over sensitive.

    Mr Cooley you really know your stuff . There is an Active Roll Stabilization (ARS) option on the 750i which also includes M Sport Package but the only worthwhile upgrades it offers is 20in wheels , paddle shifters lol and it will still wont compete with the LS F sport. This LS is an amazing value compared to the germans .

  • @llr5444

    The non F Sport LS460L would be my choice. A comparison between this and the German uber sedsans in the class in reference to their performance cars (the sport versions of the BMW, Audi, and MB, not the M, AMG, and S derivatives) I think that the LS does not compare. But as far as the luxury quotation goes, it's up there. As Mr. Cooley stated, a heck of a bargain. “When the AMG car pulls up next to you at a light, wave him on.” LOL! So true!

  • @Price1906

      Because other manufacturers are using gimmicky new models every few years were as Toyota does not do this. And this is one of the reason why Toyota are so cheap but yet so durable.

  • @Daniel_Capital
    @Daniel_Capital Před 8 měsíci

    Surprised Cooley was so misinformed, the F-Sport is just a cosmetic trim, isn't a performance like M or AMG. It's exactly like a base S class or 7 series with "M trim" or "AMG-line," which is only sporty wheels and minor cosmetic badges and details, in this case a mesh front grille

  • @Price1906
    @Price1906 Před 11 lety

    I was hoping for better looking rear and side panels. I was hoping for a better mpg. But I knew the price would increase. The interior looks great. Not too fund of the exterior/mpg/price. The 2014 S-Class is months away. Not sure yet which way I will go. The Equus looks cheap, the 7-Series design is getting old, the Panamera needs body upgrades, and the Jaguar needs a better warranty-like 10year/100,000

    Erm I dont' think there is any out of place for having message seat in a normal sedan, as the person who could afford a LS would definitely treats his rear passengers nicely. I oppress my idea cause I really want that function in my current LS460 (2006) ;)))) definatly thinking of getting this as my next upgrade.

      @bighands69 Před 9 lety

      *****
      What works and does not break down is what Toyota uses.
      Lexus by right should cost the consumer twice that price but because of the Toyota manufacturing system they can bring the cost right down and that also includes keep certain standards such as the engine.
      99.99% of people who buy these cars are not after a racing car they want luxury and power even though there are more powerful cars out there.

    I think this car is just like a Audi with S trim or BMW with M trim. it doesn't want to play with the same league as AMG or S8. They'll have to make a LS-F for that lol. Because the fact Lexus didn't do anything fancy to the engine, means this is just a flagship sedan with more sport intention to it, like what Brian mentioned.

  • @bmwmsport11
    @bmwmsport11 Před 11 lety +1

    Lexus will hold its value over time. try finding a 2010 Lexus LS460 for under $40,000.
    also, for the same price? the base S350(3.5L V6) is like $94,000 with delivery. the base LS460 is something like $74,000 out the door. even loaded up, the LS still cost less.
    if you didnt know, the S-Class is the worst valued luxury car you can buy. the Jaguar XJL, BMW 750Li, Audi A8L, and LS460L all cost less than the base model S350...
    you can find a S65 AMG(225k new, TT V12) for 160k. 1yr old, 2k miles.

    Why doesn't Brian Cooley talk to the camera anymore? The video is more relaxed without him sitting there talking to the viewer about all of the little features he likes and does not like. This car looks very nice, but I really don't think it's intending to compete with Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG or BMW Alpina B7. This F Sport is just like a touring trim level for Lexus like it is on the RX350.

    If you realize that these premium cars are targeted towards people who 100k is not a significant portion of their wealth. As a result, making an extra 20k or whatever from having it invested won't make a difference. Lots of people on 60k office salaries finance these because they cannot afford to do so otherwise. Those people cannot afford these vehicles, and shouldn't buy.
