**Updates and Amendments**
If I accidentally got anything wrong, missed out on anything, or anything new happens, I’ll leave it all below.
1)The original moderators of the r/animaljam subreddit (before geoz, or ajc’s takeover) were largely hostile and defensive towards people who questioned their actions, it wasn’t just slight or perceived. (I likely missed this due to only being on r/animaljam briefly before it was privated.)
u/softie2822 made an entire alt account to harass skeptical users who were utilizing an alternate subreddit, and went on to continue with their main when the alt was banned.
Another moderator, u/LevelsofConcern had a breakdown in one of the alt subreddit mod’s dms after they were denied moderator status in the alternative subreddit, going as far as to harass them and trauma dump in said dms as a response.
While they may have been emotionally compromised due to the pressure of the situation, their reactions and behaviors were harmful, spiteful and absolutely unacceptable.
2)For clarification, Bnuy WAS 16 at the time of the inappropriate relationship, but MET Aster at 15. In the comments of their original post, Zombnuy replies to comments referring to the age gap as being 18 and 15, correcting it as 18 and 16. Will add screenshots of this to the below doc after work.

I am not sure if this is an update / if I missed it in the vid, but the original r/animaljam subreddit has been privated and a few community members decided to create r/AJPW so people could view important information that's now inaccessible on the OG sub.
PatchtheAlpha made a post about it on r/AnimalJam and 10 minutes after it got removed for causing conflict and they were permanently banned, I messaged them about it and they gave me the screenshots but after a couple days they were banned from Reddit I think

I cant the post in instagram again but I recently saw one about aster grooming somebody else when they were 17 but I do not remember the victims age since I can’t find the post. But it said that they were banned from the server for “bringing outside conflict into the server” and their situation was being downplayed because they were both technically minors. If i find the post again I’ll reply to this reply with the link

Wildworks not only failed in looking at the past actions and behaviors of Asteralium, but failed the community as a whole. They put so many children at risk and they NEED to speak up about what has happened in any sort of way. More measures need to be taken to ensure the safety of their minor audience, and I am greatly disappointed by the ignorance of the people who decided to let this person join the program, as Asters past was clearly known. With current and past members of the Jambassador program speaking out on the horror of this all, it really paints a light into the true depths of not only the Animal Jam community, but so many more. I also fully believe now that the Jambassador program shouldve been more stricter in age requirements. Having very young teens apart of this program just set them up to be at risk, and I hope for the future that will be changed to make sure nothing like this can happen again.If any adult is making you uncomfortable or saying things such as Asteralium did, please reach out to someone so nothing can escalate to the points it did here.

You should be ashamed for allowing this person to be apart of the program, game, etc. Take a stand and acknowledge what you did and issue an apology to the victim for your ignorance.

I am so very sorry you had to go through such horrible treatment. No amount of words can express the disgust and anger I have at Asteralium, but the company who allowed them to have great influence on the community. Please take care of yourself, so many people stand by your side and support you.

As a grown woman who plays animal jam I find child predators disgusting and should never be allowed on public games likes this, as a 25 year old woman who plays Animal Jam for fun and art inspiration (and collecting rare items) I want to be that motherly sister that folks can go to when needing help with something or just to chat and have fun.

The game Animal Jam is said to be child-friendly, being child friendly isn't JUST being positive and making the game fun, being child-friendly also means keeping kids and teenagers safe; AJHQ has clearly failed to do that. Its still wild that AJHQ made a dangerous jammer a representative of their game.
the fact that the victim was 15 originally when they met is terrifying. i also think it's important to keep in mind that even if they didn't have such a concerning age gap it still would've been grooming and abuse due to the massive power imbalance, which is something people often ignore when discussing cases of grooming.

I am myself a victim of grooming and seeing a Jambassador being a groomer really freaked me out because this is supposed to be a safe space for minors.
When I was 13 I joined the r/animaljam discord and got banned from there just because I was being groomed and I was posting things I shouldn't in my Google+ profile. Nobody understood my situation until this mod named Nathan came to tell me that Aster was talking shit behind my back and not giving any sort of sympathy towards me, a groomed child.
Honestly I hope she learns from this and doesn't mess with kids again because this is disgusting.

Absolutely appalled and disgusted with Asteralium’s behavior, as well as Wildworks for allowing someone like this on the Jambassador team when they had the complete capability to perform a background check given the individual’s past behavior on Fer.al, a game where many people thought that Aster’s ban was unwarranted (I myself used to think so back in 2021, and am absolutely dumbfounded upon learning this information three years later). The amount of high positions this individual carried and the people involved in helping with their projects and vice versa is absolutely sickening. I have so much to say about this situation, but it’s too much for a single CZcams comment. So my focus will be towards the victim and holding Wildworks accountable. I wish nothing but healing for the victim and that anyone who has ever had involvement with Aster gets justice and closure. I also hope a lesson is learned by the community and company from something like this, even if it may be wishful thinking.
As for Wildworks, let this be a lesson to you on what happens when you don’t thoroughly background check the individuals you decide to recruit to be apart of your Jambassador team. We can point fingers all we’d like at individuals who associated with Aster, but at the end of the day, no one truly could’ve known because unlike Wildworks, it’s not like anyone had the access to all of the logs and proof to verify that this individual was unfit to be in this community at all. Right now our focus should be making sure that the victim is okay and continuing to spread awareness. Not pointing fingers at people who either didn’t know or were caught up in all the lies and manipulation from Aster.
I’m genuinely sick and tired of hearing the gaslighting that “Wildworks knows what is true or not” and all that garbage. Wake up, people. Companies can lie and be corrupt. Have we learned nothing from Cinder, Hyenine, and all the past controversies? I continue to be reminded of why I disassociated with this company years ago, and I only wish I had never been involved with them in the first place. AJ moderation needs to change, asap. I'm not surprised with how AJHQ has dealt with this. They never seem to take action when a player shows predatory behaviour. I've reported players countless times for gross behaviour, and then reached out to AJHQ when I've seen that nothing has happened. They always tell me to report the player in game and that the moderation will take care of it, even though I've already been reporting the player for months. AJHQ has repeatedly done nothing when groomers are reported, even when AJHQ is shown solid proof of their behaviour. I hope big changes come soon.

I skipped parts of the video but this hurts, first because of the whole club geoz being deleted thing, since that was the only discord server i was in that was AJ related, but much more so because I seem to remember seeing aster in game on several occasions. It's scary to think about just what was going on behind a cute fluffy avatar in a game.
Please remember to keep yourselves safe, not just kids, teens and teenagers, but adults too. It's a scary world.
I'm so torn on AJ, I love the game itself, it's given me something to do during the day and i feel like a kid again waiting for thrill and excitement of a new update to finally drop in the game. I don't feel like there's really any game like this, being an MMO where you get to play and, perhaps even more importantly, learn about all these animals, including ones that (for example the opossum) might not get much spotlight.
But on the other hand, the company itself, really concerns me. I know we kinda joke like "haha, imma throw a wishing coin because i have a problem" but there's no escaping the fact that wishing coins (along with some other things) are literally gambling in a kids game, as well as the whole Cinder disaster.
You think all that is bad, and then you have situations like this that blow all the other problems out of the water. Yikes.
AJHQ's negligence is insane. My head is spinning over this. The fact that they were banned from feral for inappropriate behavior and Wildworks probably had records of all that, and they still became a jambassador is draining to know. The fact that two jambassadors told AJHQ and rather then take action, the team remained passive and allowed Aster to decide on their own to drop out of the program just proves that they support creeps as long as it's not effecting their revenue and wider perception. This "if it's not on the game, we didn't see it" thing they have going on is really messed up, but even then- lots of inappropriate conversations happen on both their games and people bypass the filters just for fun now with no consequences. It's sad. It's really making everyone question if they even want to play or make content related to the game anymore.

havent watched the video yet but thank you so much for covering this- I saw another smaller creator post about this earlier today and was appalled at what I had learned but I dont have a platform to pass it along. It's crazy to think someone I knew and interacted with during my feral days was someone like this, it makes me rethink every interaction I ever had with them- and im glad that someone with a larger platform was able to get this information and spread it in order to keep others safe-
to add- I was around when they were banned from the feral discord- and THEY told US it was something they had done IN GAME- I never would have thought it would have been something like this, it just hurts my soul a little to know that I could have known about this sooner but I didn't and stuck around them for way longer than I should have
Also something I wanna talk about is how AJ jambassodors like wisteria, skorm, aparri, bepper, etc. posting multiple yes, multiple videos… of fake “I have an AJ crush” or”I have an AJ boyfriend/girlfriend” or even “I got married on AJ”. Why does no one talk about these videos and what it’s doing to children who watch it especially since they’re jambassodors “technically” going against animals jams TOS… Again, these videos are all for laughs. but some people actually want boyfriend/girlfriends on AJ literally because of these videos. People look up to people like wisteriamoon, aparri, bepper etc. and will think it’s ok to actually do this in game and that there’d be no risk involved in fact, just go look at the wolf cave guarantee you you’ll find someone wanting a AJ boyfriend/girlfriend.
Not only that but, aparri said in one of skorms videos titled “I confessed my love to bepper” where aparri actually says that he genuinely liked wisteria💀 No jokes… he actually meant it.💀Not sure if he still does but, again it’s telling children that it’s ok to be in a relationship with someone on AJ sure it’d probably be fine but, there’s still a bunch of people in the game who actively - - - - - - children on animal jam…😭

It's like they dont take these situations seriously at all, and yeah they *definitely* need to have better communication. The fact that Aster's previous ban slipped under AJHQ's radar when she was promoted Jambassador is unbelievable. The fact a KIDS game is moderated this badly when it comes to predators??? Jesus Christ.
I've been a victim myself years ago on a different game, and am incredibly disappointed in the way AJHQ has handled these typa situations. I may be an adult now but even i myself am starting to feel a bit unsafe and uneasy now after these situations

i was banned for saying it was weird for aster to be friends with a 15 year old, as a 22 year old. and it was really weird that she gave this minor "favoritism" in club geoz, and how she talked about vore, inflation kinks. we all got banned, just to find out a month later we were all right, and aster was very open about her past i don't know why she was let to have a huge community of minors, there was definitely several minors in club geoz that have not come forward she was really weird with several
I was in r/animal jam when the whole thing started there. 3 separate posts were made by 3 friends announcing that they were leaving the sub and why. They were immediately banned and their posts were removed. Just a few minutes after that the entire sub got privated. Aster tried so hard to hide what she'd done. Softie's also deleted her main Reddit account now.

The worst part is, the younger jammers are supposed to look up to jambassadors. the predator might tell the victim that their actions are ok, and they'll believe that because thry know they can trust them.
In the 2000's i (a child) was was groomed i was 10/11 i met "a friend" online whom lied about his age (he said that he was 12/13) and we talked to eachother nothing really romantic happened but he was an adult one day he confessed that he was 30 i was remember STILL A CHILD and i felt a bit uncomfortable and told my mother about it suprise suprise she was shocked even though he possibly wasn't a groomer even though i wasnt hurt and i just felt a bit uncomfortable he still tried to befriend A CHILD

Man I wish there was a separate game for people over the age of 18 for animal jam, like a kids version and an adult version. But then again it wouldn’t stop predators to lie about their age. It’s disgusting and disturbing this has happened yet again. Animal jam needs to do searches on the people they choose for jammbassador, to make sure they’re safe for the CHILD community. ESPECIALLY because of the amount of groomers that is on this game and countless victims. Giving them access to a fan base of CHILDREN is something you cannot sugar coat, or sweep under the rug. This mistake has been made too many times on animal jam and is disappointing to see wild works as a company not being able to keep the children of the fan base safe….

Absolutely abhorrent and disgusting, and i couldn't definitely tell by your changes of tone how upset you were at this and i 100% agree. As someone who is uncomfortable with physical contact (especially from family members on just in general relationships with assorted people) the fact that they were denied that boundary is horrid. I wish them the best because this situation is severe and deserves to be spoken up about.

Animal Jams Moderators should do background checks when selecting new Ambassadors so this doesn’t happen again.

As a minor myself, this situation is absolutely horrifying. Animal jam HQ is such a bad Organisation in this aspect, because they have been proved several times to let this slide, this is beyond belief. We can’t just sit here and ignore this situation which I’m glad you made a video about. Any normal Organisation would be checking Every single records they have of this specific player, including in other branches of the Organisation or a different game associated with the company (like fer.al) not AJHQ, letting this slide. This is the worst case of S/A and Gr@@ming that’s ever been on the animal jam community. What makes me even more Angry about this, is this fact that Asteralium spoke to me in a way that was Angry, Aggressive and not any way you should be speaking to a minor which was at the start of April, it didn’t involve any Sexual nature but I found it aggressive and rude considering this person was an ambassador.

As for me I have it but barely go on it so if you didn't post this I would've never known. AJHQ should've taken accountability for this case immediately yet they didn't, which is really sad and disappointing. I don't play aj anymore but I still watch your videos. It's sad to hear stories like this. I haven't been a victim but my friends had told me about their stories and I feel horrible for them, as I feel horrible for the victim in this. Behaviour like this is unacceptable, and It’s unfortunate that people such as Asteralium get promoted as a jambassador, yet many of the actually good members of the Animal Jam community don’t. As a “retired” member of the community, mainly the only time I revisit anything Animal Jam related is when bad news is publicized, which occurs more often than it should. Seeing this is incredibly disheartening.
Unfortunately, I was a victim of grooming and manipulation as a child and was exposed through the Animal Jam community. That being said, I idolized the original team of Jambassadors beyond belief.
The amount of influence that these individuals have over a child audience is often overlooked. Maybe the idolization mindset is different nowadays, I wouldn’t know, but regardless, this is absolutely disgusting and horrific to see.
This is what occurs when horrendous people fall under the radar and a company- whether intentional or not- adopts a sense of negligence.
I’m not in the community anymore, but to those who are- please keep yourselves safe, and if you are NOT a minor, serve as a stable, levelheaded figure of safety and keep your distance from the younger audience that composes the rest of your community. It is your given responsibility as an adult.
Stay safe and make smart choices.

I’m in a relatively small community- MagiQuest. She was a member of this community, a big one at that. She was a big contributor to the wiki. MagiQuest is a IN PERSON GAME. WITH CHILDREN PLAYING. This is why they met up at a great wolf lodge🤢 she was even in the server, I’ve had full blown conversations with her before….

It’s so gross. One time when I was very young people were saying inappropriate stuff on aj. They were 2 foxes and THEY DID IT IN PUBLIC IN THE SAPPHIRE SHOP. Everyone was saying to stop and that they don’t want to see it but all they said was “no~” LIKE WHAT?! ITS DISGUSTING!

Good god. As a minor I worked somewhat closely with Aster on an AJ minecraft project of mine for months. Really disturbing to think that at any point I may have been in danger.

I was previous a r/playferal mod after aster stepped down, I believed what aster was telling me. I'm no longer assoicated with the fer.al community outside of fer.gration. I went by OutsideMelon45 in the past, now I go by my current user. Kinda scary they're still on my friends list

As poorly as the situation was handled, the ONLY people at fault are AJHQ and Asteralium. I think you do very well to emphasize that point and I’m glad that you highlight how groomers manipulate others into believing them.

sigh this makes me sad to see yet again AJHQ’s complete failure to handle situations like this seriously. i’ve been playing classic and pw since i was a child and to now be an adult and see the game becoming increasingly unsafe for kids because of stuff like this really sucks. my heart goes out to the victim, i wish them the best in recovering from this awful situation. thank you for spreading awareness. i don’t keep up with animal jam stuff on instagram so if it weren’t for this video i would’ve had no idea about this otherwise
I really wouldnt have know if it werent for this video, even having Instagram, spreading important information and news on multiple platforms is crucial if anyone wants the whole community to know about something.

How could people be so horrible? How hard is it for people not to groom? This whole situation makes me sick to my stomach :(
Ok let me say one thing first. I am 11 and I know I shouldn't have seen this but, theese kind of things should not happen. Things like this are inappropriate. Animal jam is a child's game and Astrelium should never have been accepted as a jambassador. I think they should never have done any of this. And working in Disney park??? This person must be stopped.
situations like these are so incredibly sad to me. if wildworks would put more effort into protecting those on their platform, a lot of examples of creepy people could be avoided, though, some would unfortunately still slip. people make me sick sometimes.

Animal jam has been prone to this nasty behavior since like 2015 which is just… crazy!… That’s almost 10 years ago yet this is still an ongoing disgusting problem in the AJ community… I’ve dealt with a lot of people on AJ that either had a AJ crush or even has one now… Almost everyone in my pack has a crush on someone even AJ content creators with over 250+ subscribers and is known in the community, Now sometimes people like to ship or joke about crushes but, some are actually serious.
It’s sad to know that I at least know 10+ people who have had or has an AJ crush maybe even a boyfriend/girlfriend which could not be mentally healthy… again, some people joke about having a crush on AJ but, some are actually serious “relationships” and while most people in AJ won’t date, make disgusting comments and jokes, or even flirt with each other it’s still a problem in Animal Jam and probably almost every online game that has chatting abilities like Roblox, Animal jam, etc.
Another thing I wanna talk about is how AJ jambassodors disgust me like wisteria, storm, aparri, bepper, etc. By posting multiple videos of “I have an AJ crush” or”I have an AJ boyfriend/girlfriend” or even “I got married on AJ”. Why does no one talk about these videos and what it’s doing to children who watch it especially since they’re jambassodors going against animals jams TOS… Again, these videos are all for laughs but some people want a boyfriend/girlfriend on AJ literally because of these videos. People look up to people like wisteriamoon, aparri, bepper etc. and will think it’s ok to actually do this in game and that there’d be no risk involved in fact, just go look at the wolf cave guarantee you you’ll find someone wanting a AJ boyfriend/girlfriend.
Not only that but, aparri said in one of skorms videos titled “I confessed my love to bepper” where aparri actually says that he genuinely liked wisteria💀 No jokes… he actually meant it.💀Not sure if he still does but, again it’s telling children that it’s ok to be in a relationship with someone on AJ sure it’d probably be fine but, there’s still a bunch of people in the game who actively ***** children on animal jam…😭

I am SO VERY DISGUSTED by the fact that someone on animal jam archives, a helpful thing for animal jam creators and artists, has behaved and acted in such a way.
It is OVERLY, OVERLY, disappointing, frustrating, AND COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE that AJHQ has overlooked this issue, and put SO very many people at risk. It was overly ignorant, overly unsafe, and needed to be managed better. Thank you so very much for helping others become educated on this. It is so important that players are safe.

Yup. I knew something was off while in Club Geoz. I was told by an ex-moderator that they knew of Asteraliums vore and inflation f*tish in late 2023. There is absolutely NO. WAY. that the mods hadnt known about Asters past. Shed openly discuss her fetishes in mod chat. She also had a very weird friendship with a 15 year old, from what I observed she always asked to call him, play games one on one with him, etc. Now that isnt inappropriate in itself, but why does a 20+ year old need to be close friends with a minor? And also, i had been BANNED for talking about Asteralium being a pedophile/saying she made me uncomfortable in dms with my friends. I even defended Aster when my (now ex) friend made a joke about her being a r*pist. Im honestly astonished about how all of this was handled.
