What is the small hole on top of the valve cover, just to the front right of the spark plug please? Should I be blocking this hole when I wash the bike? Your help is very much appreciated, thank you.

Could you provide valve clearance specs from the service manual or link to the service manual download?

Is that discoloration on the right side of the cranks normal?😊

What type of rider level rode this bike? I’m a front pack “c class rider” local level, not too hard on the bike and just wanna know when I should do a rebuild. Currently at 38 hrs and see this one was done at 54 hrs. So just trying to use the is as a general gauge.

This is ridden by a B rider who is always on it, rev limiter a lot. My bike got it’s first top end rebuild at 93 hours and still showed no signs of anything wrong, which has also been ridden with high rpm’s. Pay attention to how your bike runs and do a leak down test if you can, that can help gauge what your engines like on the inside

@@MotoJerg44 awesome, thanks for the reply man. Yeah I have the same bike as the guy who did his rebuild in the video, bike is still running extremely good, pretty much how it did off the show room. Haven’t really noticed much decrease in engine performance or any odd ticking sounds. I do all my maintenance probably a little more often than I should but I like keeping things all good so I don’t have to worry about the big stuff as often, I’m thinking from what you said I’ll probably do It around the 60-70 hour mark then. My previous yz had 117 hrs on it before I sold it and it was definitely of need of a rebuild 😂 so I think so where in the middle would be sufficient. Thanks for the info dude. Video quality was also awesome. Thanks 🙏

Thank you man, I appreciate the support. I’ve taken very good care of my bike as far as oil changes, valve inspections, air filters etc. and I can almost guarantee that’s why the engine is in such good shape and 100+ hours now. Your bike should be fine if you keep up on the smaller maintenance

@@MotoJerg44 hey man, following up on this comment cuz I figured it would be the best place to reach you, I’m in the process of ordering myself a top end kit so I have it when I need it and I have the piston it’s self and all the rings and such but I can’t find anyplace that has a gasket kit for my bike (same as in video) do you happen to know what company he got his gasket kit from or if its oem? Cuz my local dealer says kawi doesn’t make any for them to sell… thanks in advance

    • @MotoJerg44

So he said to check Rocky Mountain and Motorsport, he also said you have to buy the gaskets individually if you go OEM, it doesn’t come as a kit
