Well done sir, most randos cannot interpret the build. Showed enough to put me in the right path. Wanted a cargo idea, for a nice keg runner or beach runner.
Your design flows with the bikes frame nicely, looks like the factory should build this, I think my design would have the seat lowered to just above the hub, no put down on your design, I love it, I want to steal it..!
It'd drive me nuts to lean to the side the whole time. The ball bearing thing was genius to mate tubes and end tubes! Funny starts in yard then builds in full steel warehouse ;) with the Boss's approval
Super legit! Do you think the Harbor Freight $100 tube bender could get these kind of curves? I've never thought about bending tube before but your build is inspiring. Love the track too. I listened to this album a lot when I was a kid in the 80s and it brought be right back there as soon as soon as I heard the intro. Thanks for sharing, great project!
Thanks for watching , don't waste your money on a tube bender you can bend it around a tree or cut a piece of 3/4" plywood to the shape you want , the tubing was 3/4" bends real easy
Thanks for the super fast reply! Did you use EMT conduit? I learned to braze on EMT conduit making bike trailer years ago. Had to spend a bunch of time sanding off the zinc coating but once the metal was clean it brazed well. I'd probably MIG or TIG it this time around though, way cleaner and faster. Looking forward to more videos for you! Thanks again!
thats awesome when I have kids ill be building them all kinds of stuff like this you need to oder 2 electric wheels off Amazon with battery packs and wire it up to where pedaling is only when you run put of juice
Thanks for watching ! love the bat wings on the steampunk bike. something i learned the hard way is the bike should tilt 3 degrees away from the sidecar, make it alot easier to peddle the bike.
@@Jbutbe That tilt you mention will do as you say as to the lean/alignment working well, but it will also save on your tire thread over time, as well. Having driven a Ural sidecar rig for years, it is always a good idea to know such and make use of it. Nice video and great thrill for the kids. I was thinking about doing a trailer for my electric bike and then adding a 55 gal. plastic drum to the trailer to house my dogs like a sidecar. My dogs grew up in my sidecar rig and I love having them as I ride. The hoop-style body you made could also be done about a drum as I am going to use and support it well as well as have some unique style. Probably less weight than a trailer rig when completed, as well. Too bad you don't have clam shells and rigged like a regular Ural sidecar is. That would likely be easier to adjust in the long run, but more cost and assembly to initially do such.
Very nice bike build, in my opinion it would be even better With some Electric porpultion. For this would be ideal solution for days With ice on the road, as it increase stability.
A good idea but too many steps left out and skills like welding are needed. Something that can be fixed with a drill, angle grinder, nuts, washers and bolts would be doable for DIY-ers
Третье колесо чуть вперед должно быть, тогда и радиус поворота уменьшается и устойчивость лучше. Тем более оно не ведущее, Мотоцикл с коляской как пример.
My cost was about $50 dollars for paint , new tire, rim and tube . Bike was free and cart was free Actual cost could be as much as $400-$500 New Bike $200 Cart $100 1/2" pipe $40 Paint 3 cans $15 Sheet Metal $20 labor for welding and bending ? $100
Well done. Beautiful build, lovely finishing. That’s a multi-generation keeper, friend.
You did an awesome job both building and documenting it in camera. Thanks for the video 💯

Beautiful build! Comfy ride and great use of old bike parts.

3/4" black schd 40 from Home Depot
Nicely done brother, I'm sure it's worthy.I want to do something like this. 👍
Looks good but I expect it is not lightweight - a good candidate for an E wheel boost.
I make these for a living.. exellent build, my friend!
How much do you charge to built one
Just brilliant.

We love it!! We just finished a steampunk sidecar, thanks for the video we enjoyed it.

I'm kinda learning the same thing. And making some adjustments. . . . and maybe I'll make another one. Love the way yours came out-great job

Bewrfl bro 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Very cool!
Cool enough, maybe a mudguard to keep sensitive little fingers away from that nasty old tyre?
totally agree --- protect those cute little fingers!
and other body parts from rocks, etc
great job!
Really awsome bro. Very very TiGhT....
did you make coil seat spring ? or buy it where from ? im make a trailer like use speing like that on the wheels
i made it , it is 1" x 3/4" bent in the shape of a U . I cut a 6" pipe 3/4" wide and put it in the center so it doesn't bend down to far,
Love it.
You are a good man
This is rockstar cool!
