    I took delivery of white on white LR model 3 two weeks ago and tbh I much prefer the look of the car with aero wheel covers on than off. Plus the extra range it gives makes it a no brainier to me so it’s a win win, but each to their own! Great videos, keep it up :)

      I don’t think it’s available for us through the company scheme, but to be honest I also don’t think we’d get it anyways. In the UK, the road markings can be quite inconsistent, especially in the countryside, and I think the technology is still a while away from comfortably handling a roundabout. In short, not on this Tesla!

      I believe I got the rim protectors from Abstract Ocean or Teptas.

    • @TheMasterBrothers
      @TheMasterBrothers  Před 3 lety

      Good question, unfortunately it's hard to tell without actually testing them. The aero wheel covers don't actually cover the rim of the alloy (the rims stick out a little bit, hence why there's a lot of Teslas with damage on them), but it might be a bit risky as it's a pretty close fit.

      @@asharak84 I had this with the last one. Don't give up. If they break they break. It's just plastic. Without it's looking incredible. I wanted to buy 3rd party rims before, but the Aeros without caps are looking great.

    • @asharak84
      @asharak84 Před 3 lety +1

      @@haselhofler Got it! Eventually stuck a pair of packing straps round behind the cover, looped round two of the plastic 'spokes' each. They slid in far enough they were able to exert significant force on the centre attachment, which combined with cardboard keeping all the spoke clips free allowed me to pull it off. Even so, it was remarkably resistant! As it came free I snapped one packing strap (oops). Still, good to finally have it off :D

    This video really helped me find what I was looking for. I have a question: I noticed on the white model Y, the alloy wheels look a light colored silver. But, on your midnight silver model Y, the alloy wheels under the Aerocaps looks a little darker. Is that true? Or are the alloy wheels all the same color/shade regardless of the vehicle's color? Thank you very much!

    • @TheMasterBrothers
      @TheMasterBrothers  Před 3 lety

      Thanks! That’s a good question, unfortunately we haven’t seen any Model Y’s as they aren’t available in the UK yet. Ours is a Model 3, and I’m pretty sure all of the Aero Wheels are the same underneath regardless of colour. The Model Y does seem to have a lighter coloured alloy underneath, and I imagine that would be standard across the different paint colours as well but you’d have to check with a dealer! :)
