I was at this game!! I was 9 years old I guess. When the Rangers got to 25 or so a couple guys behind us made a bet that the Rangers would get to 30 and I'll never forget looking back after 30 to see bro hand over a couple hundos LOL
OMG I've wanted to watch this game for YEARS! Thanks for posting it!
The only team since 1897 to score 30 runs in one game. Historic. Thank you so much!
And it could have been far worse
The O's had a 3-0 lead in this game, which makes the final score even funnier.
Blowing a multi run lead is one thing, but blowing a multi run lead and then allowing the most runs ever in a MLB game is an entire thing altogether.
and to think this was game 1 of a *DOUBLE-HEADER*
30 +9 = 39
Thank you for posting this, an all time Rangers classic!!!
Finally the Rangers' side of MLB history. I recommend watching the full innings in real-time, but bookmarks if you're in a hurry:

2:46:33 All the fans talking on flip phones sharing the history they just saw (the iPhone had only been released two months earlier)
Thanks for the details
Goat comment ty
One of the best come behind wins!
All the people in the crowd on their flip phones once the score hits 30 is amazing.
Finally the Rangers broadcast. This footage is almost always the Orioles broadcast.
that sounds so depressing the announcers must have been miserable.
The commentary is actually quite professional for a massacre (on Baltimore's end).
Thank you for uploading this, im surprised the MLB channel hasnt uploaded this classic game yet.
It’s favoring the rangers. Of course they haven’t lol
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! Other than the Pudge Rodriguez debut game, this was high on my Rangers games want list.
My favorite part is the away fans cheering when they got to 30. Damn right. :) When are you going to see that live?
1976 the rangers beat the O'S 26 to 7 in Arlington
Thank you so much 👍 I been looking for this for so many years, this is great 👍 thanks!!!
16:43 - Josh mentions they would be broadcasting that game from the stands (?!) so now I am really curious if anyone has footage of that game (8/29/07). The Rangers did something similar last year where they broadcasted from center field in a pair of weekend games vs. Cleveland
It's the fact that their own fans were cheering when the Rangers scored 😂
I don't think I have ever seen so many balls magically find gaps and holes like that.
Will Littleton got a save in this one lol
and we only did it in 6 innings wow.
This was the best graphics
What’s more embarrassing is the fact the Orioles LED the first 3 innings 😅
Rangers commentator Tom Grieve made his big league debut in the 1970 season on the Washington Senators team forty miles further down the parkway from Baltimore. Play-by-play caller Josh Lewin previously had done radio work (non-play-by-play) for the flagship station in Baltimore.
1:22:57 "hit it over the bud light sign", 1:23:33 "there she goes towards the bud light sign" 😂😂
Josh Lewin gotta come back to announcing games.
He announces for UCLA.
2:40:14 fan wearing a authentic replica of a hall of famer and Baltimore sports icon #19 Johnny Unitas jersey. The disastrous first-and-only-year 1952 NFL Dallas Texans had same blue-and-white colors when team moved the following year to Baltimore (1953).
This is awesome! Do you have the lesser known 2005 Rangers 18-3 game over the Astros?
No, we do not.
How about the very first game between the Rangers and Astros back in 2001?!
Also no.
@@ThisIsWhereYouFindBaseball @Gregory Dvorocsik Sometime during the middle 1990s the Rangers won a home game in The Ballpark at Arlington over Baltimore with the final score 26-7.
1:39:40 the woman doing the interviewing on the Baltimore regional sports cable network is Amber Theoharis.
That’s a lot of touchdowns! How many of those were 2 pointers and how many were 3 pointers? What a match, I love cricket 😁 /s
2:02:12 John Witt, Zack Hample before he was famous
He looks so different!
58:21 trivia answer Julio Franco. Early on in the pros Franco was with the Phillies A-level Carolina Lea. team in 1979 playing in road gms. at Alexandria, Va. while just five miles away was R.F.K. Stadium in Washington, D.C. where Franco would still be playing big league ball with the New York Mets sometime in 2005 to 2006 when big league team went home to D.C. again.
I wonder what the score would have been, if the left field wall was configured like it is today.
Rangers don't have much to celebrate in their history, but this game is surely one of them!
Uh, 2023 is calling... it's saying that the Rangers have a World Series title to celebrate about now
I know nothing about Baseball, but the fact that someone in this game was awarded a 'save' is baffling.
You have to be winning by no more than 3 runs for it to be a save situation. The announcers were just having fun
@@warrenkemmer1307Not necessarily, if you pitch the final 3+ innings of a game with a lead and don’t surrender it, you get credited with a save
If you aren't the winning pitcher, come in with a lead, pitch 3 innings and don't surrender it, you get a save, no matter the length of the lead.
Do you have the one where Benji Molina hitting the cycle at Boston?
We do not. But MLB does on its CZcams site: czcams.com/video/SS16L24oXI8/video.html
Wish they had the Texas broadcast of it. I remember watching that game. Lewin and Grieve were joking that Molina was a triple away from the cycle
@@Charlie-gk1uq Pigs have flown over Boston!
Do you have any Devil Rays versus the Orioles game?
Are you looking for one in particular? If you're seeking one since 2009, MLB has put them up on CZcams, and you can easily search them from the instructions found on the About section of this page.

Any games from 1998-2007 Orioles versus Devil Rays?
It may have been during the very first road series in Baltimore for the expansion 1998 Devil Rays or shortly after that they won a series sweep in Baltimore. Other than a couple of postseason blips in 2012 and 2014 and token wild-card appearance in 2016, it's been all downhill in Baltimore.

Hoy es 8/22/2022 se cumple 15 anos de este gran juegazo nunca olvidare ese dia .........THANK YOU BROTHER
2:22:19 The Rangers were so hot, they even got a hit in the commercial break!
Dave trembley tyrn the orioles around 😂😂😂 they had 4 more losing seasons after this although 2011 ended good with buck turning things around and finally the 2012 orioles won 93 games and a few playoff games. There were some dark years for orioles fans
