I remember watching this game on TV -- I fell asleep on the couch when it was 5-3 and when I woke up it was 24-3. I thought I was tripping.
Lol
Dud I was tripping and fell asleep and woke up and said " sh1t life is like a trip".
backspace4353 im dead
Zach Good same dude it still hasnt registered that they scored 30 and im in 2017. Half the line-up isn't in the majors anymore
That Germany Brazil World Cup match, I went to take a shit, fell asleep on the toilet forabout 10 min (no joke I have a bad habit of chilling on the can) and the score was 5-0
I love how this is technically a comeback win
The Rangers' relief pitcher earned a save as well - because he did three innings of work (even though he entered the game at 14-3)
@@magpieram It would have been pretty bad if he blew that save lol
And Texas rallies back to edge out a very close 30-3 victory
Kinda like the Texan vs Chiefs NFL game from this year.
Technically a "Comeback"
@@magpieram Incorrect. If the lead is over 3 runs, you don't get credited with a save. Trust me.
Some interesting facts about this game.
1: All 30 runs were earned
2: The Rangers used 2 pitchers
3: The 2nd Pitcher, Wes Littleton earned a save as he wasn't the winning pitcher and pitched the last 3 innings
4: This was the 1st game of a single admission doubleheader. The Rangers came from behind to win game 2, 9-7. That game took longer than this one.
5: Numbers 8 & 9 in the Rangers order had 14 RBIs
6: Every Rangers hitter got a hit
7: The Rangers lineup as a whole had a batting average over .500
8: The Rangers used 1 pinch hitter, he hit the 2nd Grand Slam.
9: The Orioles didn't get an out at first the entire game.
That’s incredible. #’s 5&8 are insane. #4 is hilarious.
#9 is one of the craziest stats I've ever heard. Throw a sinker
Pinch hit grand slams are rare
And remind me how tatis hitting a grandslam was against the “unwritten rules” lmaooo gtfo
How dare he play baseball! :D
I don't understand why he got flak for it. He's an inspiration for the next generation of ballplayers
I never cared for this "rule". If you get a hittable pitch, you're going to swing at it.
If you got real passion for baseball you’re gonna bomb a 3-0 pitch with the bases loaded obviously the rangers were salty pricks grown men crying like little girls
@@cavemanrissy4801 well they're getting intense karma for it. Losing 6 in a row
i heard somebody tried to put this video up on pornhub but they dont allow rape.

No, when your 6 and your dad lets you win a baseball game
Imagine playing for Baltimore, being up by 3, then losing by 27 runs
And then after this historic shelling, turning around, and immediately playing another game
Or having money on them.
Markakis helped contribute to one of the Orioles' 3 runs that game. He's still in the league...imagine the nightmares he got from that game
@@BGYMix Markakis retired today
@@abrahamterry9445 I heard the news

30-3 would be a blowout even in NFL Football! LOL
And now they just beat the Yankees by 13 💀
30-3 is a blowout in _football_, let alone baseball.
This is like the Dallas Cowboys & Baltimore Ravens in NFL Football-30-3 in baseball? Can you believe this?
the score would be 210-21..ouch
Unionk1ng X Ravens blew a 21-0 lead😂😂😂
If I said Texas beat Baltimore 30-3 in August almost everybody would assume football I would reply nope. Baseball
Born 4/20 Live and Die by 4/20
Falcons blew a 28-3 Lead
Imagine players in other games glancing at the out of town scoreboard like "...What?"
LOL
A few scoreboard operators were fired that day, only to be hired back the next day with a raise and a formal apology letter from the owner!
Good one, richie bitchie!
They'd probably just assume that there's a mistake.
Lol
“There is a silent terror in baseball. One that has never come to pass in the real world, but we might encounter it in the virtual realm. The terror is this: there is no guarantee that a baseball game will ever end. There’s no clock, it’s absolutely possible for a pitcher to be so ineffective that outs are never recorded, and the game marches on, locked in a death spiral until the end of time.”
-Jon Bois
Just wait until Manfred changes it; man only cares about trading the soul of baseball for marketability and profit
It could be worse: the original game didn't end until one team scored 21 runs!
"there's no clock" did not age well
Look, I think the rangers might have broken the "unwritten rule".
yep, pitchers are babies.
they should write them fuckers down if they're so important
As a rangers fan I don’t care that tatis swung on 3-0
Lol yeah
Yep
I'm sure all 10 people in the crowd were really upset.
I believe that was the first game of a doubleheader so of course the attendance would be bad since the originally schedule date was cancelled. Plus we average more fans for a weekday game than your Rays do on weekends. So...
Noah Penrod Dude that's awesome. Good for you.
failtolawl Oh yes, I was very upset

As an added bonus, one of the Rangers' relief pitchers got credited with a save.
xof49 ^hahahaha that was a good one.
Yup so they put on their x10 multiplier

@@zeroinifnite5730 yes they did

Its amazing that the Rangers didn't score until the 4th inning and ended up with 30 runs
WesleyAPEX and they only scored in four of their nine innings.
merope alcyone or that it was still a 5-3 game in the 6th
It's also amazing that the starter had a bad outing but not one where he put the game out of reach. Daniel Cabrera gave up 6 runs in 5 innings plus...a 3-run homer in the top of the 6th knocked him out of the game.
It's amazing as well, as the Rangers were 55-70 when they won this game.
And this was only the first game of a double header btw. Lol
Some say they're still scoring to this day.
lol nice
The legends are true
LOL!
Hahaha best comment

This was actually the first game of a double-header. Rangers won second game as well, 9-7. So for the day it was rangers 39, Orioles 10
Jeez. Imagine getting torched 30-3 and then having to play another game lol
You mean the Cowboys and the Ravens.
@Jonathan Hughes I'm guessing they didn't have much in the bullpen for the 2nd game lol
Rip that pitchers ERA
lmao
They only used 4 pitchers too. Those guys' era's are through the roof
It probably went from like 3.52 to like 20.28 😂😂😂😂😂
0 to 100 real quick
Brian Burres in particular. Remember, this was the first game of a doubleheader.
4:33 You know things are going your way when you walk on a 1-0 count.
Lol

Obi-Wan Kenobi both are accepted spellings...
The rangers can just choose how many runs they want to score??? Dang, might become a Rangers fan now.
Damn they were down 3-0.......so this is the greatest comeback of all time? Hahahaha
soccerlover1598 The most impossible comeback to blow at least
Dem0litionB1rD I think if they had Tanner Scheppers back then come on it would have been 30-29
@crysisxforce u watchin the yankees destroy the rangers too?
Nadeshit I couldn't take it, So I came here to drown the pain.
soccerlover1598 they could have been down 29-0 and won
It's would have been crazy if someone left to do something knowing the Os had a 3 run lead only to come back later to see it 30 to 3
that's what i was thinking... i would be in complete disbelief.
+xrandyj51x Kinda the same for me. I was watching as a Ranger's fan and saw it was 0-3 in the 5th so I switched to some movie and came back an hour or so later and saw it was 27-4.
+Expansion of Dongs You mean 27 to 3?
***** Hmm... true. I initially saw his username as "Expansion of *Bongs*" which also could explain it.
+Riffelj You're high my friend
Love how the Baltimore Crowd was cheering for the Rangers at the end.
This was a Historic game, just like when a pitcher throw a no-hitter
at that point, might as well cheer on something historic taking place like 30 runs being scored in a single game... even if it's your team getting their teeth kicked in.
And on the anniversary of this night, the O's set a league record for most HRs given up in a single season. I don't know what's worse, this team or the city they play in. Conglaturations Baltimore!
Definitely Baltimore, the team occasionally wins
So did the Orioles score 28 in the bottom of the ninth for a comeback win?
of course not
Yes they did.

I never noticed this until now, the Baltimore fans are clapping lmao
They are probably Rangers fans. Since the Orioles haven't been fielding a winning team most of the crowds are of the opposing team. Camden Yards is the Red Sox and Yankees second stadium.
@@CasiodorusRex I have to respectfully disagree with you here. If you notice, the fans were not cheering or clapping at all when the rangers scored 15 runs but they clapped more and more once they reached 20 because of the sheer magnitude of the performance.

I've got familiar with Baseball like just a month or two ago. It isn't being played almost at all in my country... I guess mostly because I live in Europe. I would like to play some baseball but sadly there isn't a field in my town :)
I don't know anything about the teams playing in the MLB but I sure do enjoy watching a good game, no matter who's playing :)
As I said I learned the basic rules of the game not more than a couple of months ago. Baseball is much more complicated than most of the people think. Love it! It's beautiful and entertaining game :)
Sorry for my English, it's not my native language :))

RIP pitcher's era
Brian Burres - 2/3 IP, 8 ER. Just for that one game, that comes out to a 108 ERA. Yes, _one hundred eight_.
Talk about having to take one for the team. The Orioles had to save pitchers for the nightcap.
Giga Luzky lol that just killed me!! I am laughing so hard right now
Rob Bell - 1.1 IP, 7 ER
Paul Shuey - 2 IP, 9 ER
Burres at the very least had some company...
@@matrixphijr Its funny. Burres finished with a 5.95 ERA that year. The next season the Os were so starved for pitching that they made him a starter and finished 7-10 with a 6.08 ERA lmao

Zlatan Does Games You must be fun at parties
My prom was supposed to be at raven's stadium but it got moved because of it
I love how the Orioles continued to use actual relief pitchers the whole game.
They had to, this was game one of a single admission doubleheader, so after getting destroyed, the O’s had to go right back out and play the team that had just destroyed them
The manager didnt even use that many relievers because of the doubleheader
Pretty sure if they used a position player this wouldn’t have happened cus you know baseball works like that.
that is so funny... "maybe this pitcher will pull us back into it"

The Rangers scored 20 runs with 2 outs.
And all 30 runs in 4 innings. Amazing feat, may never be duplicated, even if someone DID hit 30 again.

Why did the announcer change the pronunciation of Saltalamacchia halfway through?
I was thinking the exact same thing.
That inning went on for so long that maybe he forgot it was the same guy.
Because Alzheimer's set in around the 5th inning, that game was so long.

I was at this game with my mom and brother. We sat behind the Rangers dugout. It is absolutely true that we Orioles fans were cheering for the Rangers to get to 30 runs. It was so absurd, that all we could do was laugh.
I gotta say much respect to the Orioles fans who stayed that whole game. You guys are the definition of die hard
This was the first game of a single admission double header, they stayed to see the 2nd game.
30 unanswered runs...
This was game 1 of a doubleheader, the Rangers won the 2nd game 9-7 all the runs the Rangers scored, were earned. Ouch
2007 was a year to forget for Orioles fans....3 reasons why:
1: Mother's day miracle, where the Red Sox scored 6 runs in the 9th to beat the Orioles at Fenway Park in May
2: Rangers scoring 30 runs against Baltimore in August
3: Clay Buchholz throws a no hitter against the Orioles in September.
Don't forget 69-93 and 4th place in the division...

When bae says, "If you don't comeback, I get to look through your phone."
The crazy thing is that once they hit about 15, they were holding holding up runners that could've scored out of respect. You can see Kinsler at one point hold up his hand to stop the guy behind him. They were basically just going station to station and still scored 30.
And at 4:48 honestly kinsler scores on this single easy imo. Got the speed to easily score and still holds at 3rd

New drinking game. Take a shot every time you hear, "Base hit."
How to become an alcoholic in 2 easy steps
Even if you can hold your liquor, you'd be passed in a pool of vomit midway through the 4th.
29 shots. RIP.
Chance Hornsey or “drops in for a base hit”
DuramaxRepublic
That has “base hit” in the sentence...
I was there.... one of the most memorable days of my childhood
Braves 29 marlins 9
Brewers 19 tigers 0
Giants 23 rockiest 3
2020 is weird
Rockies actually scored 5
If the 30 runs weren't strange enough, some pitcher by the name of Wes Littleton actually got a Save in this game. That's right, the Save rule reads if a pitcher goes the last 3 innings regardless of how big the lead is he gets a Save. Littleton, who had a very short career, pitched the last 3 innings of scoreless relief and got the save. And to add fuel to the fire, this was only game 1 of a doubleheader. In game 2, Texas defeated Baltimore 9-7. Thus, the Orioles allowed 39 runs in the doubleheader... all 39 runs were earned. Ouch!
Final score: The Dallas Cowboys defeat the Baltimore Ravens 30-3.
***** It has already lol
More likely, it would be the Cowboys jumped out to a 30-3 lead, and then late in the fourth quarter Tony Romo throws a pick-six to lose 34-33.
mrmacross So true
mrmacross That many points off of 1 touchdown?
Jon Sands Yeah, if it's Tony Romo. It says so in the rule book.
Man the part when the rangers scored was great
I can just hear Jim Ross going from: "What a slobberknocker!" to "STOP THE DAMN GAME! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!"
Bah God those men have families
@@ForeignWarren lmao
Well, at least Baltimore got the field goal...
There’s no field goals in baseball...
TheKinf2 You’re an idiot.

TheKinf2 r/wooooosh
TheKinf2 you dumb
2k on rookie difficulty.
lol
I can just hear Jim Fox (LA Kings TV color man) wrapping it up as a Baltimore announcer: “I really like what I saw out of the Orioles early on. They really came to play and built up a sizable lead. But eventually the Rangers proved too tough and Texas takes this one, 30-3. Good night.”
Man its fun to watch the orioles play their so good were definitely making it to the WS this year.cant wait!
What a nailbiter, who ended up winning?
The O's scored 28 runs in the bottom 9th for a great walk off, thanks to Machado.
Yeah, 15 year old Manny Machado carried this team to 28 runs with 7 grand slams.
@@RockyMtnAdam Machado must've kicked a lot of ankles to pull that off...
@@JustKevVideoStorage LOL
The Yankees Win . The Yankees Win .... Theeeeeeee Yankeeeeeeeeeees Winnnnnnnnnn
Oriole fans were like "up 3 nothing, we got this".
4:57 Kinsler was trying to tell Metcalf not to score. He didn’t want to run up the score...anymore than they already had.
There were quite a few times once it reached a 15 run lead that Rangers stopped at 3rd and could have scored.
Hard to believe that Nelson Cruz is in this video from 13 years ago. Now he’s 39 and leading the league in homers. Crazy
