Black Noir has emerged as the definite fan favorite character from The Boys. He’s wowed us with his incredibly martial arts skills and shocked us with his invulnerability to damage. But he’s also made us laugh with his quirky, silent mannerisms and his silly actions. The point is, Black Noir is a great character who’s only getting better with each passing episode of The Boys season 2.
In fact, we think there’s adequate evidence to suggest he’s the most powerful member of the Seven and it’s him, not Homelander, who’s Vought’s top superhero. Yes, everyone is quick to point at his comic origin as proof of his power, but if there’s one thing to learn from watching The Boys TV show, it’s that producers are not afraid to change things up and adapt things differently than what they are in the comics. This might mean Black Noir has a completely different backstory than the one we’re all familiar with. Will we ever see it? And is he still the most powerful superhero? We definitely think so!
Today’s video is all about Black Noir and his role within the Seven. It will talk about his abilities, his weaknesses and how a Black Noir vs. Homelander fight would go. So check out the video and be sure to leave a comment telling us your favorite Black Noir moment so far and while you’re there, be sure to hit that like and subscribe button for more awesome The Boys content like this. I'm thinking the show version of Black Noir is Edgar's son and still a fail-safe to be used against Homelander if he goes nuts. Black Noir hates nuts...
Yes, he follows Stan Edgar's private assignments so it's a good possibility. He could also be a clone of Stan Edgar which would explain why he wasn't the slightest afraid of Homelander.
Wow.
He’s either Stan Edgar’s son or he’s a clone of Edgar himself who’s been heavily dosed with Compound V.
What would be the point in having a “fail-safe” as you say, that’s vulnerable to bullets and out in the open? We know he’s physically weaker than Homelander in the show so a smart man like Edgar would keep a fail-safe secret until needed.
@@karl6942 I agree. Homelander’s son Ryan is the real fail-safe.

probably just his son to make things easier and more believable. In ep. 7 there were alot of father-to-son themes going on. Butcher with his dad, lamplighter mentioning his father before his own death, Startlight's father was mentioned and Vogulsomething, don't know how to spell it, is basically homelanders dad that also appeared.
This show has solid writing and so far nothing has been hinted at the fact that cloning is even a thing. A lot of idiotic or extreme aspects of the comics are changed in order to make it more viewer friendly.

Now that Starlight is on the side of the Boys, I'm sure Frenchy has some shotgun shells loaded with various tree nuts. That would take him out real quick.
- What makes me wonder about Noir the most, is that he is seemingly the ONLY member of the Seven that reports directly to the top (Edgar). The rest are all beholden to various handlers and marketing people.
He’s just been forgotten so far in season 3
I have a theory about TV Noir. He's under mind control. Unlike literally every other member of the Seven, he shows compassion and empathy to a certain degree. He is cultured, learned and forgiving in comparison to the others. I don't think his actions are entirely his own at many times. Instead of him being an even more insane clone of an already insane Supe, he's a Supe that cares. The problem will come when those shades are finally lifted from his eyes and he finally sees everything he's done over the years. He'll snap in a Batman on Venom kind of way. He will become vengeance, he will become the night and that "No guns, No killing" rule can go fuck itself.
Well, the TV show black noir isn't a clone. We may have one in season 4 perhaps. The problem is that the TV homelander has x-ray vision whereas comic book does not.

If this Black Noir turns out to be the clone of Homelander on the show then he's clearly a defective one similar to Bizzaro is to Superman.
Black noir is well...black in the show.
Bizarro was defective and couldnt kill supes whereas noir completely obliterated homelander in the comics.
@Beyonder his clone can fly but he never got a chance to fly. The dude was killed shortly after he killed homelander.
@Beyonder yep his character bio says he has the exact same powers as homelander but they're amplified and he also is a master at martial arts. It's even stated that his the most skilled martial artist on the planet.
@Beyonder bruh where did I say supes would lose to homelander ?
Wtf. I never stated anywhere that supes would lose. All I said was that bizarro was a defective version of supes. I literally stated in my own comment on this vid that superman would demolish homelander 😑. Stop putting words in my mouth.
Permanently masked and eternally silent, Black Noir is the big mystery man of The Seven. In addition to never showing his face or speaking, Black Noir also goes about his Vought duties with admirable diligence, never questioning orders or deviating from the script. Even Homelander recognizes Noir's unerring consistency and dedication. This makes Black Noir's powers tricky to pin down. Not only does he never explain his abilities, but the character is so secretive, the audience are only afforded small glimpses of Black Noir in action.
We saw part of his face in season 2, two times

But he killed the original.
He's the clone that's playin the clone, disguised as another clone?
I think he is in the comics, but in the show they nerfed him. And the new insurance against Homelander is the kid
YES! The kid dismembered Stormfront while he gave it his all and didn't touch her. His kid also shoved him across the yard like he was bigger than him. I think Black Noir is Stan Edgar's (Vought CEO) son or clone which would explain why Edgar wasn't the least afraid of Homelander even being up and close.
@@madthumbs1564 I like it. That could definitely work.
mad thumbs we’ve seen evidence how Homelander was able to change the power of his lasers. He oh so slowly melted Madison’s face off and cut a jet liner in half in a literal second. I think the kid just showed what the lasers were capable of
They def nerfed Black Noir. He's not as fast (Kimiko cuts him in the alley), stealthy (the butcher a [normal human], catches him on the neighbors roof), nor as invulnerable as Homelander in the series or himself in the comics. So he cant be Homelander's equal especially not his superior.
@@madthumbs1564 dont be idiot. There is no way a kid can beat an adult like homelander. Homelander got pushed didnt mean anything because homelander didnt injured at all

I just remembered that shelled peanuts are yellow. I guess GL and BN are both f’kd.
😂😂😂
I realize that I'm late to the party with this response, but here goes:
Green Lanterns weakness to the color yellow came from an impurity in the central Lantern battery. The central battery is obviously a power source, but it also doubled as a prison for a being known as Parallax. Parallax is the embodiment of fear, and he occupies yellow on the color spectrum, and his imprisonment in the battery comes at the cost of limiting the scope, and powers of members of the Green Lantern Corp, which in this case means that Parallax strips the wielders of the ability to manipulate yellow objects, and weakens the Lanterns constructs if fear overwhelms them.
I mean, he's also black, that's probably evidence he's not a homelander clone

Black noir needs to become good a fight homelander
In the comics black noir punched homelander jaw clean off with one hit
He isn’t on Homelanders side. He is working for the ceos he is most definitely the reason Home lander hasn’t just killed the higher ups.
As Black Noir once said: ...
And I'm totally agree with that
he could still be a plan against homelander. People keep saying since he gets damaged he’s not but we haven’t seen him actually hurt. His body shows the damage but he keeps on going like he’s not hurt at all. So he could possibly still take on homelander
this didnt age well lol
“Skip here to avoid comic spoilers”
*immediately repeats spoiler from before timestamp*
Black Noir having near invincibility, definitely makes him smarter than Homelander.
He knows he can't just walk right into a hail of bullets or fire without damage, hence why he tends to dodge, or just power through like usual.
But Homelander is too cocky, he believes he can withstand anything, and practically can. So when he possibly gets injured for the first time, I doubt he'll know what to do with himself.
