    Whenever you get past the originally intended speeds, replacing the grease that's packed in the transaxle with thick gear oil is essential, unless you want to blow out the transaxle. Also, it will heat up quickly due to it being spun much faster than manufacturing spec.

    Heres a few extra tips
    1. Lower the mower closer to the ground. That way your center of gravity is lower and you wont have to worry as much about flipping
    2. You can change the wheel size in the back of the mower so you can achieve higher or lower speeds.
    3. Be very careful about how fast you spin that engine. You can lose the flywheel, connecting rod or the torque converter because non of those parts are meant to spin over 3000rpm. (Give or take a bit) I had my torque converter blow on my go kart cause I was turning it like 5500 RPM. Just be safe and have fun, other than that awesomd video

    • @synshenron798
      @synshenron798 Před 6 měsíci +2

      @@johnraitt2555 well do keep in mind I had a flywheel and connecting rod that were billet aluminium and they are rated for up to about 8000 rpm. The torque converter is not, so when you run a high rpm engine like that you have to have like a multi plate clutch or like a juggernaut TC thats actually rated for those rpms. You just need to put an aluminium flywheel and connecting rod in an engine like that if your gonna turn those RPMs. Please please please do not remove the governor until you put those parts in because if the cast iron flywheel comes apart I promise it will rip and tear through whatever it hits. Ive seen guys on mini bikes have to have their leg amputated because the flywheel shattered and shrapnel tore apart their leg. And everyone thinks it wont happen to them, until it does. Seriously $200-$300 is not that much compared to the hospital bills youll have to get your leg, back or whatever other body part fixed.

      All I’d say with lowering it is you’d have to watch the brackets.
      You could flip the gearbox round and lower it that way and then just put the pulleys in a different position

    In South Dakota there are a few towns that have mower racing tracks, small dirt ovals. i think there are 3 different classes. the fastest ones are called Outlaw, they are 100% modified and are basically go carts that use a lawnmower hood lol. i think none of them use the original transaxle and instead use some sort of farm equipment gear box, now that i think about it idk how they connect the engine to the gearbox lol. They use single cylinder mower engines, and i think all add their own performance carb
