My favorite for a very long time has been the Shadow Demons because of the Synergy between the Death Knight and Dragon. Recently I discovered a hidden secret with Mosswood Trolls that makes playing with Shards very fun. You lure the monster out of the lair. Win or loose the battle, it doesn't matter because you can get regenerate in the lair. As long as the ghost don't try to occupy the lair you can return with a shard. It works beautifully. Thank you for the unique video about Dwellings. I Even though each faction has specific abilities, when you factor in the different Adventure cards you can deveople your characters. I once created a Death Knight that could fly like a dragon and always activate a tableau card from the Underworld. That was a excellent game!
Cult of the Nightqueen which you have as the lowest om the list is top tier imo. In fact it's damn near broken. It's trickier to play but if you know what to go for the payoff is insane. Here's why. Aquiring as many resources as quickly as possible is the most important aspect of this game. Storm Horde is OP because the dragon can get 4 resources in one placement via 2 treasure tokens but what if I told you that summoning your Warrior, Mage and Dragon for the total cost of 3 resources (or less with Recruit spell) as opposed to paying 9 specific resources is much better. While your opponents go broke on dwelling and summoning their units. You can get your dragon mage or warrior for a single sword and instead spend all those resources you saved on early tableau cards. Slot them and regroup and activate your new tableau cards to make all your resources back and repeat til you've made all 6 dwellings. It's the fastest faction by far. Storm Horde is very strong for the same reason that it can accelerate resource generation but since it costs you 3 resources to summon the most you profit is 1 resource in the best case of getting two double resource treasure tokens and then you need to regroup and place again in order to benefit from the effect again. Meanwhile Nightqueen does the same but stays in momentum with a resource tray that's never short on supplies. You get your teleport flight and warrior out faster and cheaper than every other faction, you get tons of tableau cards quickly, you can activate all of your tableau card effects on regroups, stay rich and afford anything you need to win the game. I looked at many forums and discussions about the best factions and this one is never mentioned. Seriously underrated. If u read all this, try this strategy against your friends. I'll give you a hint. Start on portal if you can and pay a sword to get a worker. Place your 3 workers get resources you need for the tableau cards you'll wanna buy. When you regroup regroup swap the remaining worker on your ready area for dragon warrior or wizard and go to dungeon dungeon from there. Repeat the process of spamming portal + summon on your tableau whenever the opportunity arises. You'll often get to play this way as other players are focused on getting treasure tokens and are less likely to place on portal or other ruins in the early turns.
@@GameVinereviews Now that I think of it, it's probably best to swap for the warrior first as you'll be able to directly place it on portal in the next round to buy your sacrificed worker back so you're really guaranteed to get either your dragon or mage for 1 resource on the second regroup as well.
I'm not sure I quite understood the way you used the trolls, but they don't get anything when they regenerate. They are "moved" and not placed. So no tile activation or resource gathering.
The dragon's power of the Firewitch Goblins still works in solo, doesn't it? It would mean discarding 1 magic card of the Ghost player (which equals minus 1 point for them) :)
