A year late, but this is an actual thing lawyers should do. Even if you're going to get overruled, you'll want to object as a way to break up the testimony. You don't want a witness for the other side to tell their story without interruption. Maybe the judge will let some of the objections be sustained and now you can stop their flow of questioning. Or you lose them all and the jury doesn't get too invested in the flow of conversation.
At this point I wouldnât be surprised if Amber and her lawyers accused Johnny Depp of child abuse and used Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as footage proof

All the people personally backing him up, all his employees (no matter how small their job was)he treated them with respect. He is a good person, and even in the off chance he loses this trial, he got his named cleared. Its not just the fact that he brings humor into the situation, its the fact that you can just tell he's being genuine and is a good person. Not a lawyer, but I think that specific objection was fine. After Depp said he doesn't know, he proceeds to try to take a guess, or speculate. The lawyer was pointing out that he doesn't know, and nothing else said would be of value.
But yeah, most of his objections are dumb, and he's a clown.

Yeah, but it is kind of their job to stop the other side from giving anything more since if it is outside the question or they give context, it might sway the jury when they could've stopped it. I want JD's lawyers to object just as much to AH's witnesses and her when she goes on the stand. I hope they make her blow up.

Meanwhile, what the original person was saying, was that JD's lawyers didn't object to any of the crap that turd's lawyers were putting him through, and letting things ride because they trust JD's position.
That's the difference. They aren't going to call objections on what JD says, because he's their client obviously, but they also weren't objection happy on any of Turd's lawyer's questions in the same way that Turd's lawyers were objecting anything and everything from anyone asking on whatever he could muster up for a reason to object if it went remotely against their narrative.
JD's lawyers were far more relaxed with things suggesting they're more confident in JD's case.
