    out of a dozen or so rear cam install videos that I watched, your the only one that indicated the trigger wires to connect to at the rear backup light! Good Show!

    I was wondering if the camera is mounted on the licence plate and not in the center of the jeep .Wont the camera view be hard to line up

    Does the placement of the camera due to the license plate being toward the left side of the car effect how alignment of the rear view camera

    • @larrys9879
      @larrys9879 Před 2 lety +1

      Yes. The backup guidelines are off center and there is no way to compensate for this problem. This off center alignment creates a blind spot and makes the vehicle on the rear right side of your Jeep at risk for a collision. I disengaged the parking guidelines and use my camera as a rear view camera instead of a backup camera. Jeeps rear view is a problem due to the spare tire, but the camera gives a clear rear view picture. I think the camera is worth it just for a clear line of sight behind you, but it doesn’t work well as a backup camera.

    Does the camera block the light on the plate at night? Don't want to get a ticket. If so, can it be bolted to the bottom of the plate?

    Provo Beast..do you have videos or details to install a back up camera installation for a Nissan Versa HB 2007-12?

    I installed the camera to a Kenwood DNX576s and getting a black screen. I redid the ground and still have the same problem. What could else could it be?

    LOL why wouldn't you show how this back up camera works when it is side mounted. It would actually complete and install. Good video though.

    What size drill bit did you use to drill out the new hole on the plate bracket? And what is the best size fastener to use. Thanks.

    I have a 2009 Jeep JK with a Smittybilt Over Size tire Carrier and 12 inch wide tires. I was told by a Best Buy tech that I would not get full view because of my spare tire sticking out to far.
    Do you know if this true? Any other alternative to install or another type of camera?

    So do you hookup any wires to the green trigger wire? U showed us but didn't mention it.

  • @spec24
    @spec24 Před 5 lety

    Your little gap, when you start tucking the wire, is missing the connecting plug that holds that trim to the floor. How did you remove it without breaking it? Or did you just break and and say fuck it?

    The only concern i have is that a jeeps license plate isnt centered. Is it noticeable or does it still get the job done? I saw videos where people mount it on their spare but that seems harder to do.

      Same question. I have a spare tire mounted cam but service station broke the head off it when they pulled the spare tire. Wanting to relocate but need to make sure it will align ok and not look off center.

    You should use a center camera better view

    My video wire has a small power wire with it. I've hooked it up exactly like you but it's not triggering my camera. It's automatic jeep and I also have the pioneer stereo. I'm stumped. Not sure if I tap into the green wire with the red wire that comes with video plug? U didn't mention it.

      I’ve run into the same problem. I taped into the harness but not getting anything when go in reverse. My Sony headunit just says no signal detected. Wondering if you found a solution.

    • @Rogue.Rider0
      @Rogue.Rider0 Před 4 lety +1

      @@cthomashannon I figured it out. That little red wire is used in automatic as well. Hook it up reverse wire in rear and at back of pioneer head unit find purple with black stripes wire and wire it to that.

    Any recommendations on what wire to use if I want the camera to be powered all the time? Would like to be able to keep an eye on the trailer while I am driving.

    • @johnnyphung79
      @johnnyphung79 Před 2 lety

      Split the power wire into 2 wires, 1 go to the reverse camera and the other one go to the battery plus

    How accurate is the distance while backing up? Or is the camera just to see obstacles?. My question is....the new cars come with backup system and it tells you exactly the distance....is this the same?. Thanks

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  Před 5 lety +1

      Well, you get what you pay for, and these cameras are universal. So its up to interpretation on how well they do, but most people like it just to view behind them, rather than truly judging the distance of objects behind them.

    • @spec24
      @spec24 Před 5 lety

      You need collision sensors for that.
