    With all the sea shantys in the news recently I started searching based on the top ten sea shantys. This was in the list and I found your video, I've now brought the song and play it on repeat over and over! It's very well put together well done!

      I believe the song is Irish - the other time I hear the song, it was sung by Gaelic Storm, an Irish based folk group.

      It's Scottish about the British whaling fleets (much of which was Scottish ) and Peterhead was a Scottish port involved the industry. The Diamond was (I think) part of the Aberdeen Fleet but could have been sailing from Peterhead which is just about 30 miles to the North of Aberdeen
